What's your favorite part about The PPG Doujinshi!

Postby Jack Salem » Sun Dec 05, 2004 5:31 pm

I want to know what you think is the best part about this comic. Also (if possible) we might want to hear what is your least favorite thing about this comic and what you might want to change (c'mon, lets be honest here >.@ ).

I like how the comic is drawn and the plot. What I dont like is that he is so good that I look at my drawings and cry. :(

I *LOVE* the Rowdy Ruff boys. I love that bleedman kept Brick's long hair, but stuck with the Rowdy's original designs. I would really love to see more of them!! :D

And the overall plot, use of characters, & artwork makes the comic very enjoyable too.

The artwork is incredable, and the story is well thought out and involved. However, I really love how Bleedman has taken characters from all these different cartoons, and seemlessly puts them all into an environment that seems natural for each character. I couldn't do that even if I tried. Kudos
First you draw an S. For snake....errr....dragon. Then, we'll draw a more different S. For the head, we'll draw a top mark on a long V. Then we'll put in a couple legs, maybe a couple of arms, and....whoa...I think I need to start over. It doesn't look quite....natural. (the S is for sucks)

Okay, starting again. S, more different S. Close the top off real good for his head, and then using consumate V's, we'll draw teeth, spinities, and angry eyebrows. Then we can add smoke, and maybe some fire. We can give him some wings, ya know, if he's a wingaling dragon. Lets put one of them beefy arms back on for good measure... That looks really good, coming out of the back of his neck there. Now he needs a name. How about.....TROGDOR the BURNiNATOR? OH YEAH! Check out all his majesty.

What I personally love is Bleedman has taken characters who were at one time to me something of extreme adoration through adolescence and has turned it into something beyond imagination. There are no limits here and he has taken the story to a new extreme. There's great cartooning here. Even if you didn't know these characters before hand you quickly relize their traits, their personalities, mannerisms. Characters that you love are interplaying on a level that you before only thought in your head. That and the drama he's brought into it all! That's what really does it. The latest page was a real shocker which is showing how deeply rooted this comic intends to go.

Damn that was long. It's good... what can ya say?? :D

I was a fan ever since Dexter countered Buttercup's kick with his Dexosuit, and said, "You will refer to me as none other than DEXTER, BOY GENIUS!"

THAT'S my favorite moment in the story because it's the single moment that got me hooked.

Seriously, I also love how Bleedman is not only making a simple PPG fan-comic but he's also including other characters from other shows and tied them all together somehow!
"You may have won the battle but I'm out of ammunition!" --The Four Postmen

Instead of constantly complaining about 4Kids, why not take action? Why not stop watching their butchered anime programming? You're only providing them with more undeserved ratings! That's what I did... after a while, actually.

I actually tried to give the 4Kids version of One Piece a chance, I REALLY DID! However, as the show progressed, I grew sicker and sicker of all the glaring edits and horrid voices! So, I've decided to avoid watching any 4Kids-related shows, which is a shame because the new Ninja Turtles cartoon is the only 4Kids show worth watching!

Saturday mornings are dead to me... way to go, Al Kahn!

The part that hooked me was the Samurai Jack scene in Chapter 2, when he first arrived, with that awesome looking negative image as he drew his sword above the Dread Dragon.

Agreed, Samurai Jack is just too damn cool... TOO DAMN COOL! :ogle: :ogle:

Hmm... the Rowdy Ruffs are also amazing. Hell, dunno... there are too many great things around it for me to decide. TOO MANY, I TELL YOU! :brickwall: :brickwall: :brickwall:

Same thing here, Dexter r0x. Bleedmans "Image" of Dex is far better then the original cartoon "image" While in the CN series, Dex is made to be funny, Here Dexter is a cool, silent character that always looks like he has eveything under control.
The general draw line is great too.(Teh Eds 0wn)

Characters + Plot + Style = me likey
During the day, in the middle of the night,
two dead boys got up to fight.
Back to back they faced each other,
drew their swords and shot each other.
A deaf policeman heard the noise,
came and shot the two dead boys.
And if you dont believe that this lie is true,
ask the blind man, he saw it too.

I'm really loving the new version of Dexter. Probably the best remake. Otto looks just as lightbulb-headed as ever.

I like Bell a lot. Not in that way, mind you....

She's just such a mystery; she's been in the comic from the beginning, though we (well, at least I) still know so little about her. What is she capable of? What connection (if any) does she have to the PPG? What I'm trying to say is, since she's apparently a PPG herself, it's only natural to assume that Chemical X was involved in her creation; but is that really all there is to it, and why would Dr. X (if he is Dr. Brisbane) create her if he was planning on reviving the RRB?
