This is an RP based on Read or Die (R.O.D.)

Story
Three years ago creatures known as Igin appeared. Igin were historical figures who have been mutated and enhanced. Their creator wished to destroy most of the human population. It was assumed that the Igin were extinct after that incodent.

Unfortunately after such a long dorment state new Igin have appeared in search of rare artifacts from history. Fortunately after the first Igin attacks a new special division of the UN was formed to combat such a threat if it ever resurfaced. The recently formed Agency must figure out why the Igin have surfaced, what they are planning, and how to stop them before it is too late.

There are two sides to choose from. You can be an agent or an Igin. Agents are humans with special powers. The only character you can be from the movie is Paper, and Ms Deep if you can fit her in, but you can have your own character with simular powers. For now I am keeping the Igin's motives secrete. I want to encourage people to dig for them. Oh and you can be an Igin thats just following orders and doesn't know the bosses motives. Just remember an Igin's powers need to be related to what that person did in life. Remember they could have been completely passive in life and deadly warriors as Igin.

Power:Able to create black holes and control them, sucking objects in or out, the more he creates though the smaller and more unstable they get so if he makes too many he'll pass out from exhaustion and the black holes will either suck themselves in or everything around them.
Bio: A rather arrogant man, since his family have mastered the ability to control space and create black holes, nothing ever gets close enough to him unless he wants it. He's rather laidback and somewhat of a womanizer and will usually be seen eating for hours and never gain weight. He joined The Agency out of pure boredom and never having a chance to test his power other than against other family members. He happens to be the current Clan Leader for the Fraser Clan although he's rather young for the job. Oddly enough, you'll never see him without headphones on and a CD player, tje reasons why are unknown but he says he just likes headphones.

Nationality: what exactly do you want here? actual race, or just where he was born? after all, you can be irish and born in japan, and vice versa.
Gender:male.
Power: can control metal, and his skin is aactually a form of metal that looks and feels like normal flesh.
Bio: saber has little history, having long ago lost his memory after an accident he barely survived. essentially, a large vat of molten metal tipped over, and the metal completely coated him. he woke up months later in the hospital, finding that his skin had adapted to the metal, and given him control of any metal in his hand, or his flesh itself. he can be very serious at times, but overall he's very laid back and fun loving.

there are a few limits to his power: one, there has to be a direct connection between his hand and the metal. for example, two metal bars are touching, and he grabs the first one. he can manipulate both, as long as they're still touching. if they stop touching, he can only manipulate the one in his hand, obviously. as for the skin thing, the muscles underneath are unaffected, and he can't form new skin. the main use of the metal-skin is he can attach metal objects directly to his flesh, which can spawn such great fun-filled objects as wrist-cannons and a shoulder mounted rocket launcher.

Nameless your good as long as you dont use your powers too well. I also am assuming you are using things more closely resembling worm holes then quatum singularities. But there must be a way to hit you. How about you can only make so many at a time and limit the size.

Nikki I assume you mean she is an illusionist. That should be fine.

yalborap2 Nationality is the nation your a citisian of. Remember the agency spread into many nations, but is centered in Britain. Also your cannon and rocket launcher is ok, but you will need conventional ammo. So you cant just make a missle from a piece of sheet metal or anything like that. But feel free to care that with you.

those were just examples. basically, toss him a gun and he'll form it into his arm.

and if I was gonna do main weapons, I'd rig up something that could use metal for ammo.

as for nationality....let us assume he's just gonna be where the main part of the action is, shall we? I'm assuming that's britain.

Erm, I've never seen ROD, but it seems intresting, can anyone give me a good summary of what it exactly is, and also what powers are based? Like are they somewhat realistic like Alchemy or is it fantasy like black magic?

basically, group of people with superpowers is formed to deal with shit, we see series of basically old famous people being cloens, and the clones being given powers and shit, some stuff happens, one of the main characters gets amnesia, and our powers are supposed to be...I guess between alchemy and black magic. for example, the main character of the series, yomiko readman, also known as The Paper, can control paper. one of her best moments was when she turned an ally's money into a goddamn sword that cut through metal. or, the other main character, who I forget the real name of, but who's codename was ms. deep, could phase through objects for a short time. you'll note that mandy has taken over control of ms. deep, and changed some name-based details.

Actually, there are two RODs: The OVA that aired on Adult Awim, and ROD the TV that G4TechTV currently has the rights to air. The TV series follows three sisters that are Paper Masters (that is what Ms. Paper is... a Paper Master) as they play bodyguards to a certain author... I forget why.

Heyy..Didja know that one of the Paper Masters in the show have a friend who was Yomiko's STUDENT? She's a novelist. >> I study up! ^^ I a good girl! I know there was a series but haven't seen it, trust me I looked. So this is based on the OVA. To be exact the Paper could move paper with her mind, bond paper to objects, and make it as strong as steel.

Question..........is this one more based on the OVA or the TV series. The OVA is the one mandy showed a pic from and is three episodes long. The series is supposed to follow the kids of the main character from the OVA.
