Hokiro stood, his eyes closed; it was far too bright inside. This is how it always was. His black clothes, now stained brown with dirt, faded in areas that were scuffed, torn here and there from the numerous close calls... and this was his best set. His fingerless gloves were torn to shreds, and he didn't have another pair to replace them.
But though he kept his eyes closed, he never fell asleep, no matter how boring, no matter how insignificant, no matter how trivial the events unfolding around him became to him; he was always alert...
The next step... He hissed the words through his mind and set off, his eyes still closed, but he bumped into no one. The way of their shadows told him everything, their movements told him everything else. He navigated flawlessly, and stood with everyone else in the other room, also annoyingly well-lit. He would have to open his eyes to know who his instructor was.
He did so, saw his instructor at the end of the staging area and clenched his eyes shut painfully. Damn. An instant later, he was standing by him. He slammed a closed fist into an open palm and bowed quickly, respectfully. "Sir. Anzen Hokiro reporting."

- So many thoughts-
So many thoughts raced through Kousa's mind, he was overjoyed but also bored, he felt tired and also anxious. He was a true kaguya, wild and unstable even in thought. Getting up quickly he entered the next room. He saw his team mate in front of his obvious Squad leader. "Names Kaguya Kousa reporting in", Kousa said brashly looking around at the other groups.
Man these guy's also made it huh?, he though coolly in his head while also trying to keep himself perfectly calm. Can't show my instability, not yet anyways, He thought to himself while flicking a finger against a his hair in the back.
Rin breathed deeply, relaxing in the morning air. Today would be the first day he spent with his new 'team'.
Team Thought Rin with distaste. It had never been an easy idea for him. A gray gaze swept the room filtering through the many faces it contained. Each of these fresh individuals had been through special training to become the next, and
better generation of Konoha ninja. Looking back on his own education, Rin frowned. The old academy gave little preparation for the horrors of military life. These fresh genin would be a little better prepared, but unfortunately would be voided of the character and pride building low rank missions. Rin wondered if the Hokage had his heart in the right place.
As always, Rin was far apart from the others, somehow, his personal space managed to project a bubble over a large space in the staging area. No one dared approach within speaking distance. Not even the other Chuunin or Jounin instructors thought to venture out to Rin's corner. With another deep breath, the hum of one hundred soft thuds slowly made their way into Rin's slowly elongating ears. He looked through the fidgety faces looking for those who shot nervous glances his way and honed in on some of their pulses. It was difficult, with so many other varied sounds in the room, but after a moment of concentration Rin heard the increase in hearbeat when one of them noticed his eye contact.
Fear Rin looked away, his chakra returning to its normal flow. Another deep breath came and went as Rin closed his eyes. This was the way it was supposed to be.
The pariah's quiet reflection was short lived. Two of his new students had approached and introduced themselves. Rin flinched internally. Hardened as he was, being social wasn't his strong point. This might be the most difficult thing he faced yet. He listened to the quiet ruffle of one of their uniforms scraping against itself, and the others stoic stillness. Rin opened his eyes letting them fall appraisingly over the two. "
Hmm. . ." He grumbled, casting his eyes around. Apparently not finding what he was looking for, he returned a steely gaze back to the pair. He said nothing, apparently not wanting to Introduce himself more than once.
