Jessica-~Gia Panta~ High Command~ Prison Area

Jessica watched the cat with a weak smile. The cat was confused he a lot, but there was something about it that made Tallis cute and interesting. I think I’m already getting used to it. How cute you are makes me feel more at ease too.

Jessica watched the cat pleasantly, and gracefully stroll toward her leg, puching her head up against it. Again, another weak smile, accompanied by a cute giggle said everything to Tallis. She may have been somewhat dishearten when cat turned down the apple, Jessica stroked the cat one more time, gliding a finger over Tallis’s head, down her neck, and over the felines back. If you say so.

Jessie stood up, and walked against the wall, ready to be frisked. Again, she found herself in this position again so she knew the routine already. She took a bite from the apple, then put her hands against the wall, the apple still in her hand. She hated being touched and all, but even in the position she was in. She would not tolerate someone touching her in the wrong places and would most certainly knock their ugly head off their shoulders.

Chris bumped his head against Ashleys and giggled in the helmet again. He tried to whisper into Ashley's ear for a few seconds before deciding it was easier without the visor between them I like him, he's got a sense of humour too, he doesn't seem to have a stick up his ass and he doesn't seem to be surrounded by angry enemies. That is a nice change from the bunch we've been running into lately. He replied reluctantly. I bet he's cool, he looks cool, don't you think he looks cool. asked Chris. Ashley shrugged Meh. Let's ask him for help. How could he help? That's why I'm gonna ask him.

Chris turned and grinned drunkenly at him. Hello citizen, my name is Chris, and my vomit covered elven....ish friend here is called Ashley, say hello Ashley. Hello Ashley. Don't be snide. Anyway, me and Ashley here- Hi again. -need some help in various illegitimate, illegal ,and normally, indecent escapades. That's true, it's a bit creepy how much indecency there is. Yeah, anyway. We've found herself in a bit of a fix due to a liquidation of funds and the inability to move around legitimately. So we were wondering... If you could help us out in that department. Goddamnit Ashley, stop interrupting me. Screw you, I'll say what I want, when I want. Arrogant bitch. Narcacisstic prick. But you love that about me. It amuses me, yes. Ahhh, you love me. Anyway, I get the feeling you may be able to help us out in that area.

-[ Frankie Degenstein - Stalum Street ]-

Money money money…moneeeyyyy. A chance to make money, well sure. Frankie pivoted on his heel and turned back. "Frankie, so what exactly can I help you with? Just transit, or do you want me to transport something. ". He inquired, running a hand through his dirty blonde locks and grinning in anticipation. These two were quite the duo. A bit twisted, but Frankie didn't mind at all
"Suddenly Frodo noticed that a strange-looking weather-beaten man, sitting in the shadows near the wall, was also listening intently to the hobbit-talk. He had a tall tankard in front of him, and was smoking a long-stemmed pipe curiously carved. His legs were stretched out before him, showing high boots of supple leather that fitted him well, but had seen much wear and were now caked with mud. A travel-stained cloak of heavy dark-green cloth was drawn close about him, and in spite of the heat of the room he wore a hood that overshadowed his face; but the gleam of his eyes could be seen as he watched the hobbits."

----Jace----

The guard sighed, as he repeated the same statement. "No animals are to be allowed within the compou-"

He was interrupted by the split-second sound of metal, then the ruffle as something was cut apart. Suddenly blood was on the ceiling, and mainly on the back of Jessica's neck.

The headless body of a guard fell to the ground, blood spurting from the stump. Jace stood, coldly staring at the body, his face and some of his arm covered in blood. The head rolled into the corner, the vacant eyes of the once-guard staring up at them.

In the few moments that the guard had been speaking, the guard frisking Jessica had gone in for a little more then was professional, Jace immediately saw this and in one motion unsheathed the sword of memories and lopped off the unfortunate guard's head. "Under no circumstances are you to touch Miss Swift or her escort. To do so is an infraction against Lord Frostheim and is punishable by immediate execution." Jace said to the remaining guards who were still confused and quite afraid of Jace at the moment. Jace calmly cleaned off his sword with a nearby rag and sheathed it. He did not bother wiping off the blood on his face.

"Oh dear me, you appear to be very busy." Zackariah said as he entered the room. He put his hands on his hips as he observed the situation. "I do love a bit of blood in the afternoon, however, ha ha ha." The Undead laughed.

Jessica- Gia Panta- High Command- Prison Area.

She instantly knew that the guard’s intention was something other than a professional frisk. The guard began to touch her in a wrong manner, making her not only mad, but scared. Her arms began to feel enlightened, ready to swing back and nail the guard right in the head, then beating him up from there. Her body began to feel tense, as his hands continued to feel then, however, before she could even think, the sound of a metal object being unsheathed rung in her ears.

Something warm splattered on her neck, and several loud thuds sounded soon after. She no longer felt the guard’s hands on her, but the warm feeling on the back of her neck was anything but pretty. She could tell it was blood.

Jessica shivered, shaking at the knees and arms like a tree leaves in the wind, slowly sliding down to the ground to her knees. She didn't know why, but she began to shake, inwardly crying. Her eyes wide open, Jessica put her hand on her neck, whipping the warm substance off her neck, and as she expected, it was indeed blood. Jessica moved her eyes, looking at the beheaded soldiers head, staring at her.

