Aquilla wakes up, indulges in a good long stretch, and wanders around her inn room getting dressed, assembling equipment, and slapping herself in the face to get over her morning grogginess before setting out into town to see what's interesting. Of course, she's really slept in, but she feels she deserves that break after her last mission. Still, it's about time to make some more money, or find another excuse to explore her magic, so she wanders down to one of the public missions board (the one right outside of that bar/eatery that does fry-ups so well, she was hungry) to have a look-see.
"Well, lookee here, three new missions, aren't I lucky?" she says to herself. The first one looks appealing for the basis of exercising her magic and learning somethin, the second would make good use of her pre-existing skills, the third gives her an opportunity to use her skills and call in a favor... She decides she needs to wake up a bit more and get some breakfast before making a decision, so she walks into the bar, grabs a seat with her back to a wall where she can keep an eye on the rest of the room, and orders her usual of "Fish and chips if you would, barkeep, and a mug of mead as well" before brooding, trying to make a sensible weighing of pros and cons to the missions.
"Well, I'm not truly hurting for money, and if it comes to the absolute worst I can sell some of my jewels, and I'm not even near that point yet, so I don't think I really need to keep that consideration in mind. The bartender slides over a mug of mead, and Aquilla reaches into her boot to produce a copper to slide back at him before continuing her thoughts. "So, the first mission is actually pretty popular, I know I've heard a bunch of people talking about it, and I'm probably past the point of being one of the first people in line, which would mean a bunch of waiting. So, although it is intriguing, it's not a guarantee that I would actually learn anything, and that combined with the wait time means I'll pursue that later rather than sooner, assuming it's still open whenever I get done with my next mission." She takes a couple sips out of her mug, smiling at the quality of this mead, as well as the strong flavour of the raspberries he threw into this batch, before continuing her quiet monologue. Second mission... I am pretty well exactly suited to that mission, and it seems it would be interesting, and I can probably ask a favour or two from that missing guy, even if it's just for some money and a couple of crystals or something. So that's viable, even if it isn't strictly a learning opportunity, I could probably get creative. Besides, a realm of disaster would be pretty fun to explore. The third, though... Going through some long tournament, against all the other battle-hungry applicants, and only if I managed to win would I manage to call upon a favour from the guildmaster? Eh, there's nothing he would be able to do for me I couldn't get myself, strictly speaking, and I'd rather not get beat up on by the battle-hungry types. Guess I'm going for the second mission, after all." she concludes, before sipping more at her mead and waiting for her meal.
