EDIT: i too hope that is monster house from the movie
I don't think you know exactly what kind of Pandora's box you just opened.

At this point your best hope is simply sitting still, being quiet and not hitting the hornet's nest with an aluminum bat.

But... I think it may be too late.

I can't help but think that it's the house from UP.

Retarded 12 year olds aside,

Then that would mean there's a huge tentacle... Thing around there. It would be nice to see a massive creature. Like, REAL massive. Like colossal. And not as an enemy, just as a background element, but as a very big and majestic one.

I'm gonna rage if it turns out to be true because that would certainly not be majestic at all.

Sorry, back on the whole Mimi hairstyle thing. I may have a explanation.

If we look in the past pages, Mimi, at no point in her foreseeable life,
she have long bangs. Not Powerless Mimi nor Demon Mimi.
The only instance is when Mimi was in a wheelchair which means
the current pages take place shortly after or (possibly) before the events
of Horrors hand.

The before Horror hand theory is only possible if Mimi got her powers and then had them removed
Magically (by Raven) which may explain why she was in a wheelchair.

Another alternative is that this takes place in the relatively near future.
I have noticed (And I may be wrong about this) that Mimi looks structurally “different”.
To me, she seems taller or more matured then when we last saw her.
This would mean she has regained her powers and is out in the, I presume, underworld, bashing some heads in BUT this creates more questions than it answers.

I wonder if she isn't engaged in a battle, but is in a sort of training moment. If this is shortly after she'd been turned into her demonic version, then it would make some sense.

I wouldn't be so quick to assume this is an older Mimi either. Bleed did say that "What is GTFO? A collection of short stories that explores certain backgrounds and biographies of GT heroes and heroines. This episode will feature - Mimi."

Its going to be in the past tense, and if it does venture into the future, I assume it won't be too far. another thing, do judge too much on art design. Bleed is always improving his art style, and especially in anime/manga, it has a tendency to alter depending on the action scene.

Ah, now I see. I did not previously know that.
Thank you for clearing that up for me.
As for the art work, I can be over-analytical at times.

I'd guess shortly after her transformation because Occam's razor. Also if the powers constantly get removed I think they louse their value.

How very astute of you, kudos.
How would the powers lose their value?

Heh, cute reference to how Mina saved the count's ass in court by allegedly claiming she was a werewolf. But yeah mina was not a vampire and not a werewolf. It's kinda weird to see her as a "true vampire" and then as a werewolf too, isn't it supposed to be one or the other?

Were-pyre... Or something

Poor Grids... I think he was ignored, you guys...

And about the whole HAIR thing. Again; this was called "Birthday", so I'm gonna say this is where Mimi gets the necklace from Jeff (that was from Raven). She cuts her bangs - or something - to put it on her forehead?

It was badly written, and in hindsight the point doesn't make too much sense. The idea is that this demon-ification (yeah), is a significant event, and if the powers get added and removed frequently the weight behind adding/removing them will be lost.
Something like this:
Junior: The powers are pure evil, we can't put them inside of Mimi again!
Voice of Reason: Why not? We'll just get them out later, no problem. It's not like we havn't done it before.
Of course, there is no reason to make adding/removing the powers a significant event. Maybe the process is pretty easy. It's just something that I'd like to see hold more weight.

Oh, I see.
I believe what you meant to say was that the significance of having Mimi's powers would be devalued
but the powers themselves would remain in value. Am I correct?

Why not just take all the evil out of it and make it a controllable essence? I don't want to sound too much like a nerd, but in Twilight Princess, that's exactly what happened.

Sucked the darkness out of Link, turned it into a crystal to be used on command.

Just saying why not harness the evil powers of Him for a later day? Fighting fire with fire, you know?

I want to state for the record that Mimi is an outstanding fighter, it would be a damn shame if she turns into a bed-ridden guilt character instead of the single most skilled fighter in Hell.

Since it is pure evil, sucking the evil out of it seems unnecessary. Mandy's machine already extracted Gigyas, so it can be merged with her later if necessary. Containing it is the issue though. Seems to have a mind of its own.

I thought it might be Dorthy's house from The Wizard of Oz, and if it successfully hit Mina it would be akin to the death if the Wicked Witch of the East. But The Wizard of Oz isn't a cartoon so if it is the monster house that would make sense.