Zack appeared as if out of no where. If she didn't think was strange before, she certainly thought so now as Zack stated how he loved the blood. Now she felt a bad aura from him. She probably didn't feel as scared around him before because Jazz was there, but now...

Chris grinned till it seemed like his head would spilt open at the sides. That depends on a couple of things, my dear new friend. Oh joy, another one, poor sod. he muttered to himself, before flashing a quick innocent smile to Frank. Chris stumbled to his own two fight and walked slowly to Frankie, lifting up two fingers. Numero Uno, have you been called suicidal and crazy by over fifty people, cause otherwise you probably don't have the experience or mentality to help me. He reached into a pocket as he reached Frankie and spun round to lean on his shoulder. Do you take cheques... He pulled out his hand and held it out in front of them. or cold hard shiny cash? as the golden coins glittered in the light from the bar. So, what be your answer matey? Will you join our crew, eh? Ashley skipped over to Frankies other side and leaned in. You wanna join the creepshow handsome? We could use another member to spice things up a little. Stop hitting on the poor man Ashley. Sorry.

Lady Ivy “Xantara” Swift ~ Gia Panta // High Command// Prison quarters

Ivy stared numbly at where the guard had been a moment before, taken aback by the sudden action. The female elf exhaled deeply as she recovered from the shock. Well she breathed, …at least we know we’re going to be looked after, here… she grimaced as she thought about it. Although I’m not sure instant execution is exactly what I had in mind. She looked down at the decapitated body, looked to her apple, and then slowly put it down. Suddenly she’d lost her appetite.

However, she had noticed the sword Jace had used. She did recognise it. It was indeed from the Forest of Memories, like she had suspected. But how had it got from the forest into High Command, she was completely bewildered. “…Where did you get that sword?” she asked, staring at Jace.

But her eyes then went to Jessica, who was on the floor by that point. The Demi Goddess went over to the girl, crouching down and putting an arm around her in order to comfort her. “Are you alright?” Ivy asked her, leaning towards Jessica with concern. “Are you hurt?” Ivy carefully and gently helped Jessica back to her feet, keeping an arm around her for support.

Ivy then turned to look as Zackariah entered. Tallis, who had been watching the events in slight bemusement, had just been about to argue with the other guard and to ask her question again. “Excuse me,” she began, clearing her throat…However at the sight of the Undead Lord, the feline’s ears flattened to her skull, her highly-held tail dropping. “Uhh…on second thought…” Abandoning the argument the tortoiseshell backed away, retreating to the safety of her demi-god’s feet. She stayed there, peeking out from behind Ivy’s legs with watchful eyes.

Ivy found herself feeling slightly sick, although whether that was from the body or from Zackariah’s presence she wasn’t too sure. Perhaps it was a combination of both. The youthful woman regarded the Undead, noticing Jessica’s brother wasn’t with him. “Where’s Jazz?” she asked.

Ekora Faus (formerly Mystara Hallow) ~ Krimlo // Monolith Hangar

As Ekora felt the energy being tugged away from her, her mouth opened slightly in surprise. Even though she was sure there was no need to worry, she couldn’t help but feel alarmed for a moment. What is it doing? She stared as something began to take shape in the darkness, before looking back to the man holding her hand.

Ekora gazed in a paralysed mixture of awe and fear…and for some reason she couldn’t quite explain, sadness. He was so beautiful, seemingly more so than she thought she’d ever seen him before. But there was something different about him. Something which shocked her. As her eyes travelled up his body, she noticed in dismay the scars just near his shoulder blades, the burnt remains of feathers and the protruding bone underneath the stitching. And…what was that above his head? Ekora stared at it, suddenly terrified for her father. She wanted to get the dark ring away from him, she was so scared it would swallow him up. What would happen if it did? If it hurt him…
But she was so confused about what she was seeing. What had happened to her father? The appearance of him stunned her, in more ways than one. She just couldn’t stop staring.

It was only then that she remembered the shape, the circling serpent that had been forming, and turned to look back at it. Her stare was now of amazement, as she watched something emerge from the gap the looped serpent had made. The girl shielded her eyes from the sudden light…she couldn’t see anything, but she could hear words being spoken to her…

And then it was gone. Her vision returned to normal, the monolith still staring at her. She was so stunned by the experience that she almost jumped when Gabriel spoke to her. She blinked in surprise as her father was apparently prevented from explaining about the object.
“So, you can’t tell me what just happened?” Ekora asked, as they started to walk back. She still felt dazed from the ordeal, perplexed about what she had just seen. She looked up to her father. She couldn’t see the thick shadowy loop over his head anymore, but she got the feeling like it was still there, somehow…Ekora gripped Gabriel’s hand more tightly. She moved closer, her body (although most notably her bosom) practically pressing against his arm in what was almost a hug, as she suddenly felt the need to be nearer to him.

“Daddy,” she spoke, her expression looking troubled. “…I...You’re ok, aren’t you?” The girl clung close to his arm, worried. What the girl had witnessed confused her. She didn’t know how to explain to him what she had seen…what he had looked like…

{Krimlo -- Walking}

Gabriel looked around as he walked with Ekora. For some period of extended time, she was silent. Just following him in a stunned state of shock and awe. He could tell from her eyes that she had just seen into the true sight the monolith used. The essence of an ancient power still could be felt just beyond the edges of her eyes, though it was quickly evaporating into nothing.

