Jazz and Jessica~ Gia Panta~ Streets of the city~ "See? I told you I was a good citizen ma!"
~Jazz~
Soldiers came into Jazz's cell again. He was dumbfounded. He was already in his cell, why were they coming back in?
One soldier picked up Jazz by the arm, putting him on his feet. They proceeded to escort him (roughly) out of the cell. Though he didn't mind leaving the cell, he was still quite confused. He struggled some, expecting a prosecution for him or at the very least, torture. He flung around, trying to not move an inch.
"Hey hey, I bruise easily, don't be so rough! Are you rough like that with your dolls in bed? Would you like to carry me instead?"
~~~~~~~
-Jessica- Several large soldiers opened up her cell door as a dim light illuminated the room again. It had been a while since she had been in there, but she had enough. She sat where she was placed earlier, curled up into a ball, head buried in her legs. Dry tears lined her cheeks and her nose had stopped running for a short time and her body shook like a leaf in the winds of a hurricane. One soldier grabbed her by an arm and leg and stood her up. Jessica's weak legs shook violently from sadness and fear, and every step it seemed like she'd fall over. When her dull eyes looked into the hallway to see her brother and Lady Ivy her sadness only seemed to grow. Ideas and possible events flooded her mind. Death? Torture? What would happen to the three?
~Jazz and Jessica~
"Release us?" Jazz inwardly screamed in excitement, a wide grin on is face could show it all. Jessica's head quickly lifted up, wondering if she had misheard the man. Life sprang from her eyes again, a sparkle in both eyes.
"Fine upstanding citizens? You hear that boys, I'm a good guy." Jazz cocked his head back to the soldiers that escorted him. "Momma always told me that I was a good guy. Handsome too." He snickered, mocking the guards in a way. "So how about you let us go now and we'll call it even, kay?~"
Jessica only stood where she was, watching the soldiers and Jazz. Her eyes seemed to water a bit, but some of it was from her laughing. Jazz put her at ease again. Not only Jazz though, Ivy seemed to have some sort of aura around her, something calm, peaceful, or still, or maybe all three. The way she stood, walked, talked, looked, smiled, they just seemed to be perfect and almost holy.
The small group walked out into the streets, the cold night air chilled both siblings souls and relaxed their bodies. The night life was something they found much more fun to be in. The air was much more relaxing, people were having fun, and freedom seemed to be bustling around every corner. Jazz stretched, raising his arms to the sky, bending his body in different directions and his head back into different positions. His body cracked and popped like firecrackers.
We're still alive!~ Jessica squealed aloud. She was happy to be with her brother again, the two seemed like Yin and Yang, one could not be without the other. She jumped onto his back, hugging him as tight as she could, not even a crow bar could separate the two.
"Yeah, but honestly, I don't think we should. I think Lady Luck was on our side that time..." he thought to himself, not wanting to spoil the moment. Ivy walked down the street, away from the two, however. Jazz seemed discouraged for a moment, but as she was an important Idolentia figure as well as a Demi-god, it made some sense to him. When Ivy turned around asking if they had a place to stay, he stood there, silent for a moment. Jazz and Jessica sort of had a place, but not really, unless you count the floors of a poor office building a place to stay. Jazz rubbed his neck laughing at himself and his position. "Unfortunately, we don't right now. With Sylvanas capturing us, it sort of threw our plans out the window and our next job as well." The Gato from the day before stole his money too, though, he didn't think badly of the cat. He found it funny more than anything.
"Um... Do you still have your card Vaco gave each of us, Jessica?" The two siblings searched their pockets and anywhere else they might have have put the cards, but with no luck. Jazz turned his card in when Zack was with him, and Jessica must have dropped hers when having the brawl with Vaco. Um.... I don't think we do, Lady Ivy... the girl seemed embarrassed and bummed. Not only did they not have a place to stay, they didn't have any money for a hotel or shelter.
"If we may ask... Do you?..."
