To everyone:

I don't know what a "Doujinshi" in english means. If anyone has got a reason Doujinshi has an english translation, just feel free to post.

As far as I know, doujinshi just means an "unofficial comic" or like a fan-comic.
But I don't actually know the english word that represents it.
Also, doujinshi is a term usually used with only unofficial mangas or comics sporting anime like art, with the laid back copyright laws in japan, it's pretty easy for a person to make a doujinshi for a anime or manga, and even sell it.

Doujinshi simply means"fanwork".That's of any kind.

Actually, the exact translation of the word Doujinshi is, "self-made"(i don`t know Japanese, but a guy named Ragnarok explained it to me, he`s my Anime-Guru). But yeah mostly it stands for fan-art or fan-comic.

There are some comics that are just parodies, and you also have H-Doujins. Wait, what's the difference between doujinshi and doujin?