But then she spoke up. Gabriel slowed his pace as they strolled across the catwalk. His body froze as she pressed closer, tightly gripping his hand. The warmth of her living body and the soft, beckoning touch of her... "I am fine, my dear..." He quickly adjusted his thoughts, returning to her worries. "I do not know what you saw... But I do know that the place that eye watches us from only possesses souls. Nothing can physically exist there. And thus, to see into that realm, you had to see into a soul." Faus turned his head, voice echoing through his helmet. "I hope that helps."

He began walking with her again, trying to keep himself strictly to business while they were still inside the fortress. Gabriel couldn't help himself, though, as he returned the fond grip Ekora gave him, drawing her in even closer. "... Thank you for helping me. We should do some things; just the two of us today. And you get to choose. I want you to pick the things that you'd most enjoy, my sweet rose."

Jessica- Gia Panta- High Command- Prison Area.

Jessica couldn't focus on anything, she couldn't think of anything, she was too shook up to do anything. She didn't even notice Ivy until she put her arm around her warmly, however, Jessica shook upon the touch, still scared. When Jessica heard Ivy's voice though, she breathed calmly for a moment, at ease in Ivy's arms.

"Y-Yes, I'm alright, please, you don't need to worry about me..." She spoke softly trying to sound somehow brave, though her voice could easily say otherwise. Her brother always taught her to be tough in tight spots, but that was easy for a stupidly brave person to do. I was just startled was all... Jessica stood up with the help of Ivy. Her voice and breathe shook like her legs as she rose up from the floor, her eyes still could not focus, she didn't notice she was looking at the Undead Lord who walked in just moments before. Tallis soon retreated back to Ivy, mindlessly watching the cat with lifeless eyes.

Jessica didn't see Jazz either which worried her deeply. Her mind became cluttered ad her heart heavy, but she kept strong. She focused into things around her, getting a grip on herself. "Where's my brother?... She repeated after Ivy. She didn't want to think of the possibilities of what could have happened to him, but it was impossible for her not to think about them.

Jazz- Gia Panta- High Command- Prison Area.

Jazz sat in the cold darkness, a concrete room which had become his new home. For now. He would get out sooner or later.

"How do I pass the time?..." He thought. Being in a dark and silent room would get boring sooner or later, so why not do something to pass the time?. "I know, I'll sing a few songs.~"

"Remember when you ran away and I got on my knees and begged you not to
leave because I'd go berserk?? Well...
You left me anyhow and then the days got worse and worse and now you see
I've gone completely out of my mind.. And..
They're coming to take me away, ha-haaa!!
They're coming to take me away, ho-ho, hee-hee, ha-haaa
To the funny farm. Where life is beautiful all the time and I'll be
happy to see those nice young men in their clean white coats and they're
coming to take me away, ha-haaa!!!!!
You thought it was a joke and so you laughed, you laughed when I had said
that loosing you would make me flip my lid.. RIGHT???
I know you laughed, I heard you laugh, you laughed you laughed and
laughed and then you left, but now you know I'm utterly mad... And.." Jazz suddenly stopped. He had forgotten the rest of the lyrics to the song. He sat in the darkness, disappointed. "Well that sucks..."

Frankie grinned, oh good. A couple of crazy motherfuckers, his kind of people."Ha, I've been called crazy over and hundred times." he smirked. "Cold hard cash, if you please. Half now, half when we get to where you're going. Nice threads by the way." he replied, holding out his hand. He was euphoric, he'd just won a whole whack of money in a card game and now he was about to take on a job. Oh money, the world turns for thee.

Amir 'Sven' Malachi--Healen's Mansion

Before Healen took a breath to answer, there were shots being fired all over the room. Quickly and protectively, Amir generously pushed Pan into the collar of his shirt, a large inner pocket already being held open for the animal to hide inside. Amir ducked as one bullet buzzed over his head and he stood up straight to direct Healen elsewhere.

The bullet was more precise than some lunatic with a weapon. From the trajectory and the way Healen's head jerked forward with the force of the bullet, someone had wanted him dead. Amir was stock still at first, gunfire blazing past him as others were harmed by the assault. He was covered in Healen's brain bits--literally--and blood that belonged to the fatter man. With a frown Amir looked down at his clothes and scowled.

"Ah, bloody hell!" Amir cursed some more under his breath before he briskly made his way away from the dead body. Jumping over the counter of the bar he landed to find Amber, drinking from a broken glass. Amir raised his eyebrow at her when she jumped in shock before relaxing against the wood.

"You're bleeding." She stated sharply and Amir waved his hand dismissively.

"Isn't mine sweetheart but ever so happy to find you worried about my health. Let's go, party's over."

"Oh really? I couldn't tell, what with all the bullets whizzing by I could have sworn it just got started." Amir chuckled shortly before he grabbed her wrist, making the glass drop to the floor as they took off from the hiding place. The blazing attack of bullets didn't last long, but the house did begin to collapse on top of those running and screaming for their lives.

