Name – Vincent Cowl
Age - 18
Height – 6”5
Appearance – In his
armour he’s an imposing teen, ready to battle his foe with steel or flame. The times he is without his armour you’ll find that Vincent is a well build human after starting to wear weighted gear at an early age as per the traditions of his order. His physical appearance is matched by his piercing blue eyes and short sandy colored hair.
Across the breastplate and written on the decorative iron cross lie the words Courage, Duty, Faith and Honour. The key words to the orders creed; Unshakeable
courage take thee so thou canst walk the darkest path, a great
duty has been place upon thy shoulders for among us the demonic hide,
Faith is instilled within thee so thou canst combat heavens greatest foe and thy
honour shall hold thee to thy vow until the end of days.
Personality – Initially Vincent appears to be ever cautious, ever suspicious, and ever serious. Vincent is not the world’s most trusting teen due to his upbringing and his stiff sense of duty. He possess a dry sense of humour, able to joke with a deadpan face and tone, revealing inwardly that he’s not all that grim.
Background story – Born into the Order of the Lion (Also referred to the Lion Cult) Vincent has always been told his duty is to hunt the corrupt, the demonic and their cohorts, to determine if they should be allowed to continue life’s trials or be vanquished if the priest judges them unworthy.
His order has been fighting an uphill battle due to the modernization of the world, after all guns added a new dimension to the battle but their armour was effectively made redundant when facing other humans. Arguments raged as the council was forced to alter the doctrine in an attempt to assimilate this new technology but thus far has had little success.
Vincent’s main reason for going to the Highschool is the get a deeper understanding of the gods as the majority his order has lost their favour with his or her god for an unknown reason. Vincent suspects that they’ve neglected their pacts/prayers due to a growing battle lust that has taken the order (The Grandmaster among them.) There for his mentor has sent him to the school to avoid
contamination and to allow him some contact with outsiders.
Type – Warrior Priest
There are those who still cling to the old ways, those whom sole purpose is to hunt the corrupt and the fallen. They who prey on the weak and deceive the innocent, shalt fear these righteous warriors whom crest is blessed by the gods, for these warriors shall smit the wicked with both steel and vengeful light.
Clad in great armour and capes of crimson red, they march across the plains of the damned to combat mankind’s darkest foe. Warrior priests are priests who choose to fight under a code of arms forgoing robes for armour, speed for endurance and sanctuary for endless warfare. They are melee fighters who specialize in banishments and incantations that enhance one’s abilities by calling upon gods.
Weapons –
Flanged mace (one handed) and a two handed warhammer (refer to appearance image)
Trinkets – Grimoire of the Faithful: A book that holds incantations to banish, exorcise or purge the enemies of the order, however until Vincent has a better understanding of the gods and makes the proper pacts most pages are completely unreadable.
Worship:
Vincent ironically is not sure who he worships, his religous teachings have become increasingly vague with every passing year. He does however suspect he worships either Pyarados or Kossuth, he narrowed it down due to the fact he does not ask for shadows or stealth.
