I'll admit I have yet to fully know what the entirety of the fandom's opinion is towards clop, r34 ponies.
An educated guess suggests that this shows both: the non-clopper's opinions on the cloppers and also the clopper's opinions on the way the non-cloppers feel about them.
Now keep that opinion in mind, as I inform you of my hypothesis.
I think that a large sum of the fandom over 18 or possibly younger is into such art but is not willing to admit it.
I base this on both the large amount of activity these sort of things see and also that a considerable amount of, what some would call, "top tier bronies" have in fact drawn, voiced for, or had something to do with such things.

If you've seen any of his livestreams or some of the ones he did with the staff of EqD then you know exactly what I'm talking about.
He also is considerably well known for recording readings of clop-fics.
Exhibit B: Johnjoseco
John typically keeps it clean and when he does go dirty it's mostly along the lines of HIGHLY suggestive as opposed to straight R34.

Yep. Of course there are more but I found these 3 examples to have more... gravity if you will.
Obviously this doesn't prove anything 100% but the evidence is suggestive of my hypothesis as much as the art is sexually suggestive. As a recap here's the hypothesis:
