Oh my christ... I about had a heart attack just now.

FINALLY got all the expressions done for ponies with the default female eyes, like Twilight, Pinkie, Dash and Applejack. Decided afterward to improve eye control, giving me the ability to morph the iris shape from full-size oval to tiny and circular. That done, I decided to test a few expressions, and on a whim decided to move some of the bones for a pose.

The head promptly warped the opposite direction, into a wild and unusable form. I panicked and despaired INSTANTLY. I tried resetting XForms, I tried dumping the skeleton and grafting it onto a new one with the saved vertex weights.

It wasn't for another half hour that I tried putting the morph modifier BENEATH the skin modifier, upon which it immediately fixed itself.

Shows how longs it's been since I worked with characters with facial animation in Max. I totally mixed up the order of the modifiers. I expected the morphs would affect the skin-rig badly if it came first, but on TOP of the skin, the morph targets were overriding the rig and making it warp to shit.

Ulgh... Maybe tomorrow I'll show you guys how it's gone, since I pretty much have a fully poseable Twilight now. Still have to figure out what needs doing for Rarity and Fluttershy. Probably gonna have a lot more to do for the one than the other.

Still yeah, tired, stressed-out, especially given I honestly thought less than an hour ago that hours upon hours of work had just gone up in flames before my very eyes...

I finished this thing just recently. I haven't drawn any cute pictures of RD and Scootaloo together so I decided to change that:

Who knows if that thing about Scootaloo not being able to fly is cannon or not for the time being.
Either way, as long as Rainbow Dash is around, she'll know what its like to feel the wind in her mane high above the ground.

Does anyone here live in/near enough to Utah that they're going to Crystal Mountain Ponycon? Because if you are, the founders of Bogyle Bronies are hosting a panel there where they're gonna discuss a few topics, including their upcoming projects, one of which I remind you is the CRISIS: Equestria audio play!

Related: We are a few days from our deadline for submitting recordings tryouts. After that, Iris, Couch, and I are gonna be picking our way through to find who's cast as who in the zoo! Following that, we'll be holding tryouts for the minor characters. Bit of good news and bad news in that regard.
Good News - We have more than enough male auditions to fill ALL of the major male characters' roles and most of the females, and there are a few standout VAs for each role. Notably, we have some AWESOME VAs for all of the OCs. You guys are gonna love 'em.
Bad News - Notice I said most of the females. We ran into a severe shortage of female VAs and, because of the workload it would put on a single VA to voice more than three major characters, we are having an extended tryout period for several roles (exactly which roles are as-of-yet unknown, but barring a miracle last-minute audition, Rarity and Rainbow Dash are among them). We'll be having tryouts throughout the week after we pick as many characters as we can, all the way through picking the minor characters. If anyone here knows anyone that would like to tryout for some characters, NOW is the chance to have them do it.

Lauren Faust met her husband Craig McCracken back when they were working on Powerpuff Girls. Genndy Tartakovsky also worked on both PPG and Dexter's Lab with McCracken before going on the make Samurai Jack. Lauren Faust then revamped MLP for G4 and virtually reinvigorated the franchise.

So all three elements of those drawings can be traced back to Lauren Faust in some way.

So you're right, it really isn't that bizarre.
