Lico is definitely a loose end... A dynamic character "born of sorrow" with an ability to survive certain death vanishes without a trace? Face it, we'll never see her again.

Even if Ginger is finally accepting her mother's passing, and somehow that made Licorice fade away, Lico is still inside her somewhere, and can probably br brought back with the right catalyst of sorrow.

Or something similar to the magic that allowed Hansel (and the other gingerbread men) to live gave Licorice substance permanently, and she's going to continue to be a card carrying villain in a future installment. Cue the evil "dun dun DUN" music.
