Species
Human
You're human yourself so figure it out.

Zombie
Infected, mutants, bio-weapons, etc. caused by the virus.
Name: What they commonly call you or your name when your still human.
Gender: If you're a male/female back then you'll still be categorized as that gender
not unless there's a gender related mutation that is.
Occupation: You can post their pre-infection job or their purpose if it's a bio-weapon.
Skills/Abilities/traits:
  • You will always have a stinger tongue for spreading the virus which can only infect the living.
  • Regardless of what kind of zombie you are, you'll always have an insatiable urge to eat meat.
  • All zombies in this RP have the ability to mutate after they've devoured enough flesh.
  • Your main character will be an intelligent zombie by default.
Appearance: By default you have a slightly altered appearance (glowing eyes, pale skin, your choice.)
Starting point: Any place where humanity lives or is habitable by life since you can mutate to adapt.
I recommend that you start near most participants since RPing alone isn't really fun.
Starting Gear: Your gear when you were still human or special gear installed on you if you're a bio-weapon.
Also your "natural" biological gear like claws, spikes, etc. goes to Skills/Abilities/traits
NPC:
  • If you're a pack leader then you'll be accompanied by your pack anywhere you go unless you command them to stay put.
  • Only those who you've infected can be become your NPC.
  • Mutation can also make it possible for your character to spawn their own minion.
  • Like the mutation's condition, you need to gather biomass to reproduce a minion.
  • Minions are initially weak but can grow and become stronger with time (aka growing up).
  • Also they can inherit some of their parent's abilities/traits from birth then mutate new traits.

Robot
Machines with a mind of their own.
Name: Your model number/name or nickname will do.
Gender: None by default unless made specifically to look/function like either gender.
Occupation: Chosen occupation and/or a predetermined purpose.
Skills/Abilities/traits:
  • Built-in functions/features and notable performance stats like fast, strong, or intelligent in a certain area.
  • You can just download data rather than experiencing/learning it first hand.
  • Your character has a learning function by default which means that you will not be limited to following built-in programming.
  • You don't need a com. It's literally a part of you.
  • First aid kits won't work on you but maintenance kits will.
  • Water is your worst enemy by default unless your model is waterproof.
  • You're susceptible to hacking unless there's a feature that stop this.
  • If you have such a feature then you can hack as well.
  • Emotion is an optional feature.
  • You don't feel pain by default unless you have a feature to feel
Starting point: Anywhere a machine can function in usually where humanity lives.
Starting Gear: Non-built-in hardware/software, upgrades, add-ons, even clothing, etc.
NPC:
  • Since you have an advanced A.I. system, you can convince humans to join your side just like they can.
    Unless they're technophobes and/or that you were not designed for such a task then it would be difficult.
  • You maybe partnered with your owner/s. Friends if any.
  • If you're a master unit of some sort then you might have a group of other machines following you.
    Either fellow independent minded robots, non-independent, or remote controlled ones.
  • You can manufacture your own minions given that you have the parts to build one
    or if you even know how to build a specific model or invent your own depends on your stored data.

Cyborg
Half human. Half machine. Anyone that is using a bionic limb/s and/or organs.
Traits similar mostly to human with some robot traits.

Master A.I.
Self-aware computers.
Traits similar to robot.
Uses an entire facility to manufacture and/or command minions to do the job for them.
Immobile.

Plantoids
Just like the zombies only in plant form.
Might be a bio-weapon of some scientist or an organization.
Collective minded and mostly immobile.

Psychic
Humans that gained psychic abilities from birth.
Can manipulate objects using only their minds.
6th sense is enhanced making them highly alert.
Human traits are unchanged.

Bestiary
Here's a list of NPCs that anyone can control.
These are those "common enemies" you'll encounter in the RP.
Spaceballs wrote:Legion: A swarm of mutated carrion beetles whose DNA has been spliced with reptilian genes (giving them a multi-limbed exoskeleton lizard look) along with that of the virus. Designed by "New Eden", they are about a foot in length and specifically feed on zombified life forms. Moving in swarms and hive minded, they devour the flesh of the living dead.

Gaia: A massive plantoid inhabiting the underground of a desolate city, its main body resembles a giant pitcher plant in which the flesh of its prey are dissolved. Miles across, it has formed what can be considered "pitfalls" on the surface which have thin layers of biomass over them, and when something walks over them they fall through and eventually land in the underground. The scent of flesh wafts from its central bulb, enticing the undead to their doom as they fall into its digestive enzymes in a futile effort to feed.

