Favorite Video Games

Postby Exodis » Fri Feb 28, 2014 3:34 pm

Video games have been going on for decades, since the ever-popular Pong to the recent Goat Simulator.
You've probably played so many games, some great, some bad, and some that are truly bad (I'm looking at you, Sonic '06).
BUT... there is a small list of games that you truly loved, games that you go back and play for how great it is, games... that you consider your favorites.
What are you favorite video games of all time? Can't number them from 5 to 1? Just throw out some of your favorites!

Some of my favorite video games are:
-Bioshock
-Viewtiful Joe
-Sonic Adventure 2 Battle

Blazing Dragons (a playstation adventure point & click game) will always hold a special place in my heart. I drag it out every once in a while to play it all over again. Naturally I can finish it much faster than I could when I first played it (late 1990's), but I still enjoy it all the same. One scene that I'll probably always remember would be Rapunzel carrying around hedge trimmers to cut hair off her already hairless head every five seconds. I feel like playing it again....

Oh and other favorites:
-Animal Crossing
-Pokemon Blue
-Sonic Generations (I haven't gotten that far in this one, but I had fun playing what I did manage to play)

Earliest game I remember playing would be the first halo, and that had my favorite for years until I played half-life 2. My mind changed and I enjoyed gaming as a entertainment medium a whole lot more since then.

My favorites would be
-Knights of The Old Republic
-Half-Life 2
-Star Wars: Jedi Knight 2

- Tekken Tag Tournament
- Splinter Cell: Chaos Theory
- Halo 2
- The Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask
- AdventureQuest
- RuneScape 2
- The Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind

And other stuff I forgot. All the games I've listed are games I've spent a ton of time on throughout my childhood. I might have actually forgotten some though.

My all time favorite video game is the Pokemon Blue series. I just love the game. The animations and the graphics in the game are wonderful.

Sonic Adventure 2 Battle was pretty awesome. Replayed it so many times as a kid I could've quoted the game almost word for word. Almost.

Hmm... There's a lot of video games I would consider favorites. The ones that stand out at the moment are:

Super Mario World
Donkey Kong Country 2
Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask/ Wind Waker
Kirby's Air Ride

Haha. Mostly Nintendo titles in there for me.

Same! Replayed it so many time I just played throughout the game just to do some speedruns.
The soundtrack, the gameplay, the story: reasons why I love SA2B so much.

Haha. Yeah. Those are all the main reason why I love the game as well. That and it’s one of the very first Sonic games I’ve played.

Another big thing on why I love the game is the Chao Garden! There is just something to raising little blobs of cuteness and finding out how many cute forms they can take on (there were too many, couldn’t collect them all).

Sonic Adventure 2 Battle was one of the first Sonic games I played as well!

Chao Garden was awesome. I spent so much time trying to make special chaos, like a Sonic Chao, my personal chao that was a badass. But the CG memory was purposely erased by my brother and I lost all that... uhh I hated him for days. All that work: gone.

Oh yay!

Oh no. Punch your brother in the gut for me. Or a light jab. Or something. I know how it feels to have all your work gone in a flash like that, even if it's just something done in a video game.

I once was trying to get a surfing Pikachu back in the day. It was something ridiculously hard like defeat the hardest stadium in Pokemon Stadium, using only Pokemon in your Pokemon Yellow game and Pikachu has to be on the team or something like that. I was training my team and SURPRISE! Parents are like vacation in Vietnam, let's go. So, no biggie, just train my team while I was there. Cousins got my game somehow, replaced my save game and all that work goooone. Just gone.

Too devastated to start over. And I don't even know where my game is now, or if the N64 and it's attachments still work.

Oh well, live and learn. Hanging on the edge of tomorrow

Likewise, just not sure whether or not if he counts the MMOs that are in the series (XI and XIV).

I've played Final Fantasy V, VI, VII, VIII, IX, X, and XII. I my opinion, the series went to shit after X.

But anyways, here's a few of my favorite games in no specific order:

-Chrono Trigger
-Persona 4
-Timesplitters Future Perfect
-God Hand
-Kingdom Hearts
-Chrono Cross

I know a guy in the UK that's been enjoying Lightning Returns, and he doesn't strike me as a guy with poor judgement.

Anyway, if we're gonna keep this up, maybe we should do it by PM.

I can't say what game is my favorite, or even give a list. It changes from time to time depending on what mood I'm in.
Stufflikehearts - He is a Sith Lord. I love Blood Lord :3
Jeffffey - Blood, you look at the information someone says, look over what really happened, and reply in a way that makes them realize what they were really thinking.
Light10s - Blood Lord! Your avatars are becoming more epic. You make me feel like getting on all fours and submitting my loyalty and obedience to you.
Fievel - Numerous campaigns and conquests, countless bodies decaying after the abandonment of victorious battlefields. Such is the life of Blood Lord.
Dusk_Imp - Blood Lord is like a celebrity here. Everything he does is pure awesome. ALL HAIL BLOOD LORD
Doctress Who - Why couldn't there be a Blood Lord in every forum? It would make life so much easier.
