well me demonstrably. but who am i anyway.

i'm not really concerned with issues of audience on a deep level, even if i understand the target of our peculiar employer's sense of demography.

i'm more concerned that the stories present and evoke certain themes in their presentation, and that deviating from them hurts the quality of the final product. and additionally the impact that it has at every level of presentation, audience to author, even if some of those impacts aren't really much to worry about.

Meh, I like fanservice. Not the adult Mandy variety because her design is not really appealing to me(something about her face doesn't really work for me). But it's not like Bleedman's comics are super deep literary works, so a bit of fanservice bonus to spice things up, doesn't really hurt the "seriousness" of the story.

And really, the Bleedman Mandy is so different a character from the original Mandy, it's not your "childhood icon" anymore, it's a different character. Only with the same name, and slightly inspired by the original.

She doesn't appear to be quite as dark, sarcastic or cynical anymore. Just seems to settle for violence and death glares now.

Which isn't that surprising really, I suppose. The young Mandy didn't have any current goals and seemed to be satisfied with a few snide comments.

I have no idea what you're talking about - from the very first time Mimi's shown her hell-ish side, the spikes have always been gray, or white (depending on the the lighting)... They've never been red
- the only times they're not there at all is when Mimi's farther away, and drawn smaller, which would make the spikes quite difficult to draw

The comic's color and design change over time. Small inconsistences are present within the work, to either the artist's error or to explain a point.

Now color change can also be link to light and shadow, in the instince of Mimi's spikes.

I think mandy is actually a developed character in her own light.

Ahe is the unfaithful dutchess archetype and is also the ruthless queen neccisary for her soft hearted husband. (google the archetype to get my point). plus she is the short and to the point type. What can i say with the least amount of words to convey my point effectivly, kinda girl. And the fanservice slightly make this scene more real in the sense that she wouldn't have the time to do otherwise change and she is confident in that she wont need it against a meer child.
