I think he interpreted an imposing tone. Those eight words are literally the first thing that run through my mind when SAO is spoken about.

Fun fact. There's a joke by Chinese anime fans(as in from China) that call SAO, Sword Art Elementary, because the fan base for SAO is primarily school kids(average age 12) that don't stop talking about it.

The way you say "Sounds funny to me", I picture you pressing play on a canned laughter track you have paused in another window, just waiting for the right moment.

Wait, has the second season of SAO been out already. I must have missed it. I never saw the first season.

Technically third (the Aincrad saga is two seasons long), but yes. Many people, Doc included, were apparently disappointed with Alfheim saga, to put it lightly.

Speaking of anime taking place in MMOs I'm watching log horizon on crunchyroll. The first two episodes have been pretty good, not being as serious as SAO, seemingly have done with the one life trope.

I was disappointed when the pacing of the show was so great at first, floor one building up the setting, then a few months pass and they on day like 11 and shit, going up at a steady, earnest pace.

Then as soon as the concept of relationships gets involved, a triumvirate of episodes is dedicated solely to dicking around and accomplishing absolutely nothing. The pacing went from months between episodes to minutes between episodes, and it seemed to never recover.

It got so bad, that instead of reaching floor 100, they actually SKIPPED THAT SHIT and decided to break the rules of physics instead and have the game be beaten well before the top of the castle.

Alfheim was weird, but at least it had rather consistent pacing.

I shall abuse this with grace and diginity.

The show is like a bad DBZ as in the main character s over-powered for no reason and everyone else doesn't matter and or is weak.

So I just went to see How to train your dragon 2. It is really awesome, especially for a sequel. Has anyone else seen it I wonder?

Yessum. I really wasn't expecting them to go in the direction that they did. And I loved the way they handled it. A great film and a great sequel.

Maybe I should see both of them then. I remember in 5th grade our teacher read the book version of it and the movie version is only loosely based on the book.

I do really like that they are not afraid to pull punches. Bad things happen in the film that are irreversible. Like Hiccup loosing his leg. And something similar to that happens in the sequel that I was equally surprised by.

There's going to be a part 3.

Loved the movie, but there were a couple things that really annoyed me.    I think his dad's death could've been done a lot better. The final fight was also a bit too childish, but I can get over that. The ending monologue was forced, kind of took away the genuine feeling from the movie. And my biggest issue, after his mom told him that she can teach him more dragon stuff (15 extra years worth!) she didn't show him a single trick afterwards.

Well as for that last part, right after that moment, allot of stuff started happening. But the next series of the TV show will probably be set after 2 so there is plot for that.

I never like shows based on CGI films. Whether it is How to train your dragon or kungfu panda, I can't watch those films without looking at the series after and seeing nothing but a massive drop in quality. It is really obvious when you look at the textures on the characters and also the detail of the backgrounds.

Who else would you consider a favourite person? Don't say Morgan Freeman I like him.

Yeah, but they still had some good years left in them, and they seem to be dying either from cancer, heart problems, and whatever else health issues are out there. I'll still miss them, and besides, Clint Eastwood and Morgan Freeman are old and still kicking.

You can't know that, life is unpredictable.
Honestly death should not be surprising past 40 years old, we live at an age where our lifetimes are extended to great lenghts thanks to modern medicine and stuff like that but we're still human.

Yeah, but it's hard when you grow up with these great people, only to see them die when least expected, and believe me, I know how long people can live. I live in a town there the old refuse to die and they can live as old as 110 years old.
