Hee. I've been to O'ahu this year too. Stayed at Waikiki for a week. I'm asthmatic and I was able to climb both Manoa Falls and Diamondhead. XP

Diamondhead was awesome. The breeze and view were an adequete reward. I'm asthmatic as well though.

Not to mention the 50-100 ABC stores that filled the tourist district.

We visited Akaka falls and the Volcano State Park on the Big Island.

Pearl Harbor was an eye opening experience for me. I was shaken up a bit, but life goes on. The remains of the USS Arizona seemed kind of eerie still.

The Polynesian Culture Center was aiight. Didn't get to do everything, but we did see was good. We should have gone earlier, but no regrets.

Yeah, the ABC Stores there are like Starbucks here. Several on the same street. But they don't all carry the same things, so it's cool. I went to Pearl Harbor too. I videotaped everything, just for my dad.

Whatever your reasons, they are meaningless, since the Weirdness is there, and it's where your conversation will be continued, if not on PMs. Don't just hijack an OOC thread for your own convenience.

My char is quite fed up with the whole situation, and he wants to throw the towel, but I don't want to ruin the RP for the other players. Any suggestions what I should do?

Get beaten up?

If it's what Cornelius would do, do it. That's usually how I play.

Yeah, you really shouldn't hold back on honestly playing your character, especially if it's something that characterizes them.

I mean, unless it's been explicitly disallowed, then no, but nothing was said about it, do your best.

Of course, the big problem is when your character and you want to do different things.

It might be irritating, but you're playing your character, and not yourself. Unless you're one of those people who make self-inserts, which is just embarassing.

Yeah, I know. But sometimes a character might want to do something that'd disrupt the flow of everything, etc.

It's just about balance.

You do have to play your character as your character, but at the same time you have to remember it's an RP and you need to play them with at least some level of respect toward the other players, so I can understand asking before wanting to just walk away from an event or such.

I'll be the first to admit, i've done some things I'm not sure Pyro would do solely for the purpose of keeping the general situation/plot intact.