Blob/Meatbag: a shapeless monster that is made up of several bodies. It uses several strange forms of catching prey like tentacles and/or luring victims using their loved one's vocal cords. This form usually occurs when a body of infected is stacked up assuming that all of them were dead and is about to be cremated. Like the rest, no 2 blobs are alike. It's what most people call a "cocoon" because after a long while it hardens into a chrysalis.

Monster: The final stage of the infected's evolution. It now has a definite form and anatomy. It's intelligence has now increase to that of a great ape or a predator. Hard to tell or judge a specific scale since there are different forms that have been reported and each one has varying traits. They mutate rarely usually when they moved to a new environment. They'll almost always turn back into a blob when enough damage is dealt.

Preggers/Spawn mother: A variant of the mutation with the ability to give birth to new generations of infected. Usually happens on female mutants/monsters but some have reported that even males have mutated like this as well. The more dedicated their mutation is to reproduction the more slower they get even to the point of immobility. Note that most preggers don't require a mate to reproduce.

Pregger spawns/Spawns: The resulting spawns usually have some if not all of the mother's traits. They usually look like babies (depending on the severity of the mutation of the mother) and is as ferocious as a wild animal. They usually are very loyal to their parent and will even sacrifice themselves to protect them. They grow much faster than any other known animal as long as they are provided with enough nutrition. If they're not fed for a while during their early stages then they will die eventually like the zombie.

While the virus rapidly degenerates in the presence of oxygen, it is constantly produced, causing a black "smoke" to enshroud this breed of undead.

Vampires: Named after the infamous undead of legend, this breed of undead is a recently appearing menace in the wastelands of what was once human society. Almost resembling gaunt skeletons with pale white skin, their eyes are completely bloodshot, giving them a red appearance. More intelligent than their brethren, they have an insatiable lust for fresh uninfected blood. Stealthily sneaking between the ruins of our desolate society, they are rarely seen and appear to be badly burned by sunlight due to lack of pigmentation. When they manage to capture their prey, they will dig their sharp teeth into its neck and drink the blood from the wound. Meanwhile its tongue digs into their flesh, releasing more blood while also infected the prey at the same time.

Ghoul: Encountered more along the outskirts of cities and towns, ghouls are a breed that feeds exclusively on dead flesh, yet are extremely violent and will tear apart anything that stumbles upon them.

Occupation: Doctor

Skills/Abilities/traits: Has ability to see the future, but cannot predict anyone's future but her own. She can only see others futures if they are with her in the present. Skilled with first aid type jobs due to her background as a doctor. Very cheerful, but serious when the time calls for it. Her right leg sometimes gives out due to an injury while escaping from a hospital and jumping out the 3rd story window. Loves Japanese food and cute things, such as an onigiri plush that sits in the back of her car.

Appearance: Medium length blonde hair that falls just below her shoulders, blue eyes. A splash of light freckles across her nose that roungs slightly at the bridge. An average build, standing at 5'6, and weighing at 115 lbs. Not very athletic but is able to run when she needs to. She is 23 years old.

Starting point: Mall in the Security Room.

Starting Gear: Jeans, forest green tank top with a leather vest over top. A gun holster straddled over her jeans with a pistol in it. A blue 2009 camaro ss with an onigiri plush in the back seat.

NPC/s (Optional): Maria Furude

Background: Adopted at the age of 3, she has no knowledge of her parents or her origin. Her psychic abilities appeared during puberty, and managed to get herself out of conflicts with other students before they arose. She went onto college without anyone knowing of her abilities except her close friend Maria, she went on and studied to become a doctor. When she graduated she was at the top of her class. Even though she did cheat thanks to her ability, she is very bright. Within two years she became a respected resident doctor until the hospital was raided by zombies during the outbreak of the virus, only she survived the attack by jumping out a 3rd story window. Now she drives around the continent in her camaro stolen from a deserted dealer, and helps stranded and/or endangered survivors.

Background: Close friends with Rika since highschool, she was the only one who knew of Rika's ability and did not judge her for it. A college art major, she presumably died in a zombie raid a year ago.

Annalyn is currently looking for aforementioned sister.

Background: After years of doing part time job at the repair shop, Johnathan has finally collected enough money to buy a robot companion of his own: A Jinn-09 model. But unfortunately by the time he had finished transaction with the store clerk, the mall went into a blackout. Panic can be heard across the mall. By the time the electricity went back on, the mall has become almost empty. The store clerk was nowhere in site. Fearing that the horde had reached the city, he opened one of the Jinn-09 boxes using his metal ruler and awoken the machine within.

