The plot this time around is going to be the same. You vets don't have to use the same characters. In fact, you're encouraged to use new ones. This will make the story different. At Ali's suggestion (and, incidentally, this is how it has turned out in the novel), totems and people will be able to access their runes' abilities.

Follow the cs guideline laid out in the link and post them here. If you have any queries, please ask. It is suggested that you newer players, or those who are eager to start, begin in the orphanage or at least in Refthelm. Of course, it would be beneficial for a few of you to appear later on. This is not to say that you can't participate early on. You could narrate what your character(s) may be doing in the meantime.

I'm a bit curious as to how the magic actually works in this word. You statte that it's done based on runes "equipped" to your totem, but how does it actually work? Do you have to make gestures or some kind of incantation involving your totem, or do you just will the effects into being? Also, can you essentially create any kind of spell that would form under the theme of your rune, or does it only allow basic manipulation? Also, what can actually count as a rune? I ask because while reading through the old thread I read through stuff like space and multiplication runes; so would stuff like Moon, Sky and life count as possible runes?

I should specify that the runes section of the cs is just a placeholder for any that you receive during the course of the game. You probably won't have one at the start of the adventure (if you're starting at the orphanage) or if you choose not to use one.
