What she said :p

The possibility of Sozin already have had a child is also there, but in either sense, the Air Nomads wouldn't have been wiped out.

Agreed, assuming Soizin's plan was all his own, as opposed to something held by the whole of the royal family at the time (if it is the whole plan is simply taken up by whoever is Soizin's successor is and the whole thing starts again).

Zuko is still alive, isn't he? It's been a while since the first season where I'm pretty sure it was mentioned.

On the Nick "Welcome to Republic City" game it said that Zuko was alive, retired, and traveling the world.

On today's episode, I enjoyed it but was kinda surprised by Aang's apparent lousy parenting. I guess that explains why they never refer to him as dad. Korra better realize Unalaq is evil by next episode. That ulterior plan of his remind me of Total Recall.

Does this mean that the Dai Lee kept brainwashing people in the post Avatar world, or is it just a coincidence of her having the same name?

Nevermind, her name is actually "Ju Li"

That and Unalaq being too similar to Tarrlok.

Gonna throw out that I don't find the plot or characters particularly more objectionable than Season 1.

Korra found out that her entire life was not an order issued by her predecessor, but by her father being a jerk. That's enough to make someone be a dick for a little while, and respond to someone who is unilaterally against their dad seem better to them by comparison.

Unalol's plot development will be something I will be interested in to see if they make him JUST Amon 2.0 or something else.

Also it makes plenty of sense to me that Amon just put on his makeup a few times a year. It's not like he needs to prove he's got a scar every day and that the scar should look brand new or anything.

As a beleaguered writer with the same issue, I feel for dudes who are being subjected to what looks to me like some serious overthinking going on.

One thing worse is that Mako is joining Bolin as background character. I don't see him playing any major roles in this.

Okay, the blood sucking leech this is really pissing me off anymore.

Mako did not call Asami a blood sucking leech. It was a figure of speech, as people would say bandaid instead of blood sucking leech. Jfc. Yes, the writing was kind of shit there, but come on.

blood-sucking leeches were once used as bandaids... and still are in some cultures (also maggots)
I just love how people put commas, in places they so obviously, do not belong.

I don't know about you, but I love the Young Justice animated series.

"sigh" no, they were used as BLOOD PURIFIERS/EXTRACTORS. Using them as a Band-Aids would not only be pointless, it would be counterproductive; leech saliva contains anti-coagulants, so they actually make you bleed MORE. They do, however have a valuable role in the reattachment of small body parts like fingers; by their suction, they can keep the blood flowing at the point of severance, thereby minimizing tissue death and increasing the likeyhood of the re-attachment being successful. Maggots were, however sometimes used to clean out dead tissue (increasing would healing) and still are. Oh and the heads of driver ants are used as sutures.

I actually just saw that on Tumblr. Fucking crazy.

And I thought I'd enjoy Eska, but now they're just beating a dead horse with her "relationship" with Bolin. And it looks like, yet again, Bolin is comic relief. At least Sokka had development, jfc.

Hmm. I like Eska.

She's fricking nuts, but strong. And I can empathise with Bolin a bit, and he makes me smile. Some character development would be nice, it depends probably on whether or not their relationship continues or not.

Ok, at this point I don't really see the all-powerful Avatar state being useful here. She doesn't use it against Unalaq, obviously one of the most powerful waterbender, she (or Bolin) doesn't keep him in place with earthbending after knocking him out, and she doesn't just fly over to the ship with airbending and instead uses a plane.

It's clear Unalaq is the villain, with the revelation so solid that it ends my hope that he's more than Tarrloq 2.0. Next we will have Korra talking to Avatar Wan to learn spiritbending, since learning from Unalaq is no longer an option, because I don't see why else would they introduce Wan.

And somehow Eska can spot Bolin on a ship miles away.

Anyway, watching the show and...how the hell is this a trial? The judge is doing the prosecuting. I don't know if a jury is necessary for treason, but if there should be, there aren't. It's bullshit.

Edit:Death penalty? BULLSHIT.

Final edit: The fuck Eska. That is...Wow.
