Because his style works on either just cell shading, or with fully rendered shading.

I do agree with Seiryuga there.

It does feel a little amateurish compared to other works out there.

I'll happily admit that over my time as an editor, a lot of the content in Bleed's comic was never part of my childhood nor did I have much interest in the shows they were based upon. I do what I can to learn more about it though.

Death Note never really drew me in, I suppose.

Elfen Lied was more my thing.

I KNOW OF Death Note, I just never watched it. Hence I wouldn't have picked who the character was.

Eh Ryuk(the thing Light is holding) is a quite recognizable design that's immediately relatable to DN, even if you haven't watched the show and only saw pics of it. But ok.

And Death Note was a good manga. You should read it, it allows you to have fun if you like complex intricate plots.

I'm not really sure who it's supposed to be, either. It looks like it could be Light, but his eyes are empty and he's bare foot. And those are more associated with L and Near, but his hair is nothing like L's.
