While I thought that Isador's battle madness was a good touch I have been on the fence about making his weapon actually possessed by a demon which would slowly try to chip away at his sanity.

Demons can't really possess items in the DA universe, though. Maybe it has pure lyrium gemstones embedded into it that causes him to go mad? It could be like Meridith's sword.

idk Isador used to dose himself with more lyrium then most templars, his resistance is top tier. Could a spirit or vengeful ghost maybe of a mage possess the axe?

Sure. I think that has happened somewhere. I dunno, I don't have a problem with it, cuz your employer has the same thing going on.

It's pretty impossible to gain a resistance to lyrium unless you're a dwarf; the whole point is that the stuff chips away at your sanity over time. It even makes dwarves crazy, and they're born with a natural resistance to it since they don't have a connection to the Fade. Case in point, Sandal. He only used regular, run of the mill lyrium for his enchantments, too. There's also that one dwarf in Orzammar that sells you stuff who is a little batty from getting lyrium in his blood, and he only got a scratch. Primeval lyrium/red lyrium is waaay more potent than the normal stuff, and makes people more of a violent brand of crazy.

Yeah considering the red lyrium drove Meredith insane and she was a total badass, there isn't much to be said for anyone building up a resistance to it.

Considering the idols and altars that have come up with demons in them, it might be possible that a demon were instead sealed into an item that can be carried. And they've still tempted and lured folks to them, so he could suffer some potential effects due to continued exposure to its power.

If you really wanna try it without lyrium induced madness.

To the estate, yes. But I can make it so you just pop up there. Literally, all you need to do is just say K, and leave for the place if you want to join on the "quest". But I can get people there like I did Isador. It isn't a problem.


While or when? While you are traveling there, nothing will happen. When you get there, the layout and description have been established, you can enjoy some of the feast, but then Teryn Cousland is going to get everyone who came to go on a mission for the Kingdom.