The sounds of the explosives were somewhere below the mansion, floor caving in under the destructive obliteration of the main beams that held the house up. The three of them managed to get outside but as for any stragglers, Amir was uncertain. Coughing from the dust and debris in the air, the recipients of the chaos from the party attempted to grab a hold of what had happened. Amir knew in the back of his mind without having any clues other than what with the brutality Healen was killed with that the fat man was assassinated. His Sons would not take kindly to the news. If there were even any still left.

"....Pan," Amir started, eyes glowing in the dust as the Demi-god moved farther from the fallen mansion and scanned the remaining party members. No one of real importance. "Are you alright? I'd be extremely let down if you've suffered a heart attack. I need to find someone, are the scouts still here?"

He asked as he opened his jacket and smiled as he helped the Ermine out of his clothes. He walked onto the lawn, where Pan--and himself--could breath easier, away from the rubble. Amir wanted to find Major Valerian. But as he watched groups of people escape the dust, he frowned more and more at the lack of the face he desired. Is James even still here? He wondered.
Perhaps you are asking the wrong questions?

Oh Frankie Frankie Frankie... Chris shook his head from side to side, clicking his tongue. This is half the pay. He dropped the bag of coins into Frankies hand and gave him a quick pat on the back. Believe me, I'm probably still getting the best end of the deal here. He's not kidding, the only reason we're alive is that we're the statistical outliers on the survivability curve. They grimaced in unison as they remembered some of the more messy experiences of their past adventures. Poor Bob... They sighed and looked at the ground in silence for a moment. He shouldn't have been wearing red socks... Anywho. Chris pulled out an image of Faus. Yeah, we're going to be pissing off this guy here, so we're going to have to get in and out as quickly as possible. And we're gonna join the Indolentia. Mainly because we're going to be needing help, fast. We're going to be doing a lot of running. Also, I know, my clothes are nice, aren't they? Thanks for mentioning it.

{Krimlo -- Faus' Chambers}

Gabriel lifted his head a bit, hearing a light knock at his door. He looked over, seeing that the knock hadn't woken Ekora up from her rest. Something that was much needed, after the earlier events. Which had been delayed by one fool's interruption.

The event played out quickly in Faus' mind. He and Ekora had retired early to his bed for...strenuous activities. Nearly two hours in and someone had opened the door using a security ID to unlock it, then barged in during Ekora's...personal enjoyment. Gabriel grinned a bit, glad that his daughter had been the most unpleased. The charged ball of living voltage she'd shoved into him during the coitus interruptus had shown how much of a Faus she really was now.

Never interrupt a Faus and private fun... Many wars were fought in the past for that very reason. Faus inwardly remarked in thought, rising to his feet and strolling to his door. By the time he opened it, the messenger had run off. After the earlier fiasco, it was likely any visitors were going to do the same. Looking down, he blinked a few times. After shifting his pelvis a bit, he finally viewed the file laying on the floor. He quickly snatched it up and sealed the door back, turning to proceed toward his small desk for documentations and official business.

Several minutes passed as Gabriel carefully scanned through every line of text. The few odd photos provided insight as to the individuals mentioned, lightening his workload. But it all seemed to be just what he needed. A slow smile spread across Gabriel's lips as he set the file down, amused. Clever, Commander... You can't usurp Frost's authority directly as you'd prefer, so you alert me while you're away on business... And I'm especially sure you wouldn't mind if he or I end up taking a hit on this one while you just lean back and sit pretty to the politicians. Faus stood up and moved quickly to his shower station.

The night was just beginning...

{Healen's Mansion}

A figure began to move amidst the dusted cloud surrounding the downfall of the mansion. Several others then followed behind as James stumbled forward through the debris and dust, lightly coughing like the other men behind him. He looked up, noticing Amir with a mild look of relief in his eyes. But it quickly passed as he turned, slowly stepping back as the other men began regaining their composure. If Amir was into proper information, or cared, he would recognize one as being one of Healen's top lieutenants. He looked up between James and Amir, visibly growling with frustration.

"You!" The man shouted, pointing at James, whom he knew for certain was a member of Indolentia. "Thanks to you and your damned force, we just lost our leader tonight!" He looked ready to jump forward for a moment, then looked around as if expecting the shadows to come alive with Imperials. "... As soon as I return to the rest of the Sons, our business with you people ends..."

James quickly looked to Amir, then to the furious man, his mind abound with various ideas. He quickly walked over to Amir, eyes glancing after the man who was very likely the new leader of the Sons of Kings. "This could be a problem. But we might want to gather whoever we can and get out of here fast. Wouldn't want to get attacked again or anything..." He calmly stated, giving Amir a careful look. They would need to discuss matters somewhere safe.

James then tossed around a few quick glances, curious if the mercenary he'd hired just that night had managed to survive. He then began noticing that he started to hurt, since the rush of adrenaline had started dying down. A quick glance and he found his left arm limp, dislocated by the assault. He quickly reset the shoulder with a loud pop, not too proud to hide the slight grunt from the sharp pain that came with it.

{Gabriel Faus -- Gia Panta}

The arrival of the Abel was unexpected, to say the least. Frost's personnel and staff were running around in a frenzy, hurriedly trying to accommodate the recent arrival of the military leader among the Tarot. Faus marched forward, his few guards in tow as they marched at a brisk pace to keep up with their lord. Gabriel's horned helmet hid the very amused face of Lord Faus as he quickly made his way down to the prisoner containment block. He walked along the cells, pointing out each of the ones the file had shown to him.

