Basic Information
-Name: Leb Sterlyn-Gender: Male
-Age: 28
-Appearance: Ugly. Leb is a deformed, hunchback dwarf with a left arm made for a gorilla. He slouches at 4 foot 6 inches, swaying long messy brown hair where ever he limps. Leb’s hair covers his lopsided eyes, and ends around the top of his bent nose. His left, pale blue eye is slightly lower than his right, milky eye, and his hump constantly forces Leb’s head down so he always must look up to see what is in front of him. The dwarf’s teeth are jagged and yellow, with one or two always showing due to his slight overbite and cleft lip. His face seems to carry a constant scowl, though somewhat hidden in his dark, shaggy beard.
Leb’s shoulders are unevenly broad, his left heavier than his right, causes his body to slant and carry a noticeable heavier degree of his hump. Although his lightly tanned right arm and hand are appropriate for his height, his darker left arm is freakish muscular. The arm swings its large fist only inches off the ground and occasionally will be used to walk, though this is only when his needs to go faster than his usual half hobble, half limp. The dwarf usually wears what looks like an extremely dirty, self modified, formerly white, oversized tunic. The bottom of the shirt is clearly cut off, though still hangs past Leb’s waist. His left sleeve fits perfectly, but his right sleeve is completely oversized. Around his left wrist, Leb wears a heavy, clay bracer of elegant design. If anyone looks closely long enough, one would notice the bracer’s design constantly ripples, though retains it’s overall depiction of a phoenix, at full wing span. Leb’s legs, though stunted, are even and covered by a pair of short sack pants, held up by rope belt. His feet are generally filthy black, since he refuses to wear shoes. Leb’s body, though deformed, is extremely muscular and covered with scars. It’s Leb’s wide left hand that is completely covered with more scars and calluses, giving it an almost rock like texture. His body is almost always unwashed and covered in dirt, with bits of food in his beard from previous meals.
Leb’s tattoo is on his back, hidden beneath his mess of hair, where the hump meets his neck.
Personal Information
-Personality:Blunt as a rock and understands he’s just as pretty, Leb has no cares for manners, etiquette or gentle words. The polite way to describe Leb’s attitude is, “honest”, “insightful” and “direct.” He’d just say he’s crude, a critic and angry. He does himself no mercy in describing his own appearance, knowing it scares most. Despite joining a guild, Leb doesn’t seem fond of people, and especially hates those who lie through their teeth when conversing.
“Say what you honestly think and don’t cut around the topic. You’re just wasting my time, you idiot, and proving you’re a bad liar.” Curses and scowls come far easier than smiles to Leb’s face, though he does enjoy getting on the nerves of the easily distraught. Leb will belch, scratch, yawn and leave whenever he damn well feels like it, so you better get used to it! And if you don't? Well, Leb has amassed a rather long list of terms and descriptions for people like you, and he so does love to loudly share them. There is no concept too off color, disturbing or morally wrong that Leb won't say, if he thinks it's worth making you turn. He is cruel, sadistic and lives to corrupt. At least, in public.
In private, where the dwarf can find some peace and quiet, you’ll probably see him in a nice cozy corner, crafting or reading. When completely alone, Leb rests his heavy left arm on something level to his shoulder, and plays his harp. Despite his oversized left hand, Leb plays with both hands quite well, often closing his eyes to enjoy it completely. If he can, he’ll try and play outside, near the base of an old tree, hopefully oak, and be there for hours.
There are two things Leb will never do willingly. 1. Take his feet off solid ground. 2. Touch sharp, cold, steel. This makes it difficult for Leb to ever get on a boat, swim or cook, since most cooking utensils are metal. Even coins cause him to shiver, though he will bare through the blunt of that. Leb doesn’t mind eating things raw with his hands, and it would seem his stomach has adapted to it, though he will not mind cooked food that someone else has made. Other than that, he can drink his worth and then some, and enjoys to outdo those taller than him.

Brief History:
~Seedy inn in Erevin~
Nat strung his lute before the small crowd in the inn, contemplating what tune to play. The innkeeper told him if he could entertain, he’d have food and a hay cot for the night, so better make it a good one. Besides the gawkers in the group looked like they were warming up their lungs. It came to him easily enough.