Background: Jinn-09 is an older model of the Jinn series of service robots. Unlike the other models, it only featured the basics built-ins that the series was known for. It has a modular chassis that can be equipped with various external add-ons and upgrades. It was fairly cheap compared to the other models.

Skills/Abilities/traits: Is semi-self repairing. Can recover from small cuts/scrapes/bruises easily and can survive for hours longer than a human suffering a critical injury; can can usually be fully repaired if a station can be found. Has a mechanical memory; which has some capacity to record audio/visual. Data can be corrupted/lost/stolen from this memory; so I don't keep my important secrets in there. Very smart; created a number of the zombie viral strains. Paranoid; crazy; and psychotic. Not necessarily cruel but finds disarray much more interesting than calm. Really likes to sleep. Easily alarmed; flightly and panicky; has difficulty focusing and tends to wander off.
Appearance: Basically like my avatar, plus lab coat.
Starting point: Fleeing towards the mall being chased by own experiments.
Starting Gear: Lab coat, hat, and morphine and metal baseball bat.
Background: As a scientist; PCHK was bounced around for funding a lot. Eventually; she got her own lab and began developing and experimenting with zombies and the psychic monks and created horrible hybrids that drove her crazy. She hasn't been right in the head ever since and has been working on dozens of virus-related projects and has information on just about every strain of every monster ever. She's extremely flightly and doesn't pay attention to much except her research.

Gender: Male.

Species: Human

Occupation: Ex-Marine Master Sargent. Current job as a small county's Sheriff and a part time lumberjack. After the outbreak he still retained these jobs (although slightly different), as the town reorganized itself into a city state.

Skills/Abilities/traits: Extensive Combat Training, can use nearly all forms of weapons, with the exception of swords. Can drive anything, but planes. Former Marine, think about it. Has limited knowledge of computers, biology, and chemistry. Doesn't like English work, or whining. Enjoys the color black and music ranging from heavy metal to classic rock.

Appearance: Short brown hair that is peppered with gray, sharp blue eyes, and some scares on his face from a IED in Iraq. Tall, about 6 foot 1 inches, keeps himself in shape due to job requirements and as a habit.
Age: 42.

Starting point: Outside of the Mall.

Starting Gear: 1995 Ford F-150 four door, short box. Bright Red with a metallic flake in it. Has Grill guard and flood light attachments. Wearing Sheriff uniform with a Punisher skull patch on the right bicep. Has a 9mm pistol with him, but has a G36c, shotgun, and a 44 Magnum in his truck. Has some other stuff in his truck as well, such as a GPS, iPod, first aid kit, etc.

NPC/s (Optional): Deputy 1. (Maybe some Marine soldiers will know him.). Various citizens of Tetonia.

Background: John is a veteran of Operation Iraqi Freedom and many other battles. He has severed in both Iraq, Afghanistan, and other hot spots through out the world. During Operation Iraqi Freedom, he earned himself the nick-name as "The Punisher" (and carried it with him for the rest of his life). During a push northward to Baghdad, his company came under-attack from a enemy sleeper cell in a small town. It was there where he witnessed his father, brother, best friend since grade school die, with most of his company. In a fit of anger, he grabbed a his M4 assault rifle and killed most of the enemy combatants in the area, receiving multiple wounds. He was indeed honored for his heroism being promoted to Lance Corporal and awarded multiple medals, but many doubt that decision. He continued his duty till the war ended.

It was noted by survivors that he went into a blood lust during the fight. There are some accounts that say he used a wounded enemy as a body shield. Much of the report is shadowed by his superior officers.

After the first war, he returned back to the states as a shattered man, and turned to alcohol as a means of comfort, becoming a violent man. However, somewhere along the lines he turned away from this path and moved to the Rocky Mountain Range, and become an instructor at a military base. It is unknown what caused this shift. Teaching all from National Guard members, state law enforcement, and Marine sharpshooters.

Eventually he was called back into duty, where he lead teams into Afghanistan, Iraq, and a few other hot areas. He ranked dozens of confirmed kills, and become once again, the most feared man on the battle field. After a year of being a Master Sargent, John was tragically wounded by a IED triggered by a RPG explosion outside of Baghdad, while rescuing a fellow Marine. He was returned back to the states where he underwent corrective surgery, which repaired much of his body, but did not rid his face of the shrapnel scaring.

