Ironically I just barely started watching Star Trek: Deep Space 9. Anyhow I saw this trailer today and it just look sweet. I never watched the original Star Trek series and I don't plan to but what really caught my eye on this trailer was Syler from Heros and Harold from Harold and Kumar. I realize the actors have real names but I don't honestly care.

anyhow trailer.

I'm feeling like a huge nerd right now.

I wasn't ever a hardcore fan of the original Star Trek, but I did enjoy watching it with my dad when I was younger. I can't wait for this.

Ah Gods! I remember watching that show every day with my dad... :'( The movie looks freakin sweet! This Kurk definitely looks WAY hotter than the original. Hopefully this won't lead him down the path to bad internet hotel commercials...

Before I hit IMDB and figure it out...wasnt the older Kirk Bobby/Iceman from the x-men movies? And Jake from the Animorphs TV show?

No, Iceman was Shawn Ashmore, the new Kirk is Chris Pine.

Sweetness. I'm a Star Wars man but really have a lot of love for the Star Trek series too, and this is one I can't wait to see.

Deep Space 9 is a great series. My favorite character is Odo, he always appears so calm and collected. It's the role I always remember Rene Auberjonois for.
