Maru's suggestion reminded me of that godawful thread people made about posting whatever song you think fits X character. It was a massive cockfest of people posting shit songs without justifications that people rarely paid attention to or discussed.

Well, it was only as lame as the people and songs within it. I found the concept of only three people being allowed to edit the radio kind of odd- even if I was one of them who was chosen.

I uploaded my first song as a joke, but I was ready to put up some real music- other people's requests. Kind of like a weekly gameshow or something... but you know, it was broken and I couldn't edit it. It was a fun idea, it was just bogged down in impurities.

It was not a good idea. I don't see how any of you could ever think of it as a good idea. I'm not even shooting down ideas just because, but the concept was way ahead of it's time.

Well this is all in hindsight. I'm sure it failed because it fundamentally was NOT a good idea, so you're right. I just have a feeling like it could have become something cool, but it was just too flawed.

Oh! Netflix is going to start airing 1990's cartoons soon, if they haven't already. Including but not limited to Powerpuff Girls and Samurai Jack.

I just figure it'd be fun to do? Sure, its a visuals thing, but from those visuals I can pretty much just imagine the music that'd play in back. Better than using the 'fitting music' thread for ideas.

No, Tartakovsky wanted to make one with Frederator Studios films and J. J. Abrams' Bad Robot Productions. Frederator Studios had all kinds of financial problems, but it still would've gotten made if J. J. Abrams remained on the project, since apparently whenever hollywood suits hear Abrams is involved, they have a "shut up and take my money" reaction. But Abrams got signed to make the first Star Trek movie and didn't have time to be involved in promoting the idea, so Tartakovsky put the project on hold.

After that, Sym-Bionic Titan got cancelled and Tartakovsky left the Cartoon Network animation division and signed with Sony Pictures Animation and did Hotel Transylvania for them, which Sony considered a success. So they've picked Tartakovsky to direct the next Popeye animated movie, it's supposedly an "important" project for Sony.

Tartakovsky still says he wants to make a film concluding Samurai Jack, but I think that's just to stop fans from rioting. He seems to be Sony's golden boy for now and he doesn't seem to be on very good terms with Time Warner anymore, and they're the ones holding the rights to Samurai Jack.
