The only games a controller is better for are brawlers and racing games.

Games for which controller is inferior or practically unusable include: Point-and-click, RTS games, 4x games, strategy&management games, MOBA games, puzzle games, RPG and MMORGP games, Turn based games... etc.

Well, I guess some, if not most apparently, genre's a mouse and key board, but I still prefer the feel of a controller since I grew up with it. I've never played any serious games on the computer before, just on consoles with controllers, so you can say when it comes playing to games on the PC, I'm alien to that. Though I will admit, MMORPG and certain RPG games are best with the key board and mouse, like the Diablo series it seems like, and Point-and-Click games of course, but others like The Elder Scrolls: Skyrim and Dark Souls can be played with a controller just as easily as a key board and mouse.

I will admit trying to play platformers with my keyboard practically kills my fingers.

I'm the same way UltraDJ. I just started really getting into PC gaming last year, but being used to a controller it's feels like an awkward switch, especially when playing games like Dayz where you gotta be able to aim fast or move well otherwise you can die easily. What made things worse was that I started trying to play with a touch pad, which in the end was annoying despite some hilarity that came with it. At least the mouse I got had made a big difference!

Speaking of PC games. I absolutely adore Nuclear Throne from Steam.

You don't play first person shooters with a touchpad. Unless purely for laughs.
As for speed and accuracy, a mouse is superior to analog sticks. This is the reason why you have all the aim-assistance in console games, without that aiming well would have been really tough with a controller.
Mouse can give you that and more accuracy, provided you adjust the sensitivity to fit your needs, but you will have to get used to it. And it will not offer any help in snapping to target or locking on target, which may make it seem more difficult to aim with it at first.

I'm actually hoping to get a wireless adapter for my birthday, so I can play all of those platformers that are in unfinished limbo.

I'm excited for both, honestly. I really enjoyed Black Flag so I'm excited for more seafaring stuff and I'm pretty interested in the French revolution so I'm looking forward to playing through it, and I'm wondering whether they will include well known events from it.
"Suddenly Frodo noticed that a strange-looking weather-beaten man, sitting in the shadows near the wall, was also listening intently to the hobbit-talk. He had a tall tankard in front of him, and was smoking a long-stemmed pipe curiously carved. His legs were stretched out before him, showing high boots of supple leather that fitted him well, but had seen much wear and were now caked with mud. A travel-stained cloak of heavy dark-green cloth was drawn close about him, and in spite of the heat of the room he wore a hood that overshadowed his face; but the gleam of his eyes could be seen as he watched the hobbits."

Finally! It's over people! It's all over. Someone has finally did it. The terrifying Miracle Rouge has finally gotten the taste of their own bullshit.

Maybe I'll look into it after I complete the massive amount of games I don't have finished yet.

Same. I can't wait for Rogue and go after the Brotherhood instead.

And Unity has looked amazing with what they have done: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xryotcO4zzw

Slick descent rate, multiple ways to go through a mission, co-op action, it just looks great. I don't know how thrilled I am about the removal of the counter kill system, but I'm not going to cry over it.

Ehh, if it's anything like DA2, no.

I've always been a PC gamer exclusively. So whenever a friend of mine wants to play an awesome game on the Xbox or PS4, I always end up asking for the first person shooter games.

I don't know; the reflexes and intuitive from the keyboard and mouse translate better into the FPS controller experience.

Really? The first time I tired an FPS on my computer I had a hard time getting used to it. Then again, it was my first time, I haven't really practiced it too much on the PC. Maybe when I get some free time I'll try other games for the PC (I'd also like a controller for the PC for games, but it seems like you need specific controllers for other games and it's just ah)

Many games will work with an xbox 360 controller that is wired or a wireless one designed for windows. I cant possibly understand why any FPS could possibly play better on controller instead of keyboard.
