Just a lack of intensity that Bleedman's comics used to have. Comparison of past to present:
PPGD:
Past- Blossom's life at stake in an epic struggle between long time rivals.
Present- some timey wimey wibbly wobbly stuff with not much very clear in motives

Grim Tales:
Past- Dark compelling story to save his sister
Present- Still compelling within reason, but now Mimi gets all the attention with less sense of urgency in the plot

Sugar Bits:
Past: Original characters with a promising concept for a story leading up to a big battle
Present: Big Battle.... Big Battle... Same Big Battle.... oh the plot finally moved and not much feels accomplished

Despite knowing this, I still keep coming back just because of what had been accomplished in the past.

Part of the problem is that plot wise, we do know generally where this is going. Jeff is going at least try to give Mimi this as a present, maybe even taking her to Limbo. Whether or not he succeeds, it will become a symbol of the little humanity remaining in her, and it's going to end up on her forehead.

Despite this, I like seeing GTFO. As it's progressed, it's clear how far "gone" Mimi is. While GT showed Mimi in action, the moments when she wasn't fighting she showed elements of vulnerablity. Here, she seems to be utterly consumed to the point where almost nothing remains of the little girl Jeff helped raise. Jeff had to do a lot of work to get Mimi to the point where she was in GT.

I find that racist.
