Er...I hadn't thought of that.
I'll have to check it over, but I don't think there is anything in the posts based in England that specifically say what time of the day it is - so it could be tweaked to say that it's approaching evening in England too. But I'll have to check. I don't think you'll need to change your post, though.

Well, he doesn't act like his mother... at least not all the time, I wonder if The Doctor realizes that before they meet. I hope not. :)

Unless he drops some obvious hints, I doubt the Doctor will notice. :) That's one of the things that I like about the tenth Doctor - sometimes he is so oblivious/clueless to human behaviour it's laughable.

...EDIT Oh MQuinny you cheeky devil.

Ok, sure no problem.

Not sure whats happened to Crystal though. She told me she would be gone until Sunday, but Sunday's been and gone and there's no sign of her. I might have to send her a reminder.

---> And sent her a reminder.
I'll give it til tomorrow and then we'll move on.

@Sam: Haha…if Mini’s unimpressed with Captain Jack, she is going to hate Owen Harper’s guts!

@Archrival: Martha’s spotted you…

NPCs – The Torchwood Team
(You might notice their CS’s differ slightly from the standard CS for this RP)

Name: PC Gwen Cooper ~ [Video: “Meet Gwen”]
Age: 31
Gender: Female
Species/Race: Human
Torchwood Position/Rank : Second-in-Command (and temporary commander in Captain Jack’s absence)
Torchwood’s Police liaison
Appearance: IMAGE
Personality: Compassionate and gentle, but also strong-willed and a fierce fighter. Very friendly, but if you happen to get in her bad books, oh boy
Has a very curious nature too. It was her absolute determination and curiosity which led to her joining the team. Not to mention as an everyday police officer, Gwen sees things from a different perspective to the rest of her team…she is very conscious of morals and ethics, down-to-earth and knows what it’s like as an ‘ordinary’, everyday citizen.
Faults/Weakness: Tends to be nosy and stubborn. Refuses to let something go even when the rest of her team tell her to leave it...for better or worse. She’s gone against Jack’s orders quite a few times in the past.

Background: A few years ago, Gwen Cooper was a regular PC for Cardiff Police, living in a flat with her long term boyfriend Rhys, when she witnessed Torchwood bringing a serial killer’s murder victim back to life for questioning with a Resurrection Glove. After hunting Torchwood down, getting ‘Retconned’ by them and still being stubborn enough to recover her memories of what happened, she incidentally solved the serial murder cases for them in the process. Noticing her potential and valuing her empathetic nature, Captain Jack offered her a place on the team. She replaced former Torchwood member Suzie Costello, and has been working for Torchwood ever since. She and Rhys are now married – Rhys is one of the few people outside of Torchwood who knows everything about them, since Gwen refused to Retcon him when he finally found out Gwen’s secret day job...
Gwen met the Doctor when Torchwood sent out an SOS call to the Doctor in the episode ‘Journey’s end’. They only met over the Subwave Network, however, and have yet to meet properly in person.

*Theme: Gwen & Rhys
>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>
Name: Dr Owen Harper MD ~ [Video: “Meet Owen”]
Age: 29
Gender: Male
Species/Race: Human
Torchwood Position/Rank : Torchwood Officer 565. Torchwood’s Doctor and medical expert. Specialises in dissection duties (both human and alien).
Appearance: IMAGE
Personality: A ‘love him or hate him’ kind of personality, Owen is a bit of a ‘Jack-the-lad’ who isn’t afraid to say exactly what he thinks. Sarcasm, moodiness, blunt observations, sexist remarks, casual sex and dry humour are abundant when dealing with Owen. But he’s not a jerk intentionally…(no, really, he can be sensitive when he tries...which admittedly isn’t very often.)
Faults/Weakness: Aside from the obvious fault of acting like an insensitive, impolite jerk? Often too cocky for his own good, not to mention his cocky demeanour is really just a big front…Owen is a lot more insecure and vulnerable than he lets on. Traumatic events and losing loved ones can damage him, turning him reckless, dangerous and even suicidal, if he’s pushed hard enough.

Background: In his early twenties and already a doctor, Owen was engaged to Katie Russell, who unknown to both them had an alien parasite in her brain. Though Owen did not understand this, both knew that she had a degenerative neurological condition. Before Jack Harkness arrived on the scene, the alien inside had killed the surgical team which had removed the top of her skull in surgery. Jack Harkness appeared, explained and left the scene with Katie's body, then, after which time Owen had told a disbelieved story about aliens, re-appeared and offered him a job with Torchwood Three. Owen reluctantly accepted.
Owen is the only member of the team who hasn’t (in some way), met The Doctor.

Certain events in Torchwood Series 2 have not taken place in this RP/have been altered slightly and in some ways majorly.