"Them." Faus stated. One of his men stepped forward as the nearest guard came running forward to see what was happening. But before he could speak, Gabriel's soldier quickly relieved him of his security card and opened the sealed doors. Gabriel's men piled in, dragging Jazz and the others right out of Frost's custody. Just in time, Faus turned to see his fellow Undead suddenly turning a corner to approach. He lifted his hand, shutting Frost up right away.

"New Dawn Protocol: All unregistered prisoners of the 501st are to be freed, regardless or crimes or suspicion, once all 501st operations are cancelled in each area. By law, Frost, I have come to release these fine, upstanding citizens." Under his helmet, Faus was holding back a mocking snicker, keeping himself as strict to business as he could. He snapped his fingers, his men coming to attention and escorting the former captives. "Men, take them outside to the city's public zone and release them..." He followed closely as his men began leaving with Ivy and company, personally escorting them through the halls and leading them outside.

Once they were a block away, Faus stopped everyone and looked directly to the three, sweeping his hand out toward the streets. "You are officially freed from Frost's custody, citizens..."

“Pan” Pantalaimon ~ Outside Healen’s Mansion

An indignant voice spoke up from inside the male Demi god’s pocket. “My Lord, when I implied you almost gave me a heart attack earlier, that was a figure of speech,” Pan’s muffled voice replied matter-of-factly. The ermine had been trembling inside Amir’s jacket for the entire duration of the disaster, and only now did he stop shaking to poke his head out. “Heart attack,” he muttered. “Hah, the cheek! Our hearts are as strong as our minds, but thank you very much for your concern.”

As Amir helped him out, Pan shook himself out, fur bristling up from head to tail before flattening out again. “The two fly scouts we had didn’t make it out of the building in time, but Jalent – our fox scout – was outside when the firing started, and he’s currently lying low in the bushes, some distance away,” the snowy creature reported. “He can track the scents of anyone you want to find…But perhaps there’s no need to search right now,” he added quietly, nodding to the figures approaching them.

Ivy’s snowy white scout took position once again on Amir’s shoulder, observing the events silently. Pan decided he would continue to play the role of inconspicuous pet until they were at a safer location.

Lady Ivy “Xantara” Swift ~ Gia Panta // High Command – Being released?

Ivy blinked back her surprise, as the three of them were taken out of their cells and escorted outside.
Release us? she thought, wondering if she’d heard right. Well this is unexpected… she thought, bemused.
‘Fine upstanding citizen’…I don’t think I’ve ever heard anyone call me that before…oh if only Tallis was still around to hear that. she giggled inwardly to herself, Tallis having been summoned away when they were escorted to their cells. But the Demi-goddess was certainly not going to complain. Hard to believe it though it was, this certainly seemed like welcoming news to her.

As they stepped out into the streets, she breathed in the night air deeply, letting her chest rise as the cool free-flowing air filled her lungs, before softly breathing out again. She’d missed being outside. Being a demi-goddess of nature, the outside world was where she felt most at home…and the most free. It was not an exaggeration that Ivy could taste the freedom out here. The fact that they were being released only added to the sensation.

But she still couldn’t believe their luck. She exchanged looks with Jazz and Jessica, before looking back in the Undead Lord’s direction.
“…Thank you, my Lord…” the lady Demi god nodded slowly, unable to believe it herself that she was saying the words, but saying them nonetheless.
Slowly she turned, still stunned by the recent turn of events, and set her sights on the streets. Looking back at the siblings to see if they would follow, she drew her cloak around her and started to walk away down the road. She wouldn’t risk heading for HQ tonight, not after everything that had happened. “Have you two got anywhere to stay for the night?” the lady elf asked Jazz and Jessica, looking back at them with her bright green eyes.

Dan Slate and Rusty, Gia panta, Healen's mansion...... what was left of it.

Dan sat only a few feet away from the rubble, his body still a bit battered from being slammed into and then thrown a good few feet back by the door of the mansion. Still, he thought it was better than being blasted into a bunch of tiny over overconfident bits. Which is what may have happened if he had been a there a few seconds early coming back from the garage. Dan glanced at Rusty who sat there gleefully staring at the site of the demolished mansion with it's tongue hanging out and it's tail happily waggling. "It must be easy being a dog, huh?" Dan said to his canine friend. Rusty just turned to Dan for a few short seconds and then back to face the mansion again, not once did Rusty's facial expression change.

Dan lit a cigaret, then noticed some movement in the rubble. People then started emerging from dust and rock. "Well would you look at that. Some people actually survived." Dan has to admit there where more survivors than he thought there would be. "Oi Rust, go and see if anyone of those among the survivors is our client. I'll join you in a sec, just gotta try and stand first." Rusty gave a quick nod then slowly made his way towards the people.

Jazz and Jessica~ Gia Panta~ Streets of the city~ "See? I told you I was a good citizen ma!"

~Jazz~

Soldiers came into Jazz's cell again. He was dumbfounded. He was already in his cell, why were they coming back in?

One soldier picked up Jazz by the arm, putting him on his feet. They proceeded to escort him (roughly) out of the cell. Though he didn't mind leaving the cell, he was still quite confused. He struggled some, expecting a prosecution for him or at the very least, torture. He flung around, trying to not move an inch.