“What do you all say,” begun the bard, “To the story of my friend? Leb the Freak?”
Most ignored him, a couple shouted they didn’t know it.
“Oh, it’s quite an interesting tale, especially if you’ve met the foul mouthed, deformed man, though you’ll always hate the smell.”
A few more started to turn their heads to face Nate. He might as well start.
“Let me first tell you the Leb was born like any other. He had a mother, a father that left before he came and came like any other child to our fair Enrein. However, that is when the boy stops the normality. Leb was born a monster, coming weeks earlier than they would wish, and far stranger than any they had delivered. His freakish form would plague him to this very day, though I’m getting ahead of myself.”
Nat strung a chord, then plucked at his strings, “Leb was born into a traveling circus, probably the most fortunate coincidence. His mother was a juggler, who loved to laugh, but knew Leb could not play with other children, for how he looked. She let him play out in the forest, whenever they were away from towns, until the boy was four and stumbled upon a band of highway men.”
“The result was quick, the mother tried to protect her loved one, covered him, and had a sword plunged into her back, getting stuck in her and, though it still went into the boy. The robbers left them for dead, until other members of the circus, little over and hour later, finally found the impaled pair. The mother had bled out over her son, but her body had saved Leb, giving him only a shallow scar and a hatred for steel.”
Nat now had the room’s undivided attention. “After than, Leb carried on living, but found only his mother saw past his mutation. He became the sideshow of the circus, “Leb the Freak” they called him, where the circus sold the crowd rotten food to throw at him as he awkwardly juggled with his miss matched body. It was there I knew the dwarf, pitied him, and he hated me for it.”
“But show business cannot last forever. As Leb turned 14, the circus leader fled with all the earnings, leaving myself, and Leb, to fend for ourselves. We parted, but I have heard many a tale of my old friend.”
“He has been lynched, ridiculed, hunted, blamed, hated, betrayed, starved and left to die. One tale I heard he crushed a man’s head with his bare hands. Another, he had been accidentally saved by raiders who attacked a village that planned to burn the dwarf. Around his 19th year, I heard no more of him, and thought him dead. It was until last year, his 27th, I heard a mutated little earth mage had emerged, joining outcast guilds and others of dark description. Apparently, the years he had vanished, he had learnt magic from a master, or some say from demons. All I know now is this. After participating in the attacks against the proud, but vulnerable, guild “Infinite Serenade”, he left his dark guild to join the reformed vanquished! I cannot say why he did this, especially since I know him to hate the glamour of Reis and her people, but I'd like to believe this. Leb has been searching for a guild, no, a way of life against all that which he hated. He did not find it as he thought he would amongst outcasts. However, what he saw in his fights against Infinite Serenade changed him. That even though they were outclassed, beaten down, and destroyed, they still stand back up. Perhaps that is something that Leb finds worth fighting for.”
-Ability: Earthcraft – so long as there is enough earth/stone/sand in Leb’s immediate area, he will dive his fist into the ground, seem to scoop up a mass of earth, and move/harden it into shapes of his imagination. The larger or more elaborate the construction is, the longer it takes to mould. If Leb holds concentration and contact with his creation, he can animate it, making the very earth itself his weapon. His most popular form, or rather flashiest, is within a minute creating a 15 foot tall earthen giant, with himself held in a protective rock shell in the centre of it. The earth colossus may be plain, but Leb can harden or soften the earth, giving the giant both its mobility and destructive crushing power. However, Leb rarely likes to use this, despite it being one of his most well known techniques. Instead, he prefers more subtle uses, such as mimicing people (takes hours to make a near perfect copy, but it is extremely convincing when not touched) or small tools. In fact, the bracer he keeps on his arm seems to be his molding material, constantly using it to become keys, tools and even birds (he has embedded a piece of his soul into that bracer). While Leb's fist is in the ground, he can still form earth around him, into barriers, fire out as quickly formed projectiles or even to bury his entire body.
