Hey Ich, mind if I ask who you're referring to in your post? Slavik was promoted during his time within the project not too mention the fact he was one of the original soldiers that joined with the group.

I believe Teo is referring to Makarov. The reason he assumed they were getting a new sergeant is likely due to how much older Makarov is than the other recruits.
