manga for Air Gearhttp://i65.photobucket.com/albums/h202/ ... 0025ed.jpg
^ It's official. Risa from Lovely Complex is The Doctor.
I'm almost done with LC. It's been good, I'll admit.

Actually there ARE a few real life people with two hearts. On occasion, when a person has a bad heart, doctors doing a transplant will attack the second one WITHOUT removing the first (sometimes this is done if they feel the persons health is too perilous to risk having them without a heart even for the time it would take to do the transplant or if they feel the the donor heart is itself not strong enough to be able to shoulder the load alone.) It's not a common medical procedure, but it is done. And there was at least one person in Medical History (in 19th century Italy, I think) who actually was confirmed to have two hearts of his own, naturally.
Anyway, just for a few giggleshttp://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mo5_PFiUMg0http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aNvqtKv1bPo

That... is just so very wrong. Also, it ripped off the Iron Giant.
I never liked Eva myself. Surprisingly enough, I like mech-based anime. I love blood and gore. I also love Soap Operas. I should
be able to love Eva, but I just can't bring myself to do so.
Also, the second vid would make more sense if it had YGO 5Ds instead.

Coincidentally Evangelion is my favourite anime of all time. I do not like mecha anime but I love Eva. Madoka is my close second. What is your favourite anime?

Oy...again with "favorite". That's always a hard question to answer.
Darker Than Black
Umineko no Naku Koro ni
^ are my favs. Notice it's Umineko, not Higurashi.

Yo, One Piece. High Five!
You read the latest one?
It's becoming more and more serious, I fucking love it. People that think it's childish can go take 10 in a corner.
Thu Sep 05, 2013 9:24 pm
I don't read it. I watch it. I like the anime better.
It's important to know that the anime and manga are very different.
Thu Sep 05, 2013 9:29 pm
Yea, it feels kinda like an ultimatum to state which is your favorite anime/manga...........because even though if you didn't particularly like one, maybe there are certain things you can rescue from it that were actually good (well of course it all depends on the person cause we all don't like the same things) and the opposite too, as there might be some things you didn't like from your favorite anime/manga
BTW, some of my favorite ones are: Code Geass, Death Note, Elfen Lied (manga), H.O.T.D. (cause of the zombie apocalypse of course XD)......but if it comes to the good ol' nostalgic ones, then it's Digimon 1, Rurouni Kenshin and Slayers.

How are they different?
I read and watch it too, I just wait for the arcs to finish before watching the anime.
Unless you're watching that Funimation shit. Though, they stick to the events of the manga.
The anime/manga for One Piece seem identical for me, even the fillers in the anime are based off the cover stories on the manga.

They have different timelines...
Let me explain. The anime and the manga both have the same events - for the most part - but many of those events happen at different times. As well, the passage of time (lunar cycles, etc) are also different. This was studied for some time by fans. Many of the extras in the anime are also deemed canon in the anime, despite contradictions that result in the anime itself because of this. Lastly, many (including myself) believe that the manga's progression - being done with more haste - causes it to not flow as well as the anime does. I believe that the anime is more fine-tuned.

I have no troubles.
Time in shows like these aren't that hard to figure out.

Personally I feel that the One Piece anime moves too slow. Although (I'll admit) that that is probably more due to my reading of the manga. It is true that the pacing of each is different, but the reason for it being paced differently is due to the anime material being too close to the source material. The episodes of One Piece are approximately 22 (or is it 23) minutes long. Subtract from it the approximate 5 minutes that they take on intro and recap and we have 17-18 minutes. Taking all that into account, however, we get moments where there are obvious still shots left up there for what feels like 20-30 seconds at a time (which just makes it feel like it is dragging to me). It doesn't happen all the time, though, and I'll admit that it could be paced a lot worse, but this pace is pretty much the reason I started to read the manga (well that and I ran out of episodes to watch :p).
Although I suppose that it goes hand in hand that the manga is moving hastily along so as to further separate itself from the anime. Overall though, I'm fine with the slow'ish pace of the anime, wouldn't want it to end from getting too close to the manga (like Bleach and Fairy Tail did).

See, there's something about Blue that scares me. I've never met a person before that I can agree with everything they say. Literally, every single detail.
Thu Sep 05, 2013 11:22 pm
Well, you said it, anime series based on ongoing mangas have to take a slow pace because if not they get to close to the manga arcs (taking into account that 1 anime episode takes more or less 2 manga chapters and both come once per week) and they have to end it abruptly. And that's when you implement: eternal background shots, 3 hour-long stares, repetitive flashbacks, op & ed and the always useful FILLERS.

Have you given any thought to the theory that she is in fact your own split personality?
I wish I could participate in this conversation but the character designs I just can not take seriously.
Thu Sep 05, 2013 11:35 pm
If she is, I hope to talk more with her in the future. Bcuz her activity seems to have lessen, please stay :c
See, I have another friend that gives me that excuse. The 'artwork'. Slavery(human trafficking), racism, kidnapping, murder, corrupt government, drug trafficking, and more. And on top of all that, we have the crazy concepts they add, like a chaos effect, and make it work in logical order. The one and only reason it's not my favorite, is because it hasn't ended yet. I'm sure we've all had the experience of watching/reading and amazing story, and the ending just...No. I hope that One Piece won't have such a thing, especially with its length, but we'll have to just wait and see.

Or your True Love?
And I'm just gonna guess Cerulean IS Blue.
The slower pace helps me take it in better - which I enjoy. I love Bleach but the manga goes waaaaay too fast for my taste - though I read every update
Fairy Tail, I like the manga more. It already goes at the perfect pace - the anime still goes slower than that, though, which annoyed me too much.
One Piece is actually a really good mirror to our own world, which I like.

True Love, yea, that won't scare her(at least I think, Mir's one of the reasons I question these gender markers) off.
Never enjoyed Bleach, recently I talked to someone who enjoys it, he enlightened me. I respect it more, but still hate it.
Fairytail is eh for me, read it to keep up

Tenshi, Not the artwork. I would not wish to insult the artist. It is just the character designs that I do not like.
Fri Sep 06, 2013 12:11 am
BUT A REINDEER AND A HALF NAKED CYBORG!
NOT TO MENTION PLOT, AND ALL THE PLOT, FOR THE MALES TOO!
ALL CAPS FTW

So, what part of the character designs didn't you like? I do admit there are some "odd" ones for anime:
Feminist I-don't-need-a-man females.
A warrior (Zoro) that did actual physical training to get his strength.
...and more. Oh, wait! Looks to me like the author actually made some new character types than the same old ones used in anime again and again and again...
I can see why people wouldn't like that.

I have heard that Oda is a brilliant writer which makes me feel like I might be missing out on something but then the characters with their long noses and massive forearms and things like that which put me of.
Fri Sep 06, 2013 1:07 am
Missing out is an understatement.
I'm heading off to bed, so guys enjoy your time.
Also, I just realized, Blue left T.T You scared her off Krest!

She prob just went to sleep. G'nite, Tenshi.
Long forearms... You mean these guys? :http://onepiece.wikia.com/wiki/Longarm_Tribe
^ Yes, that actually happens.
Fri Sep 06, 2013 1:27 am
I actually meant Franky but you helped my point. I just can not bring myself to like these character designs. And no matter how good the writing is, I doubt it could top Madoka or SNK in my opinion.