"Hey hey, I bruise easily, don't be so rough! Are you rough like that with your dolls in bed? Would you like to carry me instead?"

~~~~~~~
-Jessica-
Several large soldiers opened up her cell door as a dim light illuminated the room again. It had been a while since she had been in there, but she had enough. She sat where she was placed earlier, curled up into a ball, head buried in her legs. Dry tears lined her cheeks and her nose had stopped running for a short time and her body shook like a leaf in the winds of a hurricane. One soldier grabbed her by an arm and leg and stood her up. Jessica's weak legs shook violently from sadness and fear, and every step it seemed like she'd fall over. When her dull eyes looked into the hallway to see her brother and Lady Ivy her sadness only seemed to grow. Ideas and possible events flooded her mind. Death? Torture? What would happen to the three?
~Jazz and Jessica~
"Release us?" Jazz inwardly screamed in excitement, a wide grin on is face could show it all. Jessica's head quickly lifted up, wondering if she had misheard the man. Life sprang from her eyes again, a sparkle in both eyes.
"Fine upstanding citizens? You hear that boys, I'm a good guy." Jazz cocked his head back to the soldiers that escorted him. "Momma always told me that I was a good guy. Handsome too." He snickered, mocking the guards in a way. "So how about you let us go now and we'll call it even, kay?~"
Jessica only stood where she was, watching the soldiers and Jazz. Her eyes seemed to water a bit, but some of it was from her laughing. Jazz put her at ease again. Not only Jazz though, Ivy seemed to have some sort of aura around her, something calm, peaceful, or still, or maybe all three. The way she stood, walked, talked, looked, smiled, they just seemed to be perfect and almost holy.
The small group walked out into the streets, the cold night air chilled both siblings souls and relaxed their bodies. The night life was something they found much more fun to be in. The air was much more relaxing, people were having fun, and freedom seemed to be bustling around every corner. Jazz stretched, raising his arms to the sky, bending his body in different directions and his head back into different positions. His body cracked and popped like firecrackers.
We're still alive!~ Jessica squealed aloud. She was happy to be with her brother again, the two seemed like Yin and Yang, one could not be without the other. She jumped onto his back, hugging him as tight as she could, not even a crow bar could separate the two.
"Yeah, but honestly, I don't think we should. I think Lady Luck was on our side that time..." he thought to himself, not wanting to spoil the moment. Ivy walked down the street, away from the two, however. Jazz seemed discouraged for a moment, but as she was an important Idolentia figure as well as a Demi-god, it made some sense to him. When Ivy turned around asking if they had a place to stay, he stood there, silent for a moment. Jazz and Jessica sort of had a place, but not really, unless you count the floors of a poor office building a place to stay. Jazz rubbed his neck laughing at himself and his position. "Unfortunately, we don't right now. With Sylvanas capturing us, it sort of threw our plans out the window and our next job as well." The Gato from the day before stole his money too, though, he didn't think badly of the cat. He found it funny more than anything.
"Um... Do you still have your card Vaco gave each of us, Jessica?" The two siblings searched their pockets and anywhere else they might have have put the cards, but with no luck. Jazz turned his card in when Zack was with him, and Jessica must have dropped hers when having the brawl with Vaco. Um.... I don't think we do, Lady Ivy... the girl seemed embarrassed and bummed. Not only did they not have a place to stay, they didn't have any money for a hotel or shelter.
"If we may ask... Do you?..."
-Subject 217/The Conduit, Underground-
The Eden research center, one of the great laboratories dedicated to the field of void exploration, theories and experimentations. Such power, such mystery and such reverence, this strange source of magic, this substance from beyond was still largely unknown aside from its effects and how to implant it in the worthy.
Its representative building lay on the outskirts of the city, it was a low level structure whose actual research was far underground, out of sight, out of mind and prevented competitors from gaining access to valued knowledge easily. Hidden from view by trees the very ground was tainted by the energies granted by the void. Plants closest to the structure had become twisted, vile mockeries of themselves wept corrupt sap that seemed to evaporate rather than harden sending strange toxins into the air.
Of course scientists claimed that these plums were harmless as they evaporated so rapidly they never had the chance of reaching the city, statistically any faint traces that did enter the city showed that car emissions were more lethal than such a minor trace. The chances that a strong wind could blow these plums towards the city were so low you'd more likely have been struck by lightening.
The Eden research center had reassured the citizens that everything was perfectly safe, that the Undead Lords themselves trusted such a prestigious lab. Progression of the Parnex program was their prided field of research, here they were determine to find other ways of improving those brought back to serve the Empire, even in death they would evolve to suit their masters. Devices of both wonder and fear had been created here, some fused to a willing occupant with others were powered by something far sinister, these machines patrolled throughout the center constantly seeking out objects and beings out of place within their programing or training.
Cameras had been placed strategically both inside and outside, recording every moment in case there was a break through that ended in an untimely manner allowing for replications without the allocated scientist at the time.
Yet faR bElow the surface something eLse restEd within the structure, a lAboratory Section had bEen bUilt to Suit the potential knowledge that could be gleaned from such a twisted abomination.
