Yep, I did. The abridged series even makes a joke (or two, or fifteen) about it.

Now for my opinion: Why do I think something cold annd sinister is brewing in weiss? It must be that ego of hers, clouding her judgement. It may as well affect her more prominently in more serious situations.

Yang was hilarious. BR would aprove.

lol Wow... just... mhmha... wow. I'm not used to the whole glowing    tail-end    thing, so naturally, I had assumptions about what kind of    creature    that could have been including a    bull, and also one of those fish that uses the glowy thing as a lure... what the hell is that called? Anglerfish   ... I have the feeling those are not    the relics   .

Where did Ruby come from all of the sudden?

This was a funny episode lol. I don't get how Ruby ended up in the air either. Although there was that feather in the last episode so maybe some kind of giant bird grabbed her off screen.

Merc's spoiler tags are irritating me :p
Ruby's being air bound is probably them hinting at the next episode. A short flashback to how she's flying in the air, or how the groups are all near each other.

Based on previous experience, taking the chess pieces was a BAD IDEA. It probably unleashed some sealed beast of some kind.

You know who's going to most likely end up dealing with it?

Lie Ren. Poor bastard...

Lie. Geezes. It's being proposed that the scream came not from Jaune but from Weiss. Maybe Blake has previous experience with this Ravengrim we have yet to see.

New Abridged:

"I smell a pic-a-nic basket!" LOL

The abridged has actually been getting WORSE. Thankfully, the new RWBY episode has enough material for all the jokes in an Everybody Loves Raymond episode. He CAN'T mess the next one up...right?

Anyone else notice how Blake started looking in some random direction even before ruby was in sight. Also I know those are not ears but I just want them to be so much.

That was an awesome battle. After the previous episodes, this one made up for all the missing actions.

Weiss' change in attitude feels off though.

HM.

Tactical work is good, as expected. More in-depth analysis later. Important note: Nora quickly offering competition for Yang as best character.

That episode started out cringe worthy for about a minute. Before becoming the most awesome episode EVER!

Episode 8 was up.

Is it just me, or does the high level of comedy in this episode seem like a challenge from Monty Oum to Alpha Jaune ?

I'd say the characters are currently all at Level 20. Jaune is like a Captain from LOTRO. However, RWBY definitely showed JNPR up.

This episode was probably made before He even began abridging so I would doubt it. He probably just wants to include a lot of humor to keep it felling fresh. I doubt Monty cares that someone is abridging RWBY. At least he does not seem like the kind of person who would.

Hmmm, bigger? About the same size, from the looks of it.

Eh, I'd say the bird was much dumber than the scorpion. That also needs to be taken into account. The bird made many rookie moves - including hesitation. It opened itself up too much. On the other hand, the scorpion left little to no openings - that's why I was amazed by the perfect timing of the two tanks with their shields and the Vindictus spear-throw by Pyrrha. In case you've never played that game, it is basically Expert+ difficulty to throw spears like that - even harder to do it IRL.

While RWBY definitely had better looks to their strategy, they also had more room for error. JNPR didn't.

RWBY may have shown JNPR up but they had it tons easier. From margin of error, to available room, even to the amount of time they could think up the plan.

Ah, I was one of the few that liked you from the start. c:
The more you mention Vindictus, the more I want to reinstall it, make a new character, and play through it all. Think I stopped when Glas came out, fully geared Evie, Staff and Scythe. Woop

I agree that JNPR team was better. Krest's assessment sums up pretty much half of mine.

Would Monty be proud? ^^

It's interesting to continue mentioning Vindictus, actually... Like how RWBY and JNPR are individual teams, a Vindi player could see Lann, Fiona, Evie, and Karok (LFEK) as the team for Season 1 of Vindi while Kai, Vella, and Hurk (KVH?) are part of the team for Season 2. I also like S2 better than S1 - with Vella being my fav character.

I was sure the bird was at least twice the size.

The bird... made rookie moves? The bird made rookie moves? When I hit a bird with a stone I do not say the bird made rookie moves. When I catch a fish I do not say the fish made rookie moves. When I stand on a spider I do not say the spider made rookie moves. This started out as a rant I think but then I started thinking about how amusing it would be if I did do all of those things. From now on whenever I kill something, my excuse will be "It made rookie moves" or perhaps "It clearly showed hesitation in not dying". Anyway I just meant that the way they killed the bird looked cooler. I was not implying that it was much harder.

LOL Are you serious?

When fishing, a fish does not ignore the worm because it isn't appetizing or it didn't notice the thing. It does so because it knows it's a trap - from seeing other fish get caught. When a bird is being shot at, it's supposed to know better than to go perch somewhere and think it's safe. The GIANT DEMON BIRD - which was a bloodthirsty Boss monster, might I add - should have known better than to keep landing in different places.

The scorpion, on the other hand, could have just started snapping at JNPR with the same exact pattern over and over again. It didn't. It timed its moves perfectly and actually aimed- just like how it used its tail to "catch" JP in the first place, broke pillars to get the characters to the bridge, and kept JNPR from leaving the bridge. The GIANT DEMON SCORPION used strategy. The GIANT DEMON BIRD had no excuse.
