I think personally it's an essential skill. If not a Namco 3d fighter, at least a 2d fighting game like Guilty Gear.

Usually I play as Anji, because his playing style suits me the best, and because he distracts female players and irritates male players. Also he has glasses. XD

In SC2, I usually play as Nightmare, but the problem is that when I play the computer in the arcade, I show no mercy, and I just get usually one perfect round per fight. Even if it's against the computer, and not an accurate judgement of skill, other people are still afraid to play me. I can sense them hovering around the machine, but never walk up to challenge me.

He might be talking about Yun Sung. Ouch, he's a very weak character. He doesn't have damage or speed.

Yun Sung is the one. Jeremy uses Raphie, and Adriel uses Kilik. But hey, at least Yun Sung yells "Jack Chow!!!!". It's hilarious. But all you need to do is have skill. Or just know how to block and do that perfect guard thingy.

He's a relatively weak character. But although you have a Kilik player in your midst, at least he doesn't play Necrid or Xianghua. They're the worst.
SC2 is fun, but it has some balance issues. Then again, every fighter has them. Most people say Nightmare is bottom tier. Of course, he does well in tournaments around the country, so even if he is a weak character like they seem to think, that doesn't mean that people don't dominate with him all over the US. Personally I prefer him because he has incredible power, reach, is somewhat fast for a guy as strong as him, and can just throw, since he has good reach, in any situation where he can't escape a close range fighter.
Plus it's fun changing him to look like Sigfried and then using the Requiem sword on my PS2 version.

ugh.... Adriel used to play as Necrid, and Jeremy as Xianghua. But I can own pretty much anyone now, except for RJ. He's become really good. But yeah. They aren't as annoying as they used to be. Plus, arrows own. So does Illusion Stab.

I usually play as Talim. Dunno, I'm just used to smaller and faster characters. Besides, the twin crescent blades are yummy.^.^

I play Bridget on GGX2
I think it's the shock factor that gets them the most XD
Cause usually, I face people... rather... casual. Now, it'd be a pretty even match most of the time, then I'd mention, "Hey, ya think Bridget is cute at all?"
Usually, said person isn't "in the know" and I tell them to truth, while they're stunned I whip out a IK XD
It works, once Then I'm practically doomed. Though I've learned to use Roger effectively Just need to be able to use Roger Hug with more consistancy. Then I can move on to more... advanced things XD

When I play Guilty Gear, we always decide that we don't do IK. It's cheap-ass, and there's really no point in games if you just pull IK. Though some of them are funny to watch. And no, Bridget is NOT cute. At all. Even IF he was a girl. No way. Oh yeah, and I play as the Russuan bodyguard with the freaky hair. Milia Rage. Oh yeah.

IKs are really useless. You have to go into IK mode, which is a dead giveaway, and when blocked, you loose your tension bar completely, which means you can't RC, you can't use Faultless defense, a Dead Angle Attack, or Overdrives.

Bleah. I'd rather go with the Angel move thing that Milia has. Winger, or something like that. Emerald Rain does quite a bit of damage, and is easier to hit with, but it doesn't look cool enough.
