Is anyone psyched about this game? I sure as hell am.

I'm a fan of the entire Ogre Battle series.. my favorite strategy RPG series period actually. Great to see a remade version of Tactics Ogre. Now if we can just get another console version of Ogre Battle on the Wii.

I like that they'll have every class available for both genders. I just hope that gunner will no longer be a permanent class. Although, since there were only three guns originally, I never saw the need to have more than Rendel.

No one else is interested in this? Intriguing. I wonder how many of you are familiar with FFT's roots?

I am familiar with nothing. Every day, though, it seems more and more like I only got the PSP for the various remakes it has released.

So did I, but then I hated it. Even right now, though, I'm playing a remake on the PSP.

The original TO is fantastic, but I suspect that this incarnation will be even better. Superior to WotL, even.

I loved the FFT remake, too, but it had some flaws (as Fievel would be quick to point out) and I think Wheel of Fortune will be an improvement over it.

Some of the problems I had with the the remake of FFT are actual flaws, but a good number are just based on opinion. Either way, I'll probably be getting this game once it comes out. The subtitle reminds me of Yggdra Union's, though that's pretty unrelated.

Do you have some issue with the question? I'm only asking out of curiosity.

You're missing out. Since you like FFT, you would like this. It's the same team and they made it before joining Square. There are 3 different story paths and numerous characters and different endings. It's also difficult. If a character loses all HP, they're gone for good, unless you have a specific spell to revive them IN THE SAME BATTLE or have a means to turn them into some form of undead (some females can even become angels). There's also a dungeon with 100 floors of battles.

A point of interest regarding the remake: Hell Gate will have diverging paths which can lead you to dead ends.

I just bought this, but I'm waiting for the battery to charge so that I can run the update.

Kinda wish I had a PSP right now just for this game =/ makes me sad, cause I own all the other games in the Ogre Battle series so far.

It's a fantastic game so far. They made the customization element a bit more complex, but at least it's more varied and there are new spells.

I never really got into the Tactics Ogre series, even though I love me some . I've tried a couple of installments on emulators, but it never really bit me. Though that could very well be the emulator's fault. I don't own a PSP, though because...

... That's really the only good games it has.

Really? Not even Dissidia?
If you like FFT, you should like TO because it's FFT's predecessor (the same team made it).

Yeah, I went into GameStop and asked if it was out yet. "Yeah, it's been out for weeks." "Whhhhhuuuuuuuuuut?"

Dissidia, yes, I'd want that, but it wasn't an absolute statement. "Mostly ports" if you will. Besides, Dissidia is fan-wank, which makes it roughly the same category as ports. Really, it seems that Square Enix is appealing to a very specific audience on the PSP.
