+1 To Geo

I'm just curious, but just how many times have you tried a One Piece RP before? It seems like you usually stick to just a few RPs and recycle them over and over again XD

I think this'll be my... fourth attempt? Anyway, I've tried other RPs and One Piece is still my favorite.

+1 Geo, unless I miscounted and my vote counts for naught.
Hey everybody, PandaBrady here, with more roleplaying!

Also, please support Monty Oum, his work is amazing, especially RWBY. I wish I was that good.

So question of curiosity. What sort of RPs do you guys enjoy playing?

Ones that live past ten pages. Seriously though? I like high fantasy or steampunk.

Ones that have interesting character interactions, the setting doesn't matter to me as long as it is open for characters to develop in game.

Bob's Enuma Elish RPs, and Imenak's X-Instituite were good examples. A little bit of action with a whole lot of dramas.

I agree with BG. Ones with plenty of room for development and plot points that aren't gimmicky are usually the most fun. Action doesn't tend to do too well unless there's some collaboration involved, though. It slows down the pace of the RP usually, since the fight is maybe ten minutes, but the exchange of posts could take a month or so at best.

Deena you just reminded me of the Wild Arms RP. I loved the group we had going there, the Walter, Nina, and Kit interactions were awesome :3

This is pretty interesting.

I like 'good' RPs. Setting and style doesn't matter so much as how much thought has been put into it and how well it's executed. I like ones where the author knows what sort of experience he/she is after and seeks to foster that.

What does this mean specifically? Planning of actions via PMs or characters fighting together against a common foe or?

The Wild Arms RP was awesome! I wish I got to play Nina more.

As for collaboration, either of those examples work for what I meant. Also, collaborating can also mean exchanging IMs as well as PMs, which speeds up the process further.

Okay, I'm actually thinking about setting up a Song of Ice and Fire aka Game of Thrones, role play. But I wanna make sure people are interested. It'd basically be what's going on in the story. We can start at the first book/season and go from there. But everyone would be their own character. (Believe me, there's room for it) I'm definitely going to need someone else to help me out here, because I'm going to be starting a job soon, so my hours here will vary.

Basically, it'd be everyone supporting a main factor in the story. Example: You could be a soldier of the Lannister. You could be a white walker. Basically, anything that isn't a main character. And just because you are a member of a "losing House", does not guarantee you dying. I plan to make this as fair and fun as possible, and I'm currently working on the story and such. Yes, it involves the canon stuff going on right now, but we're definitely entitled to our own little story. But I'm curious to see if anyone is interested, before I go further.

I'd +1 this so long as its built proper enough to accomodate those who are unfamilliar with the lore.

I'd be interested in something like that, though having it follow cannon would limit us in the freedom our characters have... not to mention that those familiar with the books might as well be prophets.

I know nothing of Game of thrones, but I'm always down for sword play,

So 4 votes?
"Suddenly Frodo noticed that a strange-looking weather-beaten man, sitting in the shadows near the wall, was also listening intently to the hobbit-talk. He had a tall tankard in front of him, and was smoking a long-stemmed pipe curiously carved. His legs were stretched out before him, showing high boots of supple leather that fitted him well, but had seen much wear and were now caked with mud. A travel-stained cloak of heavy dark-green cloth was drawn close about him, and in spite of the heat of the room he wore a hood that overshadowed his face; but the gleam of his eyes could be seen as he watched the hobbits."

Huh, that's all it takes?

(Also, from what I've seen, the Game of Thrones series seem to have way more political intrigue than sword play)

Well if players aren't allowed to be from significant houses in the story then that would limit any sort of political pull they could possibly have

Unless we wanted a bunch of littlefingers running around... *shudders*
