I'm curious to see a pitch for said "something"
"Suddenly Frodo noticed that a strange-looking weather-beaten man, sitting in the shadows near the wall, was also listening intently to the hobbit-talk. He had a tall tankard in front of him, and was smoking a long-stemmed pipe curiously carved. His legs were stretched out before him, showing high boots of supple leather that fitted him well, but had seen much wear and were now caked with mud. A travel-stained cloak of heavy dark-green cloth was drawn close about him, and in spite of the heat of the room he wore a hood that overshadowed his face; but the gleam of his eyes could be seen as he watched the hobbits."

Oh, I actually subtracted my visible post count by my total post count (since spam posts arent counted), With your method I have 18790 posts in spam

I'm guessing the difference in results might be because of the database bug we had 4 or 5 years ago, when the 1000+ page threads disappeared.

Using the search function I have 505 posts in Spam, 515 in RP.

Finished Sword Art Online. While it wasn't good by any standards, there was some things I liked better about the second half.    Like, the whole 'unrequited love because he's my damn brother' could have been good drama... If it wasn't in a damn harem anime, almost purposely giving ideas to hentai artists. As it stands, I can't figure out if they really thought it was 'ok' because they were 'only' cousins and Asuna was the only obstacle for their sweet, wincestuous love.    I could write a book on what was wrong with that show, but it'd be a waste of time...

Hang on... What exactly am I reading here? The anime is based off a novel?

And oh dear lord in heaven, that was absolutely terrible... It's like some horny teen's writing where he stars as the main character.

Ha! In a light novel adaptation you're unlikely to avoid that. Index/Railgun, Demon King Daimao, Infinite Stratos, Aesthetica of a Rogue Hero are all about an incredibly bland protagonist (since the reader is supposed to easily imagine himself in that role) and 4-8 girls wanting his dick.

Keep in mind that stuff is read by mostly 13-16 year old boys who would really want girls in real life to be that interested in them. Sadly, it's not just them, I don't know if you saw /a/ during the "Colour Wars" (Demon King Daimao) or the "Country Wars" (Infinite Stratos), but it's hard to put into words, hundreds of adult men arguing over which cliche girl character deserves dick. Some of it was trolling obviously, but by my judgement not that much of it. Harem is the most popular genre of light novels, the outlandish and creative settings are there only to assist escapism.

Yeah I kept mentioning it's based on a light novel.

You likely have misconceptions of what being a light novel means, Asmo, keep in mind it's a term that publishers embrace so it is pretty flattering. They rarely have more than 10,000 words, they use many illustrations and they are pretty much entirely dialogue. Content wise they're more comparable to novellas, if that.

http://ranobecafe.wordpress.com/2009/07 ... ght-novel/

Although, to be fair, that part was not in a published light novel.

That's often what light novels are. Rumour has it the author of To Aru Majutsu no Index was 14 when the first volume came out, although he/she uses a pen name so it's unconfirmed. But many authors are in the 18-22 age bracket.

With an Evangelion inspired profile, you'll get a larger benefit of the doubt from me than most newbies do.

I guess that officially means I'm not the newest person here anymore.
I've been looking around, and it's obvious there are too damn many bronies here.
It makes me feel as if I'm part of a group.
I find this quite distressing. Praise Celestia.

Your profile is Doctor Who inspired, we get it. Don't bring it up in every 3rd post, gimmick based profiles are easy to overexpose.
