Interesting info from an upcoming official book:

Cadance was originally an orphan pegasus. She was raised by earth ponies, and after having done some deeds, she was adopted and granted alicornhood by Celestia.

Waitwaitwait...    Does that mean she's like Celestia's previous student or something?

Here's a picture one of my watchers drew of Zero Two in a ponified form.
Yes, this is based off the final Boss from a Kirby game. For those of you who don't know, Zero Two is a fallen angel who cries tears of blood.

I like the sorta glow that Derpy has in this personally. All the pregnant women I've met have had this kind of glow to them and the artist does a pretty good job at capturing that. No idea why he or she likes to draw pregnancy though.

Soul, watch the unrated outtake. It took a weird, weird direction.

:I

So I saw that aforementioned Luna Eclipsed Review by CR.

I can appreciate his ability to convey his opinion and I agree with it mostly.

Including his comical comment in the Nostalgia Critic when he mentioned how season 3 was an abomination.

The season wasn't 100% crap but in the terms of this unnecessarily complex reverse-metaphor:

if each season was a cloned pony then season 3 is the defective one that scientists took pictures of solely to terrify overly curious searchers on the internet before euthanizing it, humanely of course.

Essentially when compared to the other two seasons.... yea.... but "opinions."

I think when people become big enough fans of something they feel like they can critique the shit out of it when it doesn't please them enough. Its part of the reason why Egoraptor once said he doesn't read comments anymore.

And no I'm not giving CR shit over it. Personally I've never seen any of his stuff and I barely even know who the guy is.

I'm not above getting critical on things I like to. I don't do reviews, but if I did I'd have a few negative things to say about stuff I actually like. For instance I really, really love PPG and Batman: TAS, but there are still episodes of that that I just dislike a lot. "I've Got Batman in my Basement" is considered to be the worst Batman episode to this very day.
And I'm still a little mad that the "Adventure Time" episode "Jake the Dad" was a total copout.

All that being said, there hasn't been an MLP: FIM episode that I've hated yet. Yeah, the season 3 final was underwhelming, but if the next one makes up for then, it won't be so bad.

I guess I can't bring myself to feel rage over a show that is this nice and upbeat.

This is also coming from the guy who views Equestria Girls as a shameless cash in on the show's popularity.
So... my opinions on things will be a little admittedly weird.

Everything is weird.

I don't know Mac. It's frightening seeing signs of decline I know it does not guarantee decline but it's still frightening.

Season 2 finale: Last minute brother and ANOTHER Alicorn?! Oh no this shits on everything we know........ was the initial reaction But Chrysalis, the changelings and those kick-ass songs made up for it and then some.
Initial hype rating: 5/5
After hype subsided rating: still 5/5, I mean you saw how shit got SO crazy SO quick.

Season 3 finale:
FIMFlamPhilosophy wrote:
Equestria, Equestria! Oh no, oh no! Sing Sing Sing! Alicorn alicorn alicorn alicorn alicorn.

Yeah that. Inter-season 3 parter or not, please give me something to go off of here! What wasn't explained?! Easier question: what was explained? Tiny bits, just teeny weeny bits.

Initial hype rating: Ummmm yea not really any hype just an "Oooh!" during that universal plane scene. To deny that scene's prettiness is to deny (insert profound second thing that makes you really agree with this sentence).

The conflict was presented and solved so quickly that it felt like more like a minor obstacle than a significant milestone.

Also because I just remembered: Celestia is a troll, being immortal is believed to make one see mortals as ants but geez lady!

Do you know what effect "Twilight's last test" had on Ponyville? I can wager many a guess, let's just say that there were more than a few reasons why the Alicorn party was at Canterlot as opposed to Ponyville aside from the obvious.

Can you say anarchy?

If your post season three terrors are still troubling you I will mention that the third season is sometimes the point when even the best of series have spots of trouble. Usually in season four things pick up again. In some series, season three is sort of a set up for things to come in season four and it tend to pay off sometimes and makes season four all the more better.

I know my moods tend to go from cynical to optimistic depending on what I'm talking about, but I think we'll be in for good improvements to the overall show in season four due to what has already been set up in season three.

Also, I also assuming that I fail to see the same "signs of decline" in the series that others may.

Edit: An example that comes to mind for me is the third Harry Potter. Both book and movie. I never really like the third Harry Potter, but it set things up for the over all story and was an entry that proved it had a right to exist, even if I didn't find it as entertaining as the other books. The term "Third times the charm" doesn't apply to everything it seems.

I still wonder to this day what Luna was reading in the beginning(?). Was it a book of spells, a thesaurus, a history book, the Daring Do Omnibus, what?

Funny coincidence: the artist that did that little poke animation is doing VA work for CRISIS; she currently is in the running for Curacao.

You know more than we do. It's hard to get excited about a show we know next to nothing about. It doesn't help that the things we do know don't look very promising.

^This. But I do trust Kusang about that image of the girls going around everyone thinks is the final draft actually isn't. Really, too much drama over what could be a simple misunderstanding.

As far as I know, they won't look anything like the official art. But I think it's pretty much the premise without the face tattoo and lipstick. More likely than not, the toys will look like the official art.

I'm pretty much down with the style.

Look how much I love the style! :D

These sketches look a little better. It has more rounded and softer features that doesn't go against the art style of the original show and its less cringe worthy. Also, is it just me or is AJ making a rude hand jester. I'm not sure what that means outside of my city, but in my town that jester she's making means, "F-you"

Is this official art work or just something you drew for fun? I kind of puts me in the mind of a Scott Pilgrim comic.
*Notices the little Scott at the bottom of your post*

One more thing: Is that Twilight dressed as Raven?
