I haven't gotten far in it yet.

The manga is significantly better than the anime, though things tend to go unexplained for a very long time, and some things aren't explained at all.
Zath: Behold, Karo: The only woman in existence who can make Fenix shut the fuck up.
Redsnow: That, and, frankly, if Karo doesn't like you that much, your character is probably going to die soon after his acceptance anyway.
Keiran: Bad RPs don't get picked, unmemberable RPs get ignored.
Zelosse: I don't usually laugh at blatant attitude, but when I do. It usually involves Karo.

I found the anime fine, good animation, good voice actors, engaging, if mildly mad, plot, but the manga is good too. It portrays the serious moments better.

I like the Soul Eater anime, but I didn't get too far in the manga. Probably because I tried to read it not too long after finishing the anime.

suggestion for Draken, just skip to the part when the anime ends and find it's manga counterpart, then read from there
also, I never got to far either, maybe because the manga designs bugged me too much(SOUL'S DESIGN SUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUCKS!!!!), meh, I dunno :P

After a while, the art style in the manga updates, and looks more like the anime.
Zath: Behold, Karo: The only woman in existence who can make Fenix shut the fuck up.
Redsnow: That, and, frankly, if Karo doesn't like you that much, your character is probably going to die soon after his acceptance anyway.

So a webcomic was brought to my attention by a good friend of mine, and I think I'll do you all a favor by sharing it. Why? Because its really, really, really good.

If you enjoy psychological horror stories, do check this one out. The rather comical art style blends fantastically with the horror elements, and the story seems to be getting stranger and stranger.

And 2299 sounds like a year something Fallout related could happen in.

I've never got that much interest in fallout 3. I didn't finish the campaign for whatever reason.

Have played all of them, including 1 and 2. Notably, I felt like New Vegas was a lot better than 3, even if I can't quite put a finger on why.

Though NV has upgradeable weapons, more levels, and a better companion interface; I like 3 for the overall feel and the fact of its relative newness. I like the radio much better and the fact it's more in a world that is actually destroyed with boundless radiation. By newness, I mean the ability to get 100 in all skills, the incredibly OP weapons and armor, and the wonderful feel of a "modern day setting" RPG shooter. NV also limited perks and the availability of skills. The only pro is the caravan glitch at the fort to get inficaps and the fact that it has better DLC. I also like the story better for 3, though it would be cool if you could end up siding with the enclave.

It's a website supposedly owned by Zenimax and fans speculate it's the next Fallout game. It is indeed the vault-tec logo underneath. The 2299 is only 18 years from when New Vegas is set so it makes logical sense that'd be the setting date, as for 'The Survivor' I assume that's your character title, along side the likes of 'The Vault Dweller', 'The Currier', 'The Lone Wanderer' etc.

I personally preferred New Vegas for it's feel, style and story. The NPCs were so much better and the quests were generally more interesting, plus more diversity in factions than just BoS or Enclave since there was a three way split (Or more) in how you could get shit done which gave it more versatility, the cowboy sci-fi theme was also very good and I feel that the DLC was way more interesting. Even the always frustrating Sierra Madre casino DLC but even that had nice rewards for all it's irritating annoyances.

I've always wanted to play Fallout, but am torn between Fallout 3 and Fallout NV. For a newbie in that series, which game would be best for me?

Both are functionally the same, for the most part. Not much changed in New Vegas in terms of overall gameplay. Either game would work for you, then you could carry over about 80% of what you learned to the other one.

Hmmmm interesting... I'll pick up Fallout GOTY edition and see how it is. If I really like it I'll get Fallout NV Ultimate Edition.
