Even though I think it seems out of character for Mandy to step down from a fight with somebody that challenges her authority, I have to say this at least seems acceptable in the approach. Mandy does get what she wants with no need to put effort into it and even uses the word "pet" to demean Mimi.

As for Minnie...I'm rather curious about how she's act about this. Will she act rather...nasty about it, or well she just bottle it up, act...well, "civil" I suppose to Mimi and try umpteen times as hard to win Jr over, or will she just leave them to it as a forsaken cause and mope about it.

I'm not a bit follower of the last option, because nobody with Mandy's blood in them would just give in like that. I foresee a mix of the first and second option.

Although *sighs* part of me wishes she could just...get Jr, but in-canon-characterisation and all that...Ah well. *Waves little Minnie flag*

Even though I've read the strip from the beginning, I've just joined the forum because I am trying to get things in the right perspective, and this seems a good place in the story to do so.

As I see it, Mandy's reaction is simple parental pride at their kid standing up for something they feel is important to them. In other words..."If it's important enough to you, for you to stand up against me, then will let it slide...". The "spineless thing" was a back-handed compliment she gave him.

As for Jr's powers...correct me if I'm wrong but didn't he get them from Mindy?
I don't think we've been told who Jr's genetic father is. Grim, as Death, can't create life. He can't father any of the children. I'm still betting on Billy. There's got to be something special about someone who's hourglass is as twisted as his was and both heaven and hell don't want you.


So here's the next idea...if Jr could gain power from Mindy, could he also gain power from Mimi?

WHAT? OK first there's no way that nasty, dumbfounded kid named Billy can be Jr.'s father! And second maybe Jr. can take some of Mimi's power's as well because if you think about it Nergal powers are technically symbiotic so if he's expose to her powers Jr. can absorb some samples of it and add it to his own just like how he did to Dark Danni during their fight at hallowing town

Considering Billy's stupidity is genetic, if we consider his dad.

But, I guess it's possible that Mandy and Billy just...cancel each-other out, because I haven't seen any similarities that Jr has to either of them.

In fact, I wouldn't be overly amazed if Jr wasn't even Mandy's son, although I think that was confirmed by someone in the comic, it's been a while since I read through it.
