Anyway, I wanted to give this RP a chance, but for what I've read so far, its start is on hiatus. The idea is too good to pass though, so I'll post a CS tomorrow.
By the way, is there any problem in using already existent NPC's personas? I was thinking on Palladion, since the Chariot spot is free, but if there's any problem I'll change it.

I'm pretty sure you are encouraged to use a Persona that hasn't appeared in the games yet. There might be exceptions.

Technically the second group is full, but some shuffling of roles is going on there. I figure applying wouldn't hurt. Jay would look at your sheet.

Hey, I've never played any of the Persona games, but I like this concept and I think I could adapt. Would this be a problem nonetheless?

Well, anyway, I wrote up a character sheet. If I can join, then this'd be it.

Personality: Strong, silent type. Prefers to watch the movements of his foes first and then strike, quickly and decisively. Despite his aura of dominance, he is easy to get along with and difficult to anger; he does not hold grudges against good people.
Appearance: He doesn't shave unless he needs to, and he keeps his raven-themed hair long and blown back, and he sports a mustache and goatee. He is of above-average height, and is very athletic, but his musculature is hidden by the baggy clothes he always wears. Even his school uniform hides them effectively. He doesn't go out of his way to break the uniform requirements. His casual attire consists of varying long-sleeved shirts and any kind of pants that fit him.
History & Social Situation: Hardly ever talks about himself, and people don't want to ask, so rumors start to spread about him. Some say he was raised by wolves, others say it was wolverines. Some think he was born into the Japanese Mafia, Yakuza. Others think his father was murdered and he was raised by his mother. People continue to speculate, but he doesn't feel any need to gainsay anything. "It's just gossip," he says.
Weapon type: Unarmed, but wears dense (heavy) metal arm guards that cover the entire forearm, and do not seem to greatly impair his normal speed. Skilled at hand-to-hand combat.

I've been procastinating on sheet decisions for sooooo long.

I doubt I'll actually have a decision with any sort of promptness though.

Having played a Persona game is not required at all, but it does help you get in (just cause knowledge helps write a better sheet--I won't actually automatically rate a sheet higher because of that).

And yes, I encourage the use of original persona. If you HAVE to use an established one, it has to be one that a major NPC has never used before. So Palladion's no good.

Ok so I just now joined the site and noticed this RP. I really have no idea what Persona is except vague secondhand accounts. I was going to borrow it at one point but forgot to before i moved off to college. If I read a wiki do you think that will give me enough info to join?

How would I go about figuring out which Personas have never been used, or were you just talking about another PC had used that Persona?

Also I'm pretty new to RP's in general. I write well, or so I like to think, but I've always been too afraid of joining RP's for fear that I would be too newbish or something and would just generally alienate the other players.

What do you guys think? Should I give this one a try or just watch it once it starts and join a less advanced one? The only real experience I have is a paper and pen RP me and my friends created one day and maybe 2 semi serious D&D campaign, that never actually finished. Oh and I'm on eRepublik. Thomas Thade if anyone else is.

Edit: Good Lord I just noticed how many posts you guys have, that's insane. Now I feel even more newbish.

On the last bit, no worries. Post counts don't really much matter for spit. All you need is a competence of literacy.

As for having a Persona, we mean that if a character in the game series had it, it's preferred you not use it. As for a list...

This lists all the Arcana used in the series thus far, and they link to pages listing Persona used for each Arcana. Some searching will let you know which were used by game characters.

Though, now, don't think the free slot that was open is still available, so might not be able to actually join.
