Oh man, all this debate and you don't even know how the sword really gets used. Just imagine what's going to happen in a few pages.

Given what you said, I assume Jack's sword will used to:

1) Kill Sam.

2) Set the bomb off.

3) Purify Sam's soul.

Those to me; seem like the more likely scenarios. But I'm still holding out for one Puff, accidentally killing the other one.

Hmmmm, in that case, I'd say she's Chaotic Good.

I'd like it if it purified Sam.

Would that make Naga True Neutral, or Neutral Good?

Has Jack's sword ever "purified" anything in the show in anyway?

Sigment Kurosai wrote:Would that make Naga True Neutral, or Neutral Good?

Idk. In order to ascertain that, we would need to know what his motives are. I think DeeDee would be true good.

Another question I ask myself. Would Blossom or Buttercup use a lethal weapon on someone like Sam? Do they see he as merely a soulless machine? What I've been wanting to see for a long time, is Buttercup killing Samantha and regretting it.

I want to say it did something to a rock monster, but I can't remember anything about it.

No, what happened was the rock monster needed to be defeated so he may pass on because of a curse. Jack just so happened to have defeated him.

Well, in case, no. I no of no event (or reason) that would make the sword capable of purging someone.

Why is there this sudden care for Sam?
EDIT: And to clarify, before a certain son of a bitch likes to be a smart ass, it is a sudden occurrence of concern when the hate and wanting of Sam's death, and the Dark Star Council monsters, have been a focus in the forums for years.

Jack's sword was able to purify a black pool of evil energy, that trapped three monks and turned them into blind, but amazing archers.

So yeah, I think it is capable of purification.

Purity a pool of evil vs purify a robot.

Well, it is capable of purifying robots. We saw that many times in the show.

But I'd consider them to be different cases.

I looked it up, and I think he got the archers to shoot each other and that purified them of the well's curse.

I remember the episode where Jack fought the Demongo, and he used his sword to free the warriors he had trapped.
Now that you mention it, Samantha's situation is more technological, than spiritual. We've seen Jack Destroy robots, but I can't recall him purifying any.

Hmm, I'm curious about what got her to this point (I'm fine with her dying (being dead) though). It's been a while since I've seen Medabots (so I could be remembering things wrong), but I place Sam (and the Screws) on the same level of evil as Team Rocket from Pokemon (maybe somewhere a bit lower than that actually). Both groups being opposite of the main characters in terms of their beliefs, but still willing to help each other out when the situation calls for it. Sam also had a very close bond with her friends, so I'm wondering what happened to them. I'm mostly wondering what caused her to go from small time villain to that of a major league villain. Though, I'll admit that it's probably mostly nostalgia that's fueling my interest in her situation.

@Havoc
I think that he meant that he (Tenshi) just wanted to see someone die (since Randori said either people had a change of heart or that they just wanted to see someone die)

When Jack go the archers to shoot each other that did lift them of the curse but the pool of evil sludge was still. Jack then strikes it directly downward while yelling something like " you shall hurt innocents no longer I vanquish you from whence you came!"

Yea, he killed it. The damage then went back to Aku. But Sam isn't possessed, she asked for it.

I might be wrong but I don't believe the pool had anything to do with Aku. Or at least I do not think a connection was shown in the episode.

I vaguely recall a time where Jack stabbed a blob, and it returned to Aku. Not sure if it was this one. But either or, my point stands. :p

Come to think of it, Samantha's situation is more technologically based, than spiritual. Or at least that's how it appears.

The Creator wrote:When Jack go the archers to shoot each other that did lift them of the curse but the pool of evil sludge was still. Jack then strikes it directly downward while yelling something like " you shall hurt innocents no longer I vanquish you from whence you came!"

I was thinking more along the lines of: Some good gets taken over by evil, Jack stabs his sword into said person, the evil is destroyed without harming the person it possessed. Has anything like that ever happened in Samurai Jack?

Tenshi Nova wrote:But Sam isn't possessed, she asked for it.

Just because she asked for this, doesn't mean she was ready for any strings attached. She may have bitten off more that she can chew. It's possible the bionic attachments that she wanted so badly to give her more power, could have taken over.
