Well fahk! That's the only example I've got! *grumble grumble*

Maru's suggestion reminded me of that godawful thread people made about posting whatever song you think fits X character. It was a massive cockfest of people posting shit songs without justifications that people rarely paid attention to or discussed.
Oh am gad AH FAUND BELLS THEME!!!!!!!!!!!
Mon Mar 18, 2013 12:01 am
Ha. I remember that thread.
It was awful.
Mon Mar 18, 2013 12:08 am
Its made extra pointless based on the fact that no one cares about anyone's music taste but their own. In the music thread in spam no one talks about anyone else's music, they just wait for someone else to post so that they can post again what they're listening to.

The only time I remember discussing music on the forums was with Hiryu many years ago in EA.
Mon Mar 18, 2013 12:15 am
I like the thread in spam because even though what you said is true, i use it to broaden my music frontiers.

Kind of makes you wonder why the Radio Experiment failed.
You know, other than the glitch that made it so no-one could edit their posts.
Mon Mar 18, 2013 2:37 am
because it was lame :I
Mon Mar 18, 2013 2:40 am
Well, it was only as lame as the people and songs within it. I found the concept of only three people being allowed to edit the radio kind of odd- even if I was one of them who was chosen.
I uploaded my first song as a joke, but I was ready to put up some real music- other people's requests. Kind of like a weekly gameshow or something... but you know, it was broken and I couldn't edit it. It was a fun idea, it was just bogged down in impurities.
Mon Mar 18, 2013 3:40 am
It was not a good idea. I don't see how any of you could ever think of it as a good idea. I'm not even shooting down ideas just because, but the concept was way ahead of it's time.
Mon Mar 18, 2013 4:12 am
Well this is all in hindsight. I'm sure it failed because it fundamentally was NOT a good idea, so you're right. I just have a feeling like it could have become something cool, but it was just too flawed.
What else is there to talk about...
Oh! Netflix is going to start airing 1990's cartoons soon, if they haven't already. Including but not limited to Powerpuff Girls and Samurai Jack.
Mon Mar 18, 2013 4:16 am
Netflix is already getting competitors isn't it?
Though it'll be a bit hard to catch up to it.
Mon Mar 18, 2013 5:29 am
I just figure it'd be fun to do? Sure, its a visuals thing, but from those visuals I can pretty much just imagine the music that'd play in back. Better than using the 'fitting music' thread for ideas.

I actually have 3/4 seasons of Samurai Jack. Favorite cartoon
Mon Mar 18, 2013 4:07 pm
It never got an ending did it?

BR actually references how it never got a proper ending with the title of one of the pages of PPGD. 2 internets for whoever figures out which one.
Mon Mar 18, 2013 5:40 pm
Crap, that's gonna be hard.
Mon Mar 18, 2013 6:52 pm
So I'm working a fan-theme for Junior's Nergal Form. It's a bit heavier on electric guitar, but this should be a fun little trial run. I might need to re-read Grim Tales to get a better feel though...
Mon Mar 18, 2013 6:59 pm
good to have a project I guess.....

I'm confident that once you've finished it, the overall quality of the internet will improve significantly.

"Episode 53: Jack and the Kendo Class", Samurai Jack ended its run with 52 episodes.

No, Tartakovsky wanted to make one with Frederator Studios films and J. J. Abrams' Bad Robot Productions. Frederator Studios had all kinds of financial problems, but it still would've gotten made if J. J. Abrams remained on the project, since apparently whenever hollywood suits hear Abrams is involved, they have a "shut up and take my money" reaction. But Abrams got signed to make the first Star Trek movie and didn't have time to be involved in promoting the idea, so Tartakovsky put the project on hold.
After that, Sym-Bionic Titan got cancelled and Tartakovsky left the Cartoon Network animation division and signed with Sony Pictures Animation and did Hotel Transylvania for them, which Sony considered a success. So they've picked Tartakovsky to direct the next Popeye animated movie, it's supposedly an "important" project for Sony.
Tartakovsky still says he wants to make a film concluding Samurai Jack, but I think that's just to stop fans from rioting. He seems to be Sony's golden boy for now and he doesn't seem to be on very good terms with Time Warner anymore, and they're the ones holding the rights to Samurai Jack.

2 internets to Rival. Don't spend it all in one place.