It's prison was at the very heart of the underground network, it was able to fuel the research center with its raw energies, chains held it aloft in a large white tiled room. Trapped within a static field that continued to drain the energy it produced to void another escape attempt. For dozens of years it had been placed here to further the Parnex program or at least aid in the development of advancements, willingly or not.
Clad in a white suit, its hood had been firmly sealed around its face to ensure that none accidentally were driven mad during routine checks but even then it was able to find ways. The creature known as either Subject 217 or The Conduit constantly whispered madness through its echoing and resounding voice, all the while dark patches could be seen through the hood, dark markings that were able to portray their every moment of hatred towards their captors, against those who used them merely as a tool.
They would wait. Time was on their side. Eventually the scientists would make a fatal mistake and in that moment they would rejoice for their vengeance would finally be unleashed upon the empire that created them.
He hefted the bag tossing it in the air, he could feel the coins through the bag and gently groped the bag, feeling the coins move around his fingers. He loved this feeling. You can pick us up about... Chris pulled out an old fashioned gold pocket watch and cllicked it open. What date is it today Ashley Er....17th. Oh good, we'll want to be going now Frank, if that's possible. I suppose we could wait a day or two if you have something to do. Sleep, eat, say goodbye to loved ones. But if that can't be done, we would need to be told where this "port" is, or you could pick us up as you suggested. It would probably be easier and quicker that way. How would he pick us up? There's a helipad at the Firm. We don't have the firm anymore. Oh yeah...Kay, you tell us where to wait Frankie and we'll be there. Grinning and waving. Also, we'll be needing to get away so quickly that, if possible, we won't actually land. I'm thinking you fly through when they're transporting her, there's a string ladder brought down, I'm on it, pick her up as I swing past and we fly into the distance. He's not great with plans but we'll come up with something less suicidal, don't worry. So it that everything sorted out?
"Now works fine for me, I'd wanna get out of here soon anyhow. No one to say goodbye to and I had myself a bite in there." he jerked his thumb at the bar he just exited. He watched as the strange pair argued back and forth. They were characters, but he'd seen his fair share. "Suicidal plans are the best kind. I have a ladder, just give me the time and I'll be there. Just stay low until I'm right overheard or you'll get knocked over."
Lord-Commander Vaco Malen Blood.
Command Bridge of the Templar. Location: Classified.
Vaco sighed as he looked over the reports coming in. His hand reflexively reached out and begun to stroke his helmet that was lying on the holo-table. The Command Bridge was separate from the ship's normal bridge, this one was solely geared to directing the theater of war. It featured a large Holo-Table in the middle that allowed the Lord Commander and his twelve majors to observe and direct the action below, as well of actions in other parts of the Empire. The table was elevated on a elevated platform, below them was a series of techs and others who were trouble shooting ops, providing individual support, and directing affairs on the battlefeild.
"Reposition Companies C though E, to coordinates 89-C4. Pull A Company in full retreat to the Northern Hill to support the artillery, and Company B pull back slowly enough to keep the enemy forces on their tail. Funnel them into the Western pass." ordered Vaco into his headset. The images on the Holo-Table slowly began to move out according to his command.
He scanned the table, and turned to one of the majors. "Where is air support?" he calmly asked.
"My Lord, they've been delayed by hostile air forces. They were ambushed, the clouds provided a cover that our sensors couldn't see though. Two bombers and five fights have been destroyed during the ambush, a handful of others have received minor damage. A dogfight is being engaged with the rear guard.
Before Vaco could give further instruction, a message appeared on his eye piece of his headset. Noting the progress of events on Exalia.
He skimmed though it, and slumped his shoulders. Things weren't even close to what he planned, and his agents left behind had failed to progress his agenda on the planet that could have ended the fighting.
"My Lord, is something wrong?" asked on of the majors.
"Ivy... Exalia... you fools Why...." whispered Vaco to himself, ignoring the major. He knew what was coming next for the little planet, their hardships had only just begun.
Mysterious man.
Walking down the streets of Gia Planta.
A man slowly edged himself around the corner and begun to record with the small camera in his hand. He captured the events of Jazz and Jessica. Like wise, other spies and agents were secretly collecting information on every individual.
"Are You guys getting this?"
"Yes, We are reciving it. Stay in that position. direct your team to hold position." reported Black One. He turned to a full broadcast signal and their pirate station, and issued one word. "Hold".
-Subject 217/The Conduit, Underground-
Our existence is a plague upon this world. We cannot be asked to fulfill our duty, for our very presence causes the earth below us to repulse at our corruption.
Dark and faint whispers could be heard echoing throughout the white room, each whisper held a different voice, some longed for freedom while others only gibbered in madness as their sanity was no longer part of them. Release us The only other sound that came from the brightly lit room was the humming of the generator that powered a static field to prevent Subject 217 from escaping his confinements, while the chains held him aloft it was not a guarantee that they would prevent him from lashing out when the check up teams arrived to ensure he was healthy, fit for further experimentations but the last few weeks had been disastrous as two had to be taken to the medical facilities. Causes were still unknown and this scare had made the scientists nervous to continue for the moment until they could determine what had happened.
Our hatred shall know no end.
