I don't get what the old sock-wearing pony is referencing, but I recognized Huey, Dewey, and Louie right away. I love the attention to detail on their cutie marks as well:

A Trumpet for Louie because of Louie Armstrong.
A card catalog for Dewey because of the Dewey Decimal System
I can't tell what the heck Huey's is, though... some kind of elephant? Baby Huey, another cartoon character?

Technically the nephews were actually named for Huey Long, Thomas Dewey, and Disney animator Louis Schmitt, but it's funny, nonetheless.

Probably Baby Huey, that looks like a duck head in a baby bonnet

I see everyone(or almost) have read the Micro-comic of Celestia and seen some easter-eggs in it.

But none have said about Harry Potter characters in it yet? I am impressed...

Hello. I know it is probably the last thing anyone wants to talk about but, I just watched the first two episodes of MLP. I enjoyed it more than I thought, strangely, but I am not sure if I will keep watching.

Not at all. In fact I encourage you to continue as the first two episodes are the second worst episodes in the series. They are merely introductory so that is common place, but if you enjoyed those first two I can assure that the episodes beyond are way better.

As Dibullba said, if you enjoy the first two, you may enjoy the rest of the series even more. Also check out the fanart if you like

KEEP GOING, IT GETS BETTER.

Personally, I had to skip the songs in it because they drive me nuts. Season 2 was my favorite.

Songs do not happen often do they? But what little I have seen is not enough for me to have a favourite character. I disliked that baby dragon character.

I don't think they do, I'm not sure.

Keep watching and you'll see what I mean by you being a lot like Fluttershy.

It depends on the occasion. Usually, though, most episodes have one or two songs. Season premieres/finales and episodes considered special in some manner usually have a handful. They aren't all bad, though--some, like Winter Wrap-Up, Art of the Dress, Smile Song, Super Cider Squeezy 6000 (this one's a reference to this), and This Day Aria (this one's a spoiler, but I love this one 'cause it's practically a Little Mermaid reference), are considered beloved among the fandom, among others.

Okay, some songs are good. Like the ones Hiroko pointed out.

I did like the duet with RD and Fluttershy, now that I think about it.

Than you probably wouldn't like half the fanart I do of the show because its very Spike and Twilight focused. I just like the little thing between them since Spike is sorta like her adopted brother (or son if you want to look at it that way).

To be honest, in the beginning I wasn't sure about the characters myself. The one exception was Dash who I adored the moment she appeared on screen. I'd go as far as saying Dash is part of the reason why I kept watching the show. Now a days I like all the characters. Even the ones people generally don't like, like say Diamond Tiara.

Also, songs only happen when the creators feel like it (I think) and none of them have felt forced to me. Except for one occasion in one episode at the end of a certain third season. Most of the songs are pretty catchy, I still listen to "This Day" every so often, but that's mainly because I have an obsession with villain songs. The episodes that have songs are the minority though.

Actually, less than half of the episodes have songs, and many of them are just very short songs from Pinkie Pie. There are no bad songs, though the intro is overly girly.

Octavia is the best musician pony.

Period.

BTW: There was a semester that I was only hearing "Smile" and "Becoming Popular".
Now I am hearing more often "Crush"(sad, no full song yet; only half of it) and "Opening Title Theme" from LPS, done by Daniel Ingram; the same composer from MLP(if we are talking about more cartoon songs).

I will not ruin the experience for you going through the episodes ari. They do start off with some short songs from Pinkie Pie that are forgettable, but just wait til you get to the first that is not a short song. As for Spike being an unlikeable character, he will definitely come off that way for majority of season one as I had two characters I despised for that season alone. You might end up changing your mind beyond season one, but that is all preference.

I think part of the reason I dislike the character is because of the voice actor and not because of anything particular about the character. She played a really annoying character in black lagoon. I am sure I will grow to like him more later.

Huh. I didn't know that Cathy Weseluck voiced Spike and Garcia Lovegood (Black Lagoon)

So that puts Ashely Ball (Applejack and Rainbow Dash) as Hansel (which makes the whole Rainbow Factory thing make sense to me) and Tabitha St Germain (Rarity, Granny Smith, Princess Luna/Nightmare Moon, Photo Finish, Mrs. Cake, Pound Cake, Derpy Hooves) who plays Roberta in Black Lagoon.

That makes Spike's crush on Rarity funnier to me now.

Yes, that is her. She also voices Near in death note.

I am just going to assume I missed something. or have yet to see something.

Have you seen blood trail yet? I do not wish to spoil the ending but It goes a bit further than that.

You didn't really miss anything. You'll have to dive deeper into the fandom to probably want to touch Rainbow Factory at the moment.

Hello there, soon to be a brony ari-6. Like everybody been telling you the show of my little ponys surely does get better after season 1. Oh and hey everybody how its going? Hey I got a question for you guys, what do you think the princesses personalty was 1000 years ago? Also do you believe they have fallen in love within those years or do you believe they couldn't fall in love because of the consequences it would bring for equestria?

I believe that Celestia was actually a good leader in the past until she ended up bored and thus began her trolling tyrade. As for Luna.... well she was a moon.
