In a repeat of the hell I had to go through to get my xbox 360 to connect to the internet I can't seem to connect my Wii to the internet. I'll figure something out eventually but DAMN this is annoying.

I went to a fucking 12 hour tailgate party outside my store for a Wii...I got my Wii so that's awesome! I'll post my System Code later, trying to figure out how everything online stuff works...like I want to know evvvvverything.

Just so everyone knows, the Wii code is a console thing and not a per-game thing. Currently, it's to send messages, basically e-mails, to other Wiis. I'm not sure if it will be required to play games online.

Wii-Sports is not online capable, and downloaded games will work exactly like their original version, meaning no online for them either.

Two updates out of the box? Weird.

Ammending a friend to your Wii address-list isn't instant. You've both got to add each other first, and it will still be awhile before your able to send messages to one another.

The vast majority of Wii games are not compatible with GameCube controllers. If they are, the Cube's controller will appear on the back of the game's case. You'll need four Wii-motes to play Marvel: Ultimate Alliance.

If you don't have wireless internet, your options aren't numerous. Your going to have to buy a wireless router, a Nintendo WI-FI USB Connector, or wait for the Wii's wired router to be released in early January.

They're just working on it, but agreed. I do love that it's wi-fi out of the box though, instant internet (well, except for the two updates... I tried connecting before putting a game in, it hurt).

Odd...I'm able to hook that baby up Wireless in under a second...also there is a LAN Party Cable for Wii...good luck finding it. Um you should know able routers right? So just keep playing around.
