Cyborg... Ohh, that's Samantha or Sam. She's from a old anime show called Medabots.

This is a flashback. So Bubbles and company are all currently panicking while dealing with the cluster bugs in the last chapter.

Now all we have to do is see if the bomb really goes off or if the future changes.

Holy shit, really? Wow, didn't know she was in Medabots.

I feel like this should be general information by now.

Yeah, but maybe it goes off, then nothing happens? We'll see I guess. Y'know, talking about different futures reminds me of an anime. Was it Mirai Nikki? I don't think so...
No wait, it was Mirai Nikki.

If you want to reply to a post that's not directly above you and is a different subject than the ones that are above you, then I would recommend using the quote function. It makes it easier to see what you're referring to. For example...

Tenshi Nova wrote:Interesting. So, I'm assuming Metabots was one of the shows scaled back a bit? Still a fictional universe, so I guess we can't be too nit-picky.

You have a good point. We probably shouldn't pull apart threads too much. But still, Samurai Jack's time traveling origins are canon in this story, so who know who else could have come from the future, and why. The question of rather or not Sam came from the future or not has me interested. If Sam did come from the future, then it raises all kinds of questions. Like why did X bring her here, and does her presents have anything to do with Jack?

Darkingdomhearts wrote:I like Sam, and do not hate her. But I do want her to die. I'm with you on the backstory, that if she dies we get to see her backstory of how she became a member of the Cluster.

For now, I remain neutral about her. I guess I'm sorta fond of her in a way, since I want to know about her backstory so bad. If I knew more about her origins, then I feel like that might sway me a bit more. Maybe there's a reason for her behavior. Maybe she's being controlled to some extent? Maybe her cybernetic enhancements were the result of some sort of accident? Things like this could make her a more sympathetic character.

However Sam along with the rest of the Darkstar Council was sent to assist Dr. X. Medabots and MLaaTR both take place in the future. MLaaTR somewhere in 2072 and of Medabots I dunno. However what if Vexus brought Sam along to this time? But then we have the problem with the rest of the MLaaTR cast being here. Since Wakeman is very well known on the world they must have been there their whole lives (or just a very long time).

Yes, Havoc mentioned that last page. BR pulled MlaaTR back, even though it was originally more into the future.

Re: The Edge Of The Sword

lets see...grim was brought in to do the timey wimey thing with blossom. That's why she still has time to choose.
It couldn't have been the sword, cause sam would have lost her grip on it and skewered bell. (never mind she was holding it to the front of her neck and slashed from behind)

"she makes a mistake" I think that's about sam threatening gir.

"just think, at first it must have been such a small problem" I think that refers to sam too. Or that panel was a distraction...is naga and crew trying to "save" sam?

Blossom doesn't die so that timeline has stopped.
So my guess is, Bell is gonna trash sam for threatening gir. Not that sam's already feeling it. The bomb does not go off, cluster loses, ending that alternate future.

*brain melts*

The equations that appeared to Blossom is due to maximum use of her Sherlock mode. This has been confirmed by BeeAre.

The split between PPGD and GT is due to an event that will be revealed in a future arc centered on Jack.

Oh man, I didn't realize the tension for the next page actually gets a little worse because you're so extremely excited for it. XD But I can't wait. Good things come to those who wait after all, and I began following the comic for two years I think, only recently joining the forums. This stuff also inspires me to write as well. It gives me ideas I can't contain. Next page will decide the future!

I know right? I'm just waiting for that "HOLY SHIT!" moment. Hopefully that will come when Jack's sword is effectively put to use. I think Bell will be the one that ends up with it next. After that, I'm not sure. It could trade hands once more, but I'm more inclined to believe Bell with be the one that uses it, since BR said something about a "moral loophole". I'm really hoping that it will be used on anyone but Sam. Maybe Gir, but I would like to see it slice/stab through someone made of flesh.

Also Sam mentioned something to Gir about that hairband conveying Gir to certain "Laws of Robotics". I took a look at the Laws of Robotics, and this is what I came up with:

The Three Laws are:
A robot may not injure a human being or, through inaction, allow a human being to come to harm.
A robot must obey the orders given to it by human beings, except where such orders would conflict with the First Law.
A robot must protect its own existence as long as such protection does not conflict with the First or Second Law.

I feel like there're a lot of hints in Sam's dialog. What do you guys think?

Actually, Medabots takes place in the 22nd century; further in the future than MLaaTR.

After some looking, it is possible that Blossom is using precognition to see the possible future and use that information to change the future.

That's basically what's happening.

Cerulean wrote:I think it's an effect from her Sherlock mode. Remember, Dexter did say before that if you're pushed far enough, you'll see all the variables, and what will (has to) happen next. Another thing to note is how she says "Why now?" when she starts to see what happens next. It looks like she was expecting it, just not right at this moment.

BeeAre wrote:Cerulean is correct; this is Sherlock mode working when it isn't supposed to work, and Blossom doesn't like it. :O