He continued to serve for several more years as a trooper, black ops annalist, and trainer, but eventual retired and left the Marine Corps. He become sheriff of a small town in the Northern Rockies. Teaching firearm safety classes, boy scouts, survival courses, and a numerous of other small things. He is hailed as a town hero, and runs unopposed year after year.

Little is known about what happened to him during the zombie outbreak.

Name: Z.3.K.E A.K.A Zeke or Ezekiel (Zirconium.3.Korpse.Extractor)
Gender: Male voice patttern otherwise genderless

Occupation: Enginerical series

Skills/Abilities/traits: Wifi/Internet access, built in comms, Night/Heat detection vision, mechanical strength that can lift upto 2 tons, can maneuvre upon heavy terrain with ease, can cross low tide rivers, has a built in cargo hold which can store around 2 6 ft high 3ft wide 2 ft depth fridges side by side or around 3 to 4 people in close proximity, weight is unknown currently but I'd say around 5 tons. Has steel cutting capability by either circular saw or laser.

Appearance: Standing at 8ft 5" height and 4ft width main body Zeke is quite a big robot, his weight is 5 tons but can be more depending on his cargo hold, he's a smooth metalled robot that seems fresh off the assembly line, he legs are basically two wheels on each side with tank tracks running along the two with a huge block on the back that would open like a skip or a locker with it having a bar locking sytem with a magnetic safety locking mechanism in case of emergencies it also has a lighting system inside. He's painted metallic black and dark green with a logo of the engineering company (Hammer with a black lightning bolt on the head) in normal dark green paint.
his head is a rounded edge square block, his eyes is a silver coloured light band that goes around his head 360 degrees, he has no mouth just a grill in which is voice comes out of. His left hand is a heavy duty circular saw that can cut through a steel, his right hand is a high voltage heat laser that can cut through steel but with greater accuracy, his laser hand can be detatched and a mechanical humanoid hand can be attatched.

Starting point: Zombie infested factory close to said mall.

Starting Gear: Inside his cargo hold currently is a small crate filled with nuclear power based batteries which Zeke runs on, each battery gives him about a years power but 5-6 months if his Circular saw and laser cutter are used continually. The case contains around 30 of these batteries all neatly stacked, in another case inside his cargo hold are many attatchments for Zeke including his hand attatchment, a eye scope which lets him zoom in for focused jobs, spare set of tire tracks and a few other spare parts that may be useful.

Background: Zeke is third robot of his series and is fresh off the assembly line due to a zombie button pressing error, he is currently unaware of humanity's situation unless asked to update from his WiFi connection, he will currently attack zombies due to his programming telling him that they are Bio-engineering rejects which is his job to clean up after, and by clean up I mean chop into little pieces that even a mouse wouldn't be able to see.

Appearance: Age 16, long brown/black hair that covers left side of face. Hair is messy, and goes down a little past shoulder to middle back. Skills/Abilities/Traits: Experienced in many forms of self-defense, can use many firearms fire arm, and is excellent with aim of firearms he knows. Like to play jazz on the trumpet in his free time, as well as draw and sketch. Also very calm.

Starting point: Mall (music store)

Starting Gear: Two handguns and a sniper, both with plenty of ammo, a trumpet, backpack with sketchpad and pencils. Black leather trench coat and an i-pod

Background: He was born in Detroit Michigan, he was an impatient, ill-mannered mean individual and he joined a gang at the age of 10 and from there on learned many things, such as how to use guns, lock picking ect…. At the age of 15 his parents were brutally slaughtered by these mutated zombie, he soon dropped out of the gang supporting himself, and others he came across and became a calm, peaceful, kind individual. He learned how to play the trumpet, was fascinated in mathematics and technology and loves to draw. But he can get serious when his friends are in danger, or someone is being treated unfairly.

Note) I am new to RP’s like this. But if I get something wrong, or am not completely getting the message, please send me a message and kindly help me out, or give me some friendly criticism on what I can do better on it.

Demons are mythical creatures so it violates rule 7 of this RP's general rule: Fantasy stuff is forbidden.

If you're going to be a monster of some sort then that pretty much categorizes you in the Zombie species.
But remember with this you'll also gain the "constant" trait that the species possess.

Also because he was in a gang. And by gang I was short on words to describe what I was saying. Sort of like a gang that goes around salvaging what they can. Sort of like in resident evil extinction or dawn of the dead.
