NEK: Nothing to say, except I will do my best to keep this series going strong.

Great looking start to a new arc. Lots of atmosphere in just a few panels.

Glad to see Sugar Bits back looking fabulous.

Nek again, huh? Well, here's hoping he evolves as a writer. Not too much damage he can do here honestly.

That Sharkrobot advertisement within the VERY FIRST PAGE is kind of offputting. But whatever.

YES HELL FUCKING YES!!!

-ahem-

I don't like the idea of bringing sugar bits back. I'm not sure of the idea of NEK, writing it. Nice Shark Robot cameo btw.

Cameo? Seems like shameless advertisement.

Re: Melancholy

Well, at least it's not like The Man of Steel, where there was product placement every thirty seconds. Besides, it's not like it's gonna happen again.

Re: Melancholy

Well, I must say this is an unexpected surprise I guess?

Re: Melancholy

Sun Jan 05, 2014 10:06 pm

Curious. I thought BR or someone else was going to take over the reins of SB, not NEK.

Re: Melancholy

Well, I guess he proved his prowess to some extent on Grim Tales. Which in my opinion is going pretty well.

They weren't going to trust something like this to anyone, I guess NEK either fit the bill, personally wanted to do it or both.

either way I'm still glad SB is back,

Just when I thought I was out, NEK brought me back in!

One thing I can say about NEK's work is that it gives pretty good room for fanfiction, so I may end up making some of that depending on the Melancholy arc.

Your opinion aside, you do realize half or more of the forum hates him for what has happened with GT. Right?

NEK writing Sugar Bits, huh?

Well, here's hoping he doesn't screw this up...

Not sure why Ginger's not in the castle, not to mention what she's doing in the city again. I guess we'll just wait and see. As for the SharkRobot ad... No comment.

Sugar Bits has returned? This is quite surprising. I wish you the best of luck NEK. May you do well on Sugar Bits as well.

I am aware but I don't understand why? Is it Chi?

Either way, I guess none of the people in Snafu read the forums enough because now, Nek is writing Sugar Bits.

Besides I don't want to assume too much by saying this, but if they did leave him in charge weren't they then to some degree satisfied with the work he did? Who decides this stuff anyway? Bleedman?

It's great to see Sugar Bits is back. Plus the Sharkrobot cameo is nice add in. But this design on ginger (if that is ginger), too me, looks like Helga having a angry emo trip after Arnold rejected her. But all in all a nice design as always, and it's good to see Sugar Bits back.

Didn't expect this. Seems like we'll be getting a background story about Ginger too. As I recall she is in Dystopius now and also met Mammon when she was around this age.

Is it Chi? Kinda. It's not CHI herself, it's CHI the entire comic. Grim Tales was about a wide variety of rich characters with their own backstories and complex motives. A unique world where Mandy was a tyrannical ruler, a wife, an adulterer, and a mother all at the same time.

Now the story is angry bitchy Chi and lesbian loli romance with a little bit of Blossom rape mixed in for "flavor." It doesn't go down well with anyone who actually values good storytelling.

Also, everyone on Snafu was caught off guard. Moderator and member alike. This came completely out of the Blue. Bleedman's inner circle is an enigma to anyone not in it.

"They" left him in charge? There is no they, it's all Bleedman. Bleedman tends to do things on his own regardless of what other people think, this has led to infighting on multiple fronts, and even got Griddles, one of the most senior members on Bleedman's staff fired.

Nek is writing this.
...judgement will be reserved for a later time.
For now though, I'm interested in what's going to happen now that two of the most intriguing characters (Brave and Licorice) are gone. I would love to see Brave make a reappearance; though it's much, much too early to even think about that , I'm saying it anyway.
Nice ad, by the way. :/

Adding to what Bird posted.
The fact that many of the members have are voicing their opinions, no one has responded to them. I don't believe the last GT page was the tipping point, but it sent many people to the edge of the cliff. A small uproar greeted the last update.
Now that NEK seems to be given the reins to SB, without any form of a warning, while seemingly ignoring the responses to GT, and (this last point is more opinionated) his work on this page further supports the negative responses he's been given.
