For some reason I was thinking of Bleedman when I read the guy's dialogue.
I'm so horrible.

I get the feeling it's meant to, given that he's large and round and wearing an orange shirt, which...are sort of part of Bleedman's trademark design for his self-insert cameo appearances (or at least most of us assume they are self-insert cameos, given that it's part of what seems to be his usual outfit).

...Which kinda makes this whole page feel awkward...

Boobear also seems to have Bleed's hairstyle, based on the head in the last panel.

I'm wondering if Boobear will end up being a nice guy, and he's only made out to be creepy here, kind of like a weird Jeff. I mean it would be fitting if it's a Bleedman cameo, since his like of Lo.lis often times paints him as a creepy pedo, but I'm sure he's actually a nice guy.

It's kind of like how a lot of us here can have a thing for certain characters but not actually have any predatory desires, or any interest whatsoever towards real people of that age frame.

This page reminded me of this dude http://sugar.snafu-comics.com/index.php?comic_id=139.
I never noticed the Madoka stuff, since I didn't watch it til recently, fun stuff.

Oh, and the more I think about this page, the more I feel like this poor girl was abused into imagining the realms of SB.

Also Pyre, there's a disable slimies check box around the posting options, that way you can type 'loli' without it turning into a emote.

I know the guy seems to have the same outfit as Bleed, but all we've seen so far is a large silhouette, his face and a neck's worth of clothing. Besides, Bleed's shown with one of those short-sleeve business shirts. This guy looks like he's wearing some kind of sweater. Until I see the rest of him, I remain skeptical.

I don't like where this is going.

And seriously, anyone remembers this little gem? http://sugar.snafu-comics.com/index.php?comic_id=59

Those were only two panels, and it still left a bad taste in my mouth, and now it's part of the main story?

I could be wrong about Boobear... I hope I'm wrong about that fucker.

Yeah... that was also a bit creepy. Not to mention it was nothing but pointless filler.

Makes me wonder if they thought that their audience would find it funny.

Calling pedophilic tendencies 'flaws' is a big understatement.

There's an enormous amount of people that openly admit to having pedophilic tendencies. Calling it a flaw is a matter of opinion. The severity of it is also an opinion.

I agree with MadDoc though.

Having them is no prob, it's just acting on them(at least in the direct way) that is (and probably always should be) a big no-no.

Define 'act'.
Bleed drawing loli-esque characters is something widely practiced.
The more lewd stuff irks me, but that's also done often within the communities that openly express their preference for it.

What I meant was, having peohilic thoughts is probably no big problem, actually trying to engage in actual acts of pedophilia is not. Is the same concept as most crimes, you're free to WANT to kill people, but actually trying to do it isn't.

I think he was asking you what acts qualify as "acting on it" to you.

I think Lady Sally McGee (via Spider Robinson) summed it up best, "A fanatasty is not an act. It isn't even a wish. There is no such thing as a blameworthy or a culplable fantasy." (I'm paraphrasing, don't have my book next to me)
