I need help! I have been trying to make a manga (a promise that I must fulfill for a good friend) but I don't know how! Something tlike the powerpuff girls doujinshi. BLEEDMAN HEEEEELP!!!!!!!!!

What I have is adobe photoshop 5.0 (?)
How do I use it! What I do is scan my drawings but that didn't do me any good!

Yes, I find it funny that people atomatically go to the Snafu forums sometimes. Look at the names maybe? And Bleedman doesnt post much anyway does he, something about super fan people going all crazy on him.

He made his first post ever just a week or so ago... He does time to time read the fourms but rarely replies.

And look at Caligua, he went frikin nuts over B-man's first post. It was like it turned him on or something =P just glad he hasnt been obessing over it this week...

I think his posts for the news are usually ok, he types it better than the majority of forum users here do and it's their FIRST language

It's his choice though, and he doesn't feel confident enough to say what he really means and I can understand not wanting to post often when you're constantly wondering if you're really saying the right thing.

I remember seeing another topic somewhere on this very board that explained how to draw like Bleedman. Anyway, besides the point that you should probably read the forum rules and use better grammar in your post, you should realize that even Bleedman started somewhere, and there are a lot of aids you can get besides going up to other artists and hoping for their help. In one of his posts, bleedman even said that he spent hours doodling different poses to work body posture and movement.

Anyway, there are lots of places to start learning how to draw:

BOOKS
Check your local library, Waldenbooks, Suncoast Movies, or Amazon.com for books on drawing. If you're interested in manga, I'd suggest the (what a coincidence!) "how to draw manga" line of books.

Or, if you're cheap...

GOOGLE IT!
How to draw manga.com, BakaNeko.com, and several other "how to" websites can be found simply by searching the web. There's a ton of free advice just sitting around waiting to be used, so stop using the computer to steal porn and start learning.

I too wish to make comics. But first, I have to gain the knowledge, which is why I am using the sources available to me.

By learning, you gain knowledge, which makes it easier to someday create art or comics. Cause remember kiddies: knowledge is power!

I’m used to people popping up from everywhere at random times asking for art help. You won’t believe how many times I’ve seen Dan (Synj) hounded for the answers of how he is so good at art and animation and how they can apply that to themselves. They seem to think there is a simple method to just getting good.

Anyways, I wont suggest any art tutorial sites mainly because I don’t know any, but also because I doubt their abilities. The best way to learn art is to just draw still lifes and objects in motion, developing your style over a period of time. No book will tell you the true principles of art if it’s a 50-cent anime tutorial, or how to develop your own style. In one word, practice.

I heard bleedman lives in Philippines, Kabayan! Thats where I'm from... Now, I'm in Canada. I miss Philippines.

I have been drawing for years. And been making comics. sketches... On pad, not professionally. And I don't want to draw like Mr. Bleedman. I am my own style, I do not wish to copy someone's art. I ain't like that.

Anyway thanks for tips... And I think I will go for the internet, since I am cheap, I have no money with me, and y family is poor. Now don't go soft on me. I like the way I am.
