I've been playing shaco a lot throughout different patches of the game. He is still strong. Good jungler, great ganker. The problem is that people don't know how to build him right. Shaco actually needs some beef, if you don't get him an item with +~500hp until mid game you're going to get raped every time. You're no ranged carry, you're an assassin, enemy will focus you and CC is your enemy. Shacos who avoid teamfights are just either inexperienced players, or clever ones. Shaco is not meant to be in a teamfight, but timing is everything. Shaco is like fiddle, you can't just run in with the others, you have to flank and wait for your turn. Once most of the massive ultis and CC are fired, and enemies aren't at full hp, you jump in for the squishy carries. A smart Shaco will be the only survivor of a failed teamfight, sometimes also with a support. Because Shaco players absolutely must know when to jump in and when to pull back.

You may think that Shaco is not a team playing champ, but you couldn't be more wrong. As a Shaco, you are entirely dependent on your team. They need to focus the enemies right if you are to be of any use at all. And you need to cooperate with positioning and map awareness. Not to mention, Shaco gets an edge early game, and you have to make use of it, otherwise you will be left behind. Early ganks need to be regular and effective, again you rely on teammates to coordinate and time them right.

Since I play random matchmaking most of the time, I tend to build hp early, while I don't need so much extra dmg to be a threat, and so that later I can actually take a few hits. Being melee means you need to be able to take a hit. Deceiving in means you must survive for at least ~10 seconds. Take flash to minimise dying due to random encounters. Max your two-shiv early for a reliable finisher/slow. And always pay attention to your team.

So, guys... I come offering several things today.

First off, Karma's gameplay remake. She looks more like an AP Carry than a Support now.

Second, the new champion. Zac, the Secret Weapon. Seems to be an AP Tank with one hell of an OP passive.

Third, ARAM is gonna get it's own queue like Summoner's Rift and Dominion. And it comes with a whole new map that actually looks pretty awesome.

There's not much you can improve on a map that only has 1 fucking lane. And they did make the nexus area smaller, so people like Pantheon and stealthers can't backdoor.

I can't wait to play on my new PC. I've been playing this at 14-25 fps for almost three years now. Good god 60+ fps will be grand.

Hey Zelosse, Trundle visual upgrade and lore change. He now belongs to Freljord, hence the icy theme.
But whoever owns him keeps the traditional skin for free, just like Karma.

Ya know, the change they're planning for Udyr's Tiger Stance is not sitting well with me.
They're completely removing the passive attack speed and replacing it with a 0.1 AD bonus ratio damage on auto attacks. The active will however gain more attack speed, will be a 3.0 AD ratio instead of 1.0 and will be physical damage instead of magic damage.

Also, Sejuani visual upgrade confuses me. Didn't she come out only last year?

Well at least with these champ updates, I can be hopeful of seeing a full Ice-based team. Anivia, Ashe, Sej, Trundle and Nunu. I hate to be the other team with all that CC.

I think they're remaking Sejuani for the same reason as Trundle.

Nobody plays them.

Plus apparently they decided that a bikini isn't the best fighting garments for a ice wasteland princess.

If we're going by that logic, Viktor would have received his upgrade by now. Most unplayed champ in the league, even more than Karma before the remake.

And there are other champs in a bigger need of a remake than her.

It wasn't so much the skills that they wanted to touch base on, it was the fact that they didn't fit what they really intended for the character as a whole.
Trundle was a ugly hobbling mess and now he's an imposing troll king.
Sejuani was a bikini wearing ice princess of an ugly boar. Now she's an armored warlord on a scary ass tiger-pig thing.
The lore and skills were updated because they didn't bring anything interesting to the league that others didn't do better.

Viktor is strong and his lore all fits, plus he doesn't look half bad. So he's on the same priority list as Shaco. "Not as needing as others"

We were originally supposed to unlock icons with achievements but that just never went anywhere.

So yeah. New Anivia skin looks badass and it made her evil, which is amusing. I like the animation changes they did with her overall too. The joke at the start was a hilarious play off of her current one. Also loving the changes they made with her lore, she's essentially the guardian of the Freljord in it's entirety now and I guess Lissandra is her nemesis now.

Huh, neat. The witch has a built in Hourglass, and a teleport of sorts.
