Obviously, you didn't. I'll have to spend a good deal of time on this one. X.@

Anyway, that rule applies to words called 'conjunctions,' as well. I'll is an conjunction. And, these words have apostrophes ' in that take the place of missings parts of words. Like this:

"I will be here a while." I and will can be joined into one word, but an apostrophe must be in place of the letters taken off. Like this:

"I'll be here a while."