Inside the humming static field Subject 217 stirred for a moment as more whispered began what was left of his humanity slept somewhere deep in his tattered soul. No longer simply a man nor a soldier, 217 was now the host of dozens of souls the majority of which still remained insane due to the experience of having one's soul torn out and forcefully placed into another. His hands slowly clenched as more chaotic emotions began to fill the room.
Revenge. Freedom. Justice.
Yes....We shall have our justice.
Subject 217 relaxed again and hung limp once more as the whispers continued to run rampant.
{Gia Panta, Streets Near Holding Facility}
Gabriel couldn't help himself as he smirked wide under his helmet at overhearing what Jazz had asked his sister. Apparently, the good commander Vaco had given these young citizens some cards. It certainly seemed like a fun opportunity for the Undead general. It certainly seemed possible the man had felt a need to aid these former captives in some form.
I'll just keep this to myself for now...
Faus suddenly stomped forward after Jazz and Jessica too had walked far enough away to follow Ivy. A soldier was quickly behind each of the two, pulling their arms back to cuff their wrists together before moving to restrain their ankles as well. Faus strolled calmly forward, standing to the side, but partially between the siblings and Ivy. Several other soldiers were fixed into various positions, most aiming at Ivy, but some still watching Jazz and Jessica. Likely to fire on the two if Ivy attempted anything brave.
Faus stopped and folded his hands together behind his back. "As a matter of fact, she does have a place to stay... I'll personally see to it that her cell will be very suited to her needs..." A slight hint of boastful mocking was evident behind his deep voice. "Due to Commander Vaco's inability to properly arrest certain fugitives who had earlier assaulted military personnel, as well as committing various other crimes, you three were still not apprehended… But now, you are within public domain,” he brought a hand forward, tracing a plated finger through the air to draw an imaginary border line between the facility and the city zones. “And you are hereby under arrest for crimes against the Empire…”
The two soldiers began pulling Jazz and Jessica away from one another. One quickly snapped a heavy collar around Jazz’s neck. The inner plates began glowing green, radiating a mixture of specific heat and vibrations, gradually weakening the boy’s nervous system to a more docile and easily restrained state. He then leaned in close to Jazz, whispering about how the boy was likely to get dragged from his sister and never see her again. A wicked grin crossing the soldier’s lips under the thick visor of his helm hinted he was serious, but thoroughly enjoyed telling the boy.
~Jazz and Jessica~ Gia Panta~ Streets of Gia Panta~
“Hey hey hey, back off, Tubby!” Jazz was less than surprised to be cuffed again, when the soldiers pulled Jessica and Jazz back. Jazz groaned in irritation when Faus walked past the two, ignoring them. What should he have expected, though? A walk in the park was too good to be true since it was the Empire he was dealing with, and that wasn’t going to be easy to compete with, especially without a weapon.
“Hey, I’m telling you that they attacked us first, and that we were dragged along with Sylvanas.” Jazz wiggled his eye brow at Faus, smiling at him. “Besides, it doesn’t seem like your friend Vaco helped you much either.” Jazz shrugged his shoulders and looked the other way at his sister.
“I declare bull shit, this is stupid.” Jazz began walking back the way he came, but the soldier yanked him back violently. “Oh come on, Tubby. You have to admit that making an imaginary boarder line is pretty fucking lame.” Before he could say anything else, though, Jazz was pulled away from his sister and had gotten a collar placed on him. It was warm, and after several moments, he began to feel weak. “The collar again? Fuck, at least I feel relaxed now, sort of like having a message, except without your feet all over me, Tubby. You should try this out.”
Jazz slouched a bit, feeling a little tired from the collar on him. The soldier leaned over, whispering something into his ear. Something about how Jazz would never see his sister again, and the works. Jazz turned around and gave the soldier a hard look before finally saying, “My god, I didn’t realize how ugly you looked. It looks like Justin Beiber and Rosie O’ Donnell have a baby. Not the prettiest site, to say the least.” Jazz looked to Faus asking for a replacement soldier, or at least a hot girl.
Lady Ivy “Xantara” Swift ~ Gia Panta // Streets near High Command – Out of the frying pan and into the fire
Ivy was about to answer Jazz and Jessica’s question when the soldiers moved in, and the question was answered for her. Her eyes swept over the scene, noting the weapons pointed in hers and the siblings’ direction. Her heart sank. Even if she had wanted to escape, she realised trying anything while Jazz and Jessica were around was far too risky.
The Demi-Goddess sighed resignedly, her mouth twisted in disappointment.
“I had a bad feeling your unanticipated display of kindness would have a catch, Lord...Faus, isn’t it? I don’t believe we’ve had the...pleasure of being introduced.” she commented to the Undead Lord before her, her slender arms folded across her chest. “But it’s very nice of you to offer me accommodation. I’m sure it would be an honour.”
The elf girl smiled politely. Her demi-god eyes then flickered over to Jazz and Jessica, who were being separated from each other. She still marvelled at Jazz’s ability to personally cope with the situation, struggling for a moment to keep her amusement hidden. Ivy then looked back at Faus, her expression more serious.
“Don’t worry, I’ll try my very best to behave nicely,” she stated calmly. “But if anything happens to Jazz and Jessica, or if something happens that I don’t like...I’m afraid I can’t guarantee I’ll be quite so cooperative.” The demi goddess arched an eyebrow in Gabriel’s direction, her bright green eyes carefully warning him that she wouldn’t take kindly to being fucked around. She smiled again, just briefly. “Just thought I’d make that clear before we continue, my Lord.”
With that said, she silently waited to be directed (or escorted) to where she was meant to go.
