There are lots of disappointing sequels but try naming sequels that surpassed the original. StarTrek: Into Darkness and A Game of Shadows come to mind.

That movie?
As I saw the creature, I was as white as an egg. I was so scared I might crack from fear. As the humanoid began to lunge after me, I was walking on egg shells from how scared I was. It grabbed me, took me to its station, and cracked me open. The last thing I saw were my yellow insides cooked on a pan. Human nature is as evil as a rotten egg.

Yes, that movie. Bruce Willis became a good actor once he grew old, apparently.

I went to see Red 2 the other day with my gf, it was a nice sequel though not as fun as the first movie.
Also saw the illusionists. Was kinda frustrated for the first half of the movie but hey, Morgan Mother Fucking Freeman.

The Illusionists? I think I know to which film you are referring but I may also be thinking of another film called "Now You See Me".

Why did they change the name of a film? Was the original title somehow considered offensive where you live?

No. The direct translation even exists as a real phrase (ahora me vez, ahora no, which is identical to now you see me now you don't) so i don't see why they changed the name.

Name might have already been taken. That's why Biohazard is only called that in Japan. Everyone else knows it as Resident Evil. "Biohazard" was already used on the market everywhere else (at least that's what I heard).

I do believe you're correct. I think it was because of a band called "Biohazard" that the name was changed here.

I see. When I went to France I seem to remember Terminator 4 had also gone through a name change. In my country it was called "Salvation" but in France I am quite sure I remember a poster saying "Terminator: La Révolution". Although it was a few years ago so it not impossible I am wrong.

That one and the second Terminator are the only ones I really liked. The first I can never remember, and the third didn't spark that much interest.

First one: One saw parts of
Second one: Really awesome.    When the terminator does a thumbs-up before he's melted in the lava still gets me.
Third one: It was cool, but still didn't live up to 2 and (maybe) 1.
Fourth: Really liked. Takes an intro to the actual "Judgement Day" and how people survived and fought the machines.

What still gets me wondering is if this work of fiction can actually become a reality?

I agree with that summary.

As for actually happening, ehh. I don't know about that, I see iRobot as being more likely.

I Robot's another cool movie. That one scene where    Will Smith's character battles all those cyborgs in the highway is so AWESOME!!!

"ACHOO! Oh, sorry, I'm allergic to bullshit"
"Suddenly Frodo noticed that a strange-looking weather-beaten man, sitting in the shadows near the wall, was also listening intently to the hobbit-talk. He had a tall tankard in front of him, and was smoking a long-stemmed pipe curiously carved. His legs were stretched out before him, showing high boots of supple leather that fitted him well, but had seen much wear and were now caked with mud. A travel-stained cloak of heavy dark-green cloth was drawn close about him, and in spite of the heat of the room he wore a hood that overshadowed his face; but the gleam of his eyes could be seen as he watched the hobbits."
