Well, you should consider the following factors:

1. A battle that lasted 3 fucking years.

2. Uninteresting characters.

3. We don't fully understand the characters and their actions.

4. Overall boring story.

In my honest opinion, this comic can't redeem itself. I remember Seir saying that they would probably reboot the comic as soon as this chapter is over, something I strongly support because right now, the comic is a horrible mess. Hell, why wait until the chapter closes? Again, Seir is out, and with a new writer, they probably dropped the idea, so who knows?

A battle that lasted 3 years... sounds familiar? Maybe another comic with endless cameos, lame jokes, a boring story, and a battle that started a year ago?

I like how this town is so used to bombs, and horrible activity, that someone can easily stay on the computer, while a monster battle, is going on outside. And just glance over, when two girls crash thru their window, unless this man will have a greater reaction in the next page.

I check this comic about every time I check Grim Tales and PPGD. It really doesn't update as often. I don't know what happened to the plot. It seemed like it was going one destination, then changed its mind and decided to go somewhere else.

I doubt that was ever a factor, considering the "creepy" things that go on in other more successful comics. Most of these factors are based on opinion. I felt it had potential, being a complete original story. But the lack of focus in favor for the more recognizeable comics probably killed it.

On the page, I don't think he's ever gotten this close with interacting with the characters. Maybe he'll faint from the sheer fulfillment of an otaku dream.

By "lack of focus in favor for the more recognizable comics", you mean that the lack of updates killed the comic, right? Because if that's the case, I'm afraid you are wrong. Any story has potential, especially if you happen to be the most famous artist in DeviantArt (back in 2007), and while I agree that the lack of updates made this a forgettable comic, the real problem was the story and how they decided to fuck it up with that battle. Back in August 2008, there was still potential in the story, the protagonists of the story were in this new land looking for Ginger, some scarecrow creature thing transported Hansel to this dangerous place, and... yeah, the comic wasn't still ruined. Then Licorice shot that limo with a bazooka, those fucking idiots (Bo and Brave) decided to expand the fight rather than let these other idiots die, then Red appeared out of nowhere (seriously, WTF?), and every update we got was another piece of this extremely boring battle. The characters weren't fully developed back then, the story was barely beginning to make sense, and then they do this? Who wrote this? Why? It's like a script written by Michael Bay, just remove the explosions and add more random shit to this fight.

Perhaps the worst part is that you don't even know the motivation of Licorice, you don't know how she got all these guys to fight for her, overall, we don't know a fucking thing about the comic, so again, why bother? Will this ever be explained?

Almost the exact same could be said about PPGD and GT right now, but then again, there will always be drooling idiots who will take the bullet for Bleedman and his writers so they can see more cameos.

@T-800: I meant in general, but a more regular update schedule would have sped this battle along and gotten to the important plot points before the comic could've decayed to this state.

I just hope for some way to revive it. All those questions you brought up are what I want answers to. Not another EverAfter.