*Theme:Owen’s Theme
>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>
Name: Toshiko ‘Tosh’ Sato ~ [Video: “Meet Toshiko”]
Age: 28
Gender: Female
Species/Race: Human
Torchwood Position/Rank : Torchwood’s Technical expert and computer genius.
Appearance: IMAGE
Personality: Quiet and shy, but highly intelligent (not to mention geeky), Toshiko also has a huge crush on Owen…not that he notices one bit…
Faults/Weakness: Toshiko tends to be a bit too trusting of others, always seeing the good in people (heck, she’s still head over heels for Owen despite the fact that he’s a jerk to her) – which is sometimes a good quality to have…except that she doesn’t always notice the bad. And the times she does notice the bad, she gets hurt by it very easily. Also susceptible to Blackmail.
Background: Around 2003/2005, Tosh worked at the Lodmoor Research Facility, run by the British Ministry of Defence. Blackmailed, with her mother's life in jeopardy, Tosh stole the plans to make a sonic modulator and successfully built one, even though the plans really shouldn't have worked. She was arrested by UNIT and held indefinitely without trial, and then saved by Jack Harkness. He complimented her on making a functional design of the schematics available to her, and offered her a job with Torchwood as an alternative to spending the rest of her life as a prisoner in a UNIT holding cell.
Toshiko met the Ninth Doctor while examining an "alien pilot" in the mortuary at Albion Hospital, where she was covering for teammate Owen Harper, who was supposed to carry out the autopsy but was suffering from a serious hangover. However, funnily enough, never of them knew who the other one really was – the Doctor not even introducing himself, and Torchwood member Toshiko going by the cover name of ‘Dr Sato’.

Certain events in Torchwood Series 2 have not taken place in this RP/have been altered slightly and in some ways majorly.

*Theme: Toshiko Sato, Betrayal and Redemption
>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>
Name: Ianto Jones ~ [Video: “Meet Ianto”]
Age: 26
Gender: Male
Species/Race: Human
Torchwood Position/Rank : Torchwood’s Administrator, Personal Assistant and Guide. Also makes the coffee. (Nicknamed ‘Coffee Boy’ by Owen)
Appearance: IMAGE
Personality: Quiet and always polite, Ianto has a real ‘butler’ quality to him. Keeping professional, he stays quiet and in the background, doing his job with little fuss. However when the members of the team need him, he is always there as the ‘voice of reason’ in most situations. Easy to talk to and get along with, Ianto is what you could easily describe as ‘a nice guy’, a gentleman, and a sweet-natured soul. He’s generally calm, level-headed and patient, rarely loosing his cool in a difficult situation. But he can fight just as well as any other member of the team…
Faults/Weakness: ] It’s always the quiet ones you have to watch. Although Ianto seems warm, friendly and quiet, like Captain Jack, he is no stranger to hiding huge secrets from the rest of his team. His love and caring personality also sometimes goes against his better judgement, and he has made some very grave errors in the past.
Background: Formerly a Junior Researcher at Torchwood 1 in London, and one of the 27 torchwood personnel who witnessed ‘The Battle of Canary Wharf’ and lived to tell the tale. He also rescued his girlfriend, Lisa, from a cyber conversion unit during the battle, hiding her and keeping her secret in the hopes of one day being able to ‘unconvert’ her, and make her fully human again. However, it just wasn’t to be…
He joined Torchwood after practically begging Jack to let him on the team. Captain Jack was reluctant, but as Ianto continued to pester him, he eventually gave in…even growing to love and appreciate Ianto being on the team. It wasn’t long before the two developed feelings for each other. They tend to keep their relationship private; however anyone observing them for long enough can see that they’re an item...the rest of the team is certainly aware of Jack and Ianto’s relationship.
Despite both of them being involved in the Battle of Canary Wharf (‘Doomsday’), the Doctor and Ianto didn’t meet until Torchwood sent out an SOS call to the Doctor in the episode ‘Journey’s end’. They’ve only met over the Subwave Network, and have yet to meet in person.

*Theme: Ballad of Ianto Jones

That’s the last of the ‘good guy’ NPC’s I’m going to introduce…for now.

MQuinny, Archrival and Mastermind, you still need to post your response to the Doctor/Captain Jack. :)

@Crystal: Thanks for letting me know – I was just about to put the next post up!

Massive long post, but I wanted to get moving through this stage a bit quicker. That way we can get to the interesting part!
If you can’t think of anymore questions/things to say, just tell Jack that. Oh, and it would be really helpful if you could describe what your character is up to/where they are in your post (I know some of you are already doing that – so yeah, just keep doing that :) )

And same goes for people who are about to get a plane - don't board the plane just yet...
