Wouldn't it be something. To see Chi hire Skulker, send him on a mission to save Mimi.

If that was a memory, and not a random dream, then yeah it would be interesting. Unlikely, but interesting.

I'm pretty sure being shot in the face would count as a memory.

Re: Shocking development

In which case I would be interested in finding out who did rescue Chi from Skulker. Unless Mimi did something after that attack that we don't get to see, we can assume she failed to stop the kidnapping. Hell, might not have been a memory. Given Mimi's abilities, it might have been some sort of premonition.

Chi may have saved in her sleep and think Mimi did or Mimi wasn't down for long and beat the crap out of Skulker. Maybe.

Re: Shocking development

I don't know why this would be a dream. If it was, then it's completely pointless. If it's a memory, then it has a more solid meaning.

I don't see why we're assuming that Chi was saved from Skulker. She may have been saved from Skulker's employer. She may have been used as a successful hostage for a trade.

I can already imagine 1 scenario. Chi awakens in Skulker's care. They converse, Chi calmly questions the situation, Skulker leaves the answers simple, mainly saying how he's just being payed. Whatever happens after Skulker's employment happens.
It'd be funny to see Chi use Skulker as a contact.

i like flashback dreams when the shock of being hit wakes them up at least we know shes thinking of Chi...i hope all 4 of them become friends eventually even Demons can love :3

THANK YOU TENSHI! Finally someone besides me has said that Skulker isn't working alone. That he might be working for someone else. And you know what, it would be funny if Skulker pulled the same move Ghost did in Iron-man Armored Adventures. She pays him more than his employer, he says the mission was a fail, and leaves. But as it obviously shows and subtly say (some time ago) top left corner of chapter 9) this was a flashback. She just happen to have it while she was dreaming.

Well....it seems this page has solved nothing. I mean, I will admit the last chapter (despite Chi) did indeed move the story forward, but what does Mimi and Chi's love nest have to do with the upcoming underworld war?
It's kind of obvious Skulker isn't working alone, unless he is and likes to kidnap dark princesses for shits and giggles, but that would be ridiculous now! He is a bounty hunter, some one paid him to do what he did for...I don't know myself.

@Mega
Actually, a few people had the idea that Skulker was working for someone, a few also thought that Skulker would win the confrontation too.

I'm not too sure on whether or not Skulker would turn on his employer. It really depends on who is employer is. His target is Chi, in other words he's making enemies with Aku. If he's employed, his employer can more than likely hold there own, or at least have as much significance.

A writer reading the threads other than BR?!

Unexpected! :O

And I'm glad if that's the case. It means NEK can grow through us :)

It's possible that NEK did read the comments, and the shorten flashback is the end result of this. In which case, good on him. But if he did listen to our complaints, then he should at least mention this fact in the commentary. It would make us a lot happier knowing that he (and maybe Bleed) listened to us.

I had the same idea in the other thread.

Pretty much what I was thinking

It would be interesting. For some reason I think Chi would probably stay calm and question him rather than just freaking out.
What about Skulker? If he's smart he will leave Mimi there. If he is extremely silly then he will take her with him

It's a memory. I'm betting that they are going to feed us sections of this flashback at a time and let it really be a background story.

Going with Havoc's comment about the possibility of NEK listening to the fans, this could be the case to why it got shorter or they planned to feed snippets at a time.

Either way, its a win in my book.

I would guess that it was always the plan the break up the flash back over the course of the chapter. Of course I have no idea how far Bleed makes his drafts in advance though.

I really want this chapter to end with Minnie Her's appearance. The whole character is just speculation at this point but it does have fairly strong likelihood.

I just want to see the council already. I have been waiting for how they will portray Walker in the comic for some time now. He's the only overlord left to be introduced, and I want to see him.

Let's see what else... Skulker being stronger like Mimi as he is supposed to be, win, end of the (first) flashback of this chapter, win. Wanting to see the council, who hired Skulker (would be funny if it actually was Chi herself, a yandere would do that) and what Minnie will do.

Re: Shocking development

Fri Feb 14, 2014 8:09 pm

We have no reason to think Chi has even met Mimi yet so I doubt she hired him herself. If this were set after their first meeting then Chi already knows Mimi likes her. You could argue that it is Chi's idea of role play but then why would Skulker's intent be starting a war? If this event didn't have a real significance then why would it be a flash back to begin with?

I am also interested in seeing this council. Especially looking forward to seeing Mandy, Grim, HIM, Aku, Hunson and Walker in the same room.

Re: Shocking development

I also thought Chi might have hired Skulker but for different reasons, like her wanting to get rid of her dad's bodyguards.

Re: Shocking development

Fri Feb 14, 2014 9:35 pm

And Skulker just wants to start a war because he feels like it?

Re: Shocking development

If Skulker was this awesome, I can't wait to see Walker.

Everyone's saying 'I didn't see that coming'... allow me to quote.
"Well I sure hope somebody picks up that phone, because I ***king CALLED IT!"
Honestly, were me and Megadon really the only ones to even consider the idea that she was completely outclassed?

Re: Shocking development

Sat Feb 15, 2014 12:42 am

You only said that she was outclassed by Skulker.
You didn't say that this would end up as... well, what we see.
Sooo... you kinda didn't call it.

Re: Shocking development

Skulker was obviously working for someone, but that's over with. We are back to the story. Like I said before we may find out about the rest of it later, but for now I want to see what's about to happen in the present. More specially the 3-way battle between Junior, Minnie, and Chi, with Mimi smack dabbed in the middle. So I'm going back to wait and see mode.

See yall after the next update.

I'm pretty sure there will be a fight between Jr and Minnie, but I don't think Chi will be involved.
